Chapter 2: The World Is Falling
Damn, I don't even understand how this happened. Can't I repeat from the beginning? Reincarnated into a child...
I read the first chapter to write about the core, where it functions as the source of power in this world. It is divided into several gradual stages, each signifying a stronger level of usage.
The First Stage:
White Mana Core: It only works for minor use. The user still cannot utilize any elemental magic, even the lowest level. The core merely signifies potential.
Silver Mana Core: In the early stages of development, magic energy and mana usage are still unstable. The user may lose control if they push too hard. At this stage, simple magic can be used, though with significant limitations.
Bronze Mana Core: This marks the beginning of proper development. Mana becomes more stable than in the Silver stage. The user can perform basic spells with slightly greater efficiency.
Gold Mana Core: A more mature mana core with sufficient reserves for emergencies. The user can now control elements and use intermediate magic with greater power.
High Gold Mana Core: An advanced stage of Gold, where the user exhibits improved efficiency and adept control over elements. Magic can be cast with substantial force.
Advanced Gold Mana Core: The peak of Gold, granting mastery over elemental magic. The user can wield high-level magic and even begin using advanced elements, though still inefficiently.
Platinum Mana Core: One of the highest levels, boasting tremendous strength and purity. The user has vast mana reserves, allowing for advanced magic usage without fatigue. Mastery over advanced elements becomes more efficient.
Diamond Mana Core: A highly refined core, nearing the peak of development. It offers extraordinary strength and clarity, enabling the user to cast high-level magic with precision and force.
Supreme Mana Core: One of the highest levels of mana development. At this stage, the core is immensely pure and powerful. Users can utilize flight techniques with mana, although efficiency is still lacking. Exceptional endurance and strength characterize this stage, known as the realm of the Gladiuses.
Plasma Mana Core: One of the ultimate stages, with power twice that of the highest core below it. Users possess extreme endurance, heightened perception, and incredible physical prowess. No one has yet reached this level, as it is said to be reserved for gods.
Aether Mana Core: The pinnacle of all mana cores, equivalent to the power of the gods. No mortal has ever attained this stage, making it the legendary 'King's Core.' Users at this stage can wield king-level magic, divine spells, and absolute light with unmatched strength and durability.
Now, I find myself at the Platinum stage—an incredible level, almost at the peak of extraordinary power. I never thought I could accept this world so easily, but then again, I am Wein—no, I am not weak like some protagonists in the novels I have read.
This power means I don't have to struggle as much to grow stronger. I just need to be myself.
The world itself is structured with different forms of magic. They are divided into two main categories: Witchcraft and Arcanism. Witches focus on magic as a pure force, excelling in long-range spellcasting, while Arcanists use mana for dexterity and close combat.
After reading about this division, I became curious—am I a mage or an arcanist? Judging by my physique…
I turn another page and continue learning, engrossed in the old book illuminated by the flickering light of an elegant candle. Hours pass as I move from one book to another. It never grows dull, perhaps because I was already used to reading extensively in my previous world.
But countless questions still flood my mind. How do I unlock the full potential of this magic? What is my elemental affinity?
I will find out soon. For now, I focus on reading.
This time, I study the beloved continent—Britonia—comprising four major regions: Sperum, CyFil, Dwarvest, and Vernisius.
Time flows, and the sky begins to shift. Night fades into the earliest hours of dawn. The black abyss transitions into a deep, dark blue, sprinkled with countless stars, still gleaming in the retreating darkness.
A soft breeze rustles through the curtains, allowing me to glimpse an extraordinary view beyond the window. My heart stirs. This world is beautiful—a fantasy world I had only ever dreamed of in my past life.
I rise from my seat, stretching my body, which feels surprisingly light, before exhaling deeply. "So this is what it feels like to be young again..." I mutter to myself.
Stepping closer to the window, I take in the magnificent sight outside. The heavens above stretch infinitely, adorned with an endless ocean of stars, each one like a gem embedded in the night's tapestry.
The stars shimmer like scattered diamonds, each one a silent witness to the history of this world. Some burn brilliantly, while others twinkle faintly, their light whispering across the vast expanse of time and space. The constellations form patterns unknown to me, unfamiliar yet mesmerizing. Unlike my old world, where pollution choked the sky and dimmed the celestial glow, here, the night breathes freely, revealing a spectacle only fantasy worlds could offer.
The sight fills me with awe. I let out a breath, watching the air crystallize in the cool temperature. My eyes move to the horizon, where the first hints of sunlight begin their gentle ascent, yet the stars remain, defying the coming day for a little longer.
I shift my gaze downward. To my right, a house. To my left, another. But beyond them? A massive structure looms in the distance, its silhouette catching my eye. It is grand—far larger than the surrounding buildings.
Leaning forward, I try to make out the details. "A palace? No… it doesn't quite have that regal aura. It looks more like… an academy?"
Several smaller buildings cluster around it, reinforcing my guess. The thought of a magic academy excites me—if this is a fantasy world, then surely an institution like that exists.
A chuckle escapes my lips. "Heh… I guess I'll find out soon enough."
Yet, there is something else that lingers in my mind. I have been given a second chance in this world. But am I truly myself here, or am I still clinging to my past? The way I think, the way I analyze everything—I still feel like the old me.
I inhale deeply, letting the crisp air fill my lungs, then exhale slowly.
"Focus, Wein. This is your life now."
And so, with a firm nod, I step away from the window, ready to embrace the mysteries of this world.
