Game Reincarnation: Reborn as the Strongest Villain

Chapter 10: 10 Adventure Guild.

As time passed, Jin meticulously stick to his practice almost every day for nine whole years. From now on, he will enter the next stage. In front of the gate mansion, Jin, who grew up into a handsome kid at 165 cm in height, smiled wryly as he faced his parents.

"Father, Mother, I will be going?".

"Yeah, go ahead and be careful".

"...". Marina bit her lips, fidgeting while reluctant to see her son leave the house.

Jin, who didn't get a response from her mother, stepped forward and stood in front of her. He parted his lips, proud of himself as he grew to be the same eye level as his mother.

"Mother, I will be going".

"Uh, yeah. Um, Let me… No, be careful out there, Jin!".

"Yes, thank you".

He took a step backwards and walked away, leaving his parents, who saw his now wide back getting smaller before vanishing from their sight.

After getting far away from the mansion, Jin starts to inspect himself. He wears a grey T-shirt with metal plates covering his chest area. To top it off, he wears a black leather jacket made from premium monster Leather, a gift from his father.

It came with a set of long black pants and shoes, all of them made from the same leather monster, of which he wasn't aware of what kind of species it was. He also had a Black Katana in his left hand and a silver bracelet, a gift from his mother.

"Status!".

After training for nine years, Jin's stats showed a slight improvement. However, he still doesn't know what the limit for the parameter or the mastery skill that he possesses is.

What he learned from the years he observed the status parameters. It started from E- then it will gradually improve as it turns to E, next is E+ and so on. As for mastery skills, they range from low, beginner, apprentice, intermediate, and advanced.

There is also Divine, but Jin is still unsure where to put it. So, he assumed that it was way above Advance. Jin also gained a fruit of his labour in the form of a new Skill: Physical Enhancement. Aside from those, he has never seen any significant change within his status panel.

Jin observed his scenery, which was filled with buildings built using European architecture. He is currently in a North district, which is also called a wealth district.

The place is usually mostly occupied by his father's mansion, which stretches wide. Still, it is also inhabited by a merchant or even a guest who visits the town, for there are many lodgings that will surely fit the noble taste.

Walking on the side road while basking in the glow of the warm sun, Jin hummed an Anime song from his old world. The chilly breeze of late fall brought his attention to his front, which was beginning to be filled with crowds.

"Woah, it is pretty packed".

Arriving in the central town, Jin could see a buzz of activity, with people and a carriage passing by. The warm atmosphere that filled the town made him a bit happy about his father's successful management.

Jin inserted himself into the crowd while carefully dodging some that almost bumped him. After a few seconds of searching, he finally arrived in front of a tall white building. The door was somehow open, and many people wore battle outfits, loitering in and out.

"This is the place". He lifted his gaze and saw a huge wooden board planted on top of the wide door that said 'Adventure Guild'.

Without a shred of hesitation, Jin stepped inside and was soon welcomed by the old scent of aged wood and the smell of delicious meat wafting in the atmosphere. The interior itself was wide, with a row of multiple boards lining up on his left side and some kind of small restaurant on his right.

'Where is it? Ah!?'. Jin walked further inside toward a receptionist desk that acts as a bridge between an Adventurer and the guild employee.

"Good morning, welcome to Adventure Guild. How can I help you?". A beautiful woman in her mid-twenties greeted Jin with her business-like smile. Her curvy body and mature flowery scent slightly enchanted him for a second before he shook his head.

"Yes, good morning. I plan to register as an Adventurer".

"Understood, please wait for a moment." The woman slid her hand below the desk, took a piece of paper and a pen, and presented them before Jin.

"Um, I am sorry, but can you write or read? If you can't, I will do it for you".

"No problem, I can do it. Thanks for your consideration".

The guild receptionist smiles earnestly, seeing a well-mannered boy registering on her desk. She observed the boy scribbling the pen on the registration paper.

"Excuse me, miss?".

"Yes?".

"Should I fill in all the blanks here?".

She saw the boy who was a bit reluctant to fill in his address and other personal information except his name, age and job. She began to switch her mind to act professionally and answer.

"If you have some sort of circumstance, it is fine to leave some of your personal information blank".

"Thank you. I finished it".

"Okay, let me confirm it for a second".

Jin handed the registration paper and watched the receptionist swiftly move her hand and begin to scribble something on another piece of paper.

To become an Adventurer, one must pass the age of thirteen. Becoming an adventurer comes with its ups and downs, for there is harsh competition in picking out a suitable job with one's own abilities.

While his thoughts were wandering somewhere else, Jin saw the receptionist woman go to the back before returning not long after. In her hand, she held a silver tray containing a card and a necklace with a small copper dog tag.

"Here is your Adventure card. This could also act as your ID when you are questioned by the guard at the gate. This necklace will show your Rank as an Adventurer. You will start from the lowest Copper rank. As for the registration fee, it was one silver coin! Be careful to not lose the card or your necklace, because you will be fine one gold coin if you do that!"

Jin slid his hand inside his chest pocket before taking out a silver coin inside the item his mother had given him. 'I'm glad Mother warned me beforehand about the storage item'.

As the name implies, it was a wonderful item that could hold numerous objects or items in a different space. Jin received the bracelet when he reached his fourteenth birthday. He placed a silver coin on the desk and let the receptionist do the rest.

"I certainly received it. Would you like to hear about the Adventure Guild rule?".

The receptionist slid her light brown hair behind her ear to reveal her ear and smooth neck. Jin gulped his saliva and opened his mouth to distract his worldly desire.

"Please, go ahead!".

"Understood!".

From then on, Jin pried open his ear and listened carefully to the rules that the Adventure Guild had established. The content itself was not too overwhelming to memorize, and in one explanation, Jin already remembered all of them. However, one matter intrigued him regarding the rule.

"Excuse me, Miss, May I?".

"Yes, go ahead".

"Um, you said earlier that the Adventure rank can be upgraded within the registration if the registered person could prove his abilities".

"Yes!? Are you perhaps?".

"Can I upgrade my rank?".

A subtle pause happened between the two as the receptionist stared at the boy in front of her. At the end of the day, she backed down and informed Jin about the procedure.

"Understood, I will inform the higher-ups and for you, Adventure Jin. You can go toward that back door and go straight toward the Arena we have and wait there!".

"Okay, thank you for listening to my wish".

"No, no, this is my job!".

The two separated, and Jin walked to the left side of the receptionist's desk and soon stood before the twin door that led him toward the Arena. Jin twisted the door handle, and it creaked open, showing a wide, straight path.

He gulped his saliva as he moved his feet toward the end of the tunnel, which was covered by a veil of light. As he stepped outside, Jin was welcomed by a vast area in the shape of a bowl. He was surrounded by a high balcony from which a spectator could witness the Arena below.

"Hmm, not bad!".

Before starting the test, Jin raised the Katana in his left hand and pulled the blade out. The shimmering glare from the silver blade reflected on his face, which was filled with determination to see the test through to the end.

Jin inhaled deeply as he entered his serene state. From behind, he could hear the sound of multiple footsteps approaching his place.

"Oh, so you are the boy who wants to jump your rank the same moment you register in this Guild?".
