Genshin Impact: Selling Pokemons in Teyvat

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Potential Rivaling an Archon—Larvitar!

The worst-case scenario had come true. It was indeed a god.

An Archon from another world!

"Wow, Landorus, you're amazing!"

Xiangling stared at the freshly grown Jueyun Chilis, her eyes wide with amazement, and quickly praised Landorus.

"Hehe, go ahead and pick them. Remember, I get half of these Jueyun Chilis," Landorus said, hands on its hips, looking quite pleased with itself.

Hearing this, Xiangling immediately plucked a Jueyun Chili and took a bite, savoring the flavor.

The next moment, her eyes lit up.

"Delicious! It's even better than the Jueyun Chilis that grow naturally!"

With that, Xiangling grabbed the basket hanging around Guoba's neck and began diligently picking the Jueyun Chilis.

But her words struck a chord with Ningguang and Keqing.

"Visible growth speed, and a taste superior to naturally grown crops… Is this the divine authority of the God of Fields? Truly, these are unreasonable creatures," Ningguang thought to herself, but on her face, she maintained a warm smile, this time with a touch of sincerity.

Landorus had proven Li Pan's worth with its unreasonable divine authority.

After all, Teyvat was a world where the strong preyed on the weak. Power was the ultimate truth.

Meanwhile, Landorus noticed the change in Ningguang's expression. Beneath the cloud-like beard on its face, a smile appeared.

It had lived for a long time and witnessed many things. It had even seen epics carved into the annals of time. The longer it lived, the more it understood. It knew exactly why Keqing and Ningguang were here. It had deliberately shown off its abilities to increase their side's bargaining power.

And now, it seemed the effect was good.

Landorus looked at Li Pan with a kind gaze.

"Kid, I've really gone all out for you."

But as soon as it turned its head, it saw Li Pan give it a subtle nod, his right hand giving a thumbs-up in a place where Keqing and Ningguang couldn't see.

Landorus was momentarily stunned, then a warm feeling surged in its heart, and its smile grew even wider.

It seemed its trainer wasn't a fool.

"Lady Ningguang, would you like to draw a Pokémon?"

While Xiangling was busy picking Jueyun Chilis, Li Pan turned to Ningguang and asked.

"Of course, let's start now. I can't wait to see what kind of Pokémon my partner will be," Ningguang replied with a charming smile.

Taking the Pokédex, Ningguang didn't hesitate this time and pressed the button.

On the screen, silhouettes flashed by, faster and faster, until they finally stopped.

"Boss Li, how about this little one?"

Ningguang handed the Pokédex to Li Pan.

Looking at the small green dinosaur on the screen, Li Pan raised an eyebrow and gave Ningguang a surprised look.

"What's wrong, Boss Li? Is the Pokémon Ningguang drew stronger than my Shinx?"

Keqing chimed in, teasing. When it came to harmless jabs, she didn't mind making things a little awkward for Ningguang.

In fact, due to their personalities and ideologies, the relationship between these two Qixing members wasn't great. No, it wasn't just "not great"—it was downright hostile.

If it weren't for the need to show Liyue's respect for Li Pan, Keqing wouldn't have even wanted to come with Ningguang. She would've just let Ningguang come with the Bai sisters. But unfortunately, their status was still a bit lacking.

Hearing Keqing's words, Li Pan paused for a moment, then gave her a strange look.

That look was all too familiar to Keqing. It was pity, wasn't it? It was definitely pity!

Before Keqing could ask, Li Pan turned to Ningguang with a smile and said, "Lady Ningguang, your luck is as remarkable as your beauty. You've hit the jackpot on your very first try."

Ningguang's eyes lit up, and she gave Keqing a meaningful smile. "Boss Li, please, tell me more."

Li Pan carefully chose his words.

"Lady Ningguang, you should already know that Pokémon have different limits based on their species. The beings at the pinnacle of Pokémon are what I call Legendary Pokémon. They possess incredible divine authorities, making them seem like creatures from another world compared to ordinary Pokémon."

Ningguang nodded in understanding, and Li Pan continued.

"Between Legendary Pokémon and ordinary Pokémon, there's a transitional layer. Pokémon in this layer have potential comparable to Legendary Pokémon but lack their divine authorities. I call these Pokémon—Pseudo-Legendaries!"

Li Pan's voice was calm and measured, but both Ningguang and Keqing were stunned, their eyes wide with shock. They were completely taken aback by Li Pan's words.

At this moment, they wanted to pry open Li Pan's brain to see if he even realized what he was saying. These were Pokémon with potential rivaling Archons!

If Li Pan wasn't lying, this would undoubtedly send all of Teyvat into a frenzy.

After all, even a thousand years later, the remnants of the Archon War still gave people a glimpse of the madness and terror of that great conflict.

The Fatui Harbingers, who had merely received some blessings from the Tsaritsa, had gained power far beyond that of ordinary humans.

And now, Li Pan was saying that the Pokémon he sold had potential rivaling Archons!

Ningguang instinctively held her forehead. Even she felt a wave of dizziness at this revelation.

If this were true, it would mean that Liyue would have an Archon on its side—an additional Archon besides the Geo Archon, Morax!

"What's this little one called?"

Ningguang asked, barely containing her excitement.

"Larvitar. Its final evolution is Tyranitar, known as the Desert Tyrant."

That's right. Ningguang had drawn Larvitar, one of the two unique Pseudo-Legendaries among the nine.

Although its final evolution, Tyranitar, has a quadruple weakness to Fighting-type moves, its well-balanced stats more than make up for it.

In fact, during a sandstorm, Rock-type Pokémon's Special Defense gets an additional boost. And the sandstorm is something that naturally accompanies Tyranitar. A fully grown Tyranitar could easily be called a fortress of war.

"Can I meet the little one?"

Ningguang tried her best to keep her breathing steady.

"Of course, please wait a moment."

Li Pan left and soon returned, leading a small green dinosaur.

The little one hid behind Li Pan's leg, cautiously peeking out to look around. It seemed well-behaved, but the occasional glint of mischief in its eyes told Ningguang that this little one wasn't as harmless as it appeared.

"Lady Ningguang, this is Larvitar."

Li Pan crouched down and gently pushed Larvitar toward Ningguang.

The little one seemed a bit shy, covering its face with one short arm while waving at Ningguang with the other.

The moment she saw the little one, Ningguang's heart melted.
