From Nine Rank Psychic to a Totem of a Small Tribe

Elan fires another arrow, this time it is not a magic arrow but an Ice arrow. After it destroys a golden energy arc from the Golden Sparrow, the frozen arrow is destroyed together with the second golden arc sent by the sparrow.

Elan thought of retreating after the Golden Sparrow came to help the Savage King Tribe, a few minutes ago.

The Golden Sparrow a spirit beast and a tribe some distance from the Savage King tribe toward the north but near the Snake Tribe is called the Golden Sparrow Tribe.

His mind cannot stop associating the Golden Sparrow with the Golden Sparrow Tribe. If true, then the tribe members of the Golden Sparrow Tribe will not be far from reaching here.

Even with the Golden Sparrow Tribe helping the Savage King Tribe, they may be able to win the battle but it will pyrrhic victory.

He came here to form a settlement, which needed sufficient strength and after a pyrrhic victory. He does not think any tribe members will remain alive.

And there are many more hostie three-eyed race tribes in this region. Without sufficient, they will never allow him to form a settlement.

They did not need to destroy all the tribes in the region, destroying the tribes would do.

The place of their camp is some distance to the west of the southern mountain range of the WinterMoon mountain Region, Which is formed by multiple mountain ranges.

The nearest tribe to their camp is the Snake Tribe to their east.

Excluding the Snake Tribe, there were six other tribes before but they and the snake tribe already destroyed two.

Snake Tribe settlement is in between the southern WinterMoon mountain range and the mountain range above it.

The place is a huge plain with some plateaus sprinkled. By the Southern Mountain Range and in between them were the two tribes Wild Cat and Spring Rain which they had already destroyed.

The Savage King Tribe is north of the Snake Tribe and their camp is by a river on its west side which also stands between their camp and the Snake Tribe.

The Golden Sparrow Tribe is situated at the nearest plateau of the Snake Tribe.

The other tribe Black Jackal Tribe and Snow Monkey tribe is toward the far east in the plain.

There are other tribes in this region but they are on the other side of the southmost WinterMoon mountain range.

So, by destroying the Six tribes first and taking control of the snake tribe by taming their totem. 

He can create a settlement and they can control the entire plain by blocking three passages to the other side of the Southmost Mountain Range.

But the arrival of the Golden Sparrow has derailed his plan. He considered that tribes in the plain may join forces but he did not prepare a plan.

He feels the retreat may be the right choice in this situation but he is unable to make up his mind.

He is unable to make up his mind thinking," If the Sparrow is not the totem of the Golden Sparrow Tribe."

"Even If it is, if we will able to destroy the Savage King Tribe before the tribe members of the Golden Sparrow tribe reach here."

He shot another Ice arrow toward the Golden Sparrow like always it was blocked by the golden energy arc shot from the Golden Sparrow. 

He glances at the battle inside the Savage King Tribe, He spots James and Reed they are still without anyone to stop them but from their fighting style, he can see they become careful.

He can understand without the fighting energy surrounding them, a stray weapon attack can injure them in such a narrow lane.

He then sees some distance from him, the Snake has warped around the body of the lizard and it's tightening its grip.

Which uplifted his mood, after the snake killed the totem, it would wreak havoc upon the Savage King Tribe. 

Then their goal will be completed, and he has to keep in check the Golden Sparrow from helping the Savage King Lizard.

Thinking of this, Elan starts shooting magic arrows one after another towards the Golden Sparrow, Sometimes Basic Magic Arrow, Other times Fire Arrow and Ice Arrow.

But the roar of the Savage King Lizard and the energy wave swept by him, Lead him turn his head toward the fight of the two totems.

Now, a red aura is surrounding the Lizard and slowly it is loosening the Snake's grip upon him.

" It must be the lizard's Innate ability but it does not matter."

" The Innate ability looks like raises his strength but the lizard will not be able to sustain it for long."

"After it will fall into weakness."

Elan thought.

But he does not how long the lizard's innate ability will last. And as time passes, he feels the situation will turn unfavorable for them.

And like a crow's mouth, the situation turns worse for them. 

He hears a howl, and looking at the source of the howl, he finds a black Jackal staring at them and then the Jackal lets out another howl.

And with a Jump, it crosses the river and charges towards him. 

Seeing this, He puts down his bow takes out his sword from its sheath swings the sword, and collides with the paws of the jackal.

His strength is slightly greater than the jackal, as he is at the limit of Fifth rank magic hunter profession which is not known for its strength.

But the Jackal is an intermediate realm spirit beast which according to the professional system. The Jackal would be a late, or peak fourth-rank professional.

After Jackal arrives here, made him concludes that they will not be able to destroy the Savage King Tribe today.

He murmurs under his breath," Maybe even later." With two totems from two other tribes coming to help he concludes that the four tribes join in an alliance against them.

But he cannot think, how they go about their goal. He does not remember letting anyone from the Wild Cat and Spring Fairy Tribe escape.

He remembers that the chief of the Spring Fairy Tribe escaped with some ordinary woman and children but then he remembers he has not seen Bale the Chief of the Snake Tribe since the day they destroyed the Spring Fairy Tribe.

Bale did not come to their camp when they held a meeting and decided to attack on Savage King Tribe.

And today battle, he still did not see him. 

He did not think anything about this, he does not how a tribe of three-eyed races works.

He sees the Jackal again coming toward him, and the Golden Sparrow also starts to fly lower.

He shouts at the top of his lungs," Withdraw." to his man. And charges at the Jackal and fights the Jackal while moving. 

He does want to stand at a place for more than a couple of seconds otherwise the Golden Sparrow will get a chance to attack him.

He cannot center all his attention on fighting the Jackal, he always has to pay attention to the Golden Sparrow.

So, that it cannot land an attack on him.

But it does not matter his goal is not to injure the Jackal or kill. His goal is to block the jackal and the golden sparrow, till his army withdraws into the forest.

He fights them for like fifteen minutes, as his troop and the snake tribe members retreat to the forest without the two fourth-rank knights bringing up the rear.

He thinks," Magic Slash." his sword turns purple and an energy slash shoots toward the Jackal throwing it back.

He then turns around and runs, hearing the yelp of pain from the Jackal and a cry from the golden sparrow.

And from his side eyes, he sees the snake also withdraw, slithering inside the forest before him.

He picks up his bow as he dashes inside the forest. He glanced back to see the three totems did not chase after him.

After running a short distance, he finds his troop waiting for him.

He sees James and Reed coming to meet him, He speaks to James," James, Did you see the Chief of the Snake Tribe, Bale for the past week."

James thoughtfully answers," No. Why did you ask about him?"

He replies," I think Bale is dead and the people of Spring Fairy Tribe have escaped and informed the other tribes in this region."

Reed who was listening to the conversation," How the Savage King Tribe were able to inform the other two tribes of our attack."

Elan thoughtfully," Sparrows live in groups, The Golden Sparrow Tribe may raise ordinary Sparrow. With their totem, it is easy to control a group of sparrows." 

Elan notices they are bleeding from their arms and legs and many of his soldiers are also injured. He speaks," Let's return to the camp, then discuss a plan."

"You two take the lead and I will bring the rear."

The two nods and walks toward the front of the army.

The army starts moving toward his camp Before Elan starts walking behind them, He glances around him because he feels someone is watching them.

And he is proven right, He sees a Huge Sandy Color Wolf above a tree's branch staring at him.

He without removing his eyes from the wolf starts walking behind his army. After some time, he is unable to see the wolf.

He turns his head ahead and his mind thinks," That the Wolf's eyes do not look like a magic beast but of humans." It is not the shape of the wolf's eyes but the wisdom behind the eyes.

Staring at the Wolf does not feel like he is staring at a magic beast but at a being with similar wisdom and intelligence as a Human.

He can foresee, that this will be not the last time he will see the wolf.
