Chapter 63: Chapter 61: Give Me A Job.
Jack and Camellia were left baffled after making Petunia a witch from a normal Muggle who couldn't use magic no matter how much she tried.
Even though Jack and Camellia couldn't comprehend the obscurity of the situation they had witnessed, their lack of knowledge about the wizarding world kept them from fully grasping the magnitude of what had just happened.
If a wizard were to witness someone possessing the ability to turn a normal human into a wizard, it would throw the entire wizarding world into an uproar.
"____"
"Since Petunia is two years older than Lily, she will be the one to first receive the Hogwarts letter when she turns 11, likely around September or something..."
After the family broke away from their hug, sharing love and joy among themselves, Leo waited patiently for them to calm their emotions.
He then informed them about Hogwarts and advised them to keep the transformation of Petunia into a witch, as well as their newfound knowledge of the wizarding world, a secret.
This was to avoid any trouble coming their way until Petunia received her admission letter from Hogwarts and a professor from the school arrived to guide them.
After giving his advice, Leo bid farewell to the Evans family and left Cokeworth Park.
After a week...
While sitting at the counter, Leo was eating the Chocolate Chili along with Severus, who had wanted to taste it after seeing a man buy one for his son.
While licking the ice cream cone, Leo thought about the events that had occurred in the past week.
Flashback...
Since coming to this world, Leo had been regularly visiting Cauldron & Charm Apothecary to ensure that the earlier stunt pulled by those dark wizards was a one-time event and not a targeted attack.
But he was foolish to think so.
Three days later, another group of dark wizards, who thought they would teach Leo a lesson, had the misfortune of encountering Hagoromo Kitsune when Leo wasn't present.
Their luck couldn't have been worse.
She burned them alive, reducing them to ashes.
Two days after this incident, while Kejoro was in charge of the shop, a group of goblins arrived with a request to meet Leo personally.
Flashback ends...
Chime~
While Leo was deep in thought, he was snapped out of his stupor by the chiming sound of the doorbell, indicating a customer had arrived.
After a week of the store's opening, the shopping frenzy had calmed down.
However, the buzz about the shop and Leo had only intensified, thanks to the earlier incidents involving the dark wizards.
Even the shop owners in Diagon Alley had started treating him more respectfully.
"Lord Morningstar, I received fresh dragon meat delivered just this morning, so I thought I'd bring you some."
The person who entered was a fat man with a big moustache, wearing a cap and a butcher's apron.
He stepped in with a wide smile on his face, carrying a tray filled with dragon meat and two bottles of dragon milk.
"Mr. Heinston, how can I possibly accept this?"
Seeing this, Leo stood from his place and walked to the front, helping Heinston place the tray on a nearby desk.
Heinston's gesture was generous—offering dragon meat freshly arrived from the dragon ranch, along with two bottles of dragon milk, which was even more valuable than the meat.
He wasn't alone in his generosity.
Many shop owners had been showing their support by gifting Leo items ever since the incidents with the dark wizards.
As a result, Leo's reputation, and that of Cauldron & Charm Apothecary, had risen significantly.
It had reached a point where a few Aurors were always present in the vicinity of the shop.
Who knew what their true purpose was?
After sending off Mr. Heinston from the shop, Leo stored the dragon meat and two bottles of dragon milk in his system storage.
Chime~
Once again, with the sound of the chime, a customer entered the shop.
A short man entered the shop, accompanied by a family whom Leo presumed to be a Muggle family, likely visiting for the first time.
The short man was none other than Filius Flitwick, the current Charms professor at Hogwarts and a former duelling world champion, who had won the title twice consecutively.
Flitwick was someone who had built his reputation from scratch.
Despite his legacy as a half-goblin, which subjected him to numerous hardships in wizarding society—where wizards often looked down on those without pureblood heritage—he had proven himself as an exceptional wizard.
"Welcome to Cauldron & Charm Apothecary."
Seeing them, Leo greeted the professor and the Muggle family with a warm smile.
Oh~
"You must be Lord Morningstar! It's a pleasure to meet you. I've always wanted to visit after hearing about you from Minerva. Unfortunately, I couldn't manage it during my previous visits."
When the half-goblin professor saw that Leo himself was welcoming them, rather than Eileen, his eyes twinkled with excitement.
He hurried towards Leo and spoke with a tone of high respect and curiosity.
Haha~
"Professor Filius, it's my honour to meet you! You are an inspiration to many who wish to achieve their dreams, no matter how far-fetched they may seem."
With a light laugh, Leo spoke warmly.
He then led the professor and the family toward the rows where Eileen was busy arranging new potion ingredients.
He asked Eileen to assist the Muggle family in purchasing the items listed in their Hogwarts admission letter.
While Leo continued chatting with the professor, who seemed to hold him in high regard and wanted to discuss more with him...
Chime~
The door of Cauldron & Charm Apothecary opened, and Bellatrix Black entered, followed by Narcissa Black and Andromeda Tonks.
Judging by the expressions on the sisters' faces, they didn't seem to be in a good mood.
After entering the shop, Bellatrix scanned the room and quickly spotted Leo standing on one side. Without hesitation, she walked straight toward him.
"Give me a job."
When she reached him, she fixed Leo with a serious expression and asked, her tone firm and resolute.
"____"
"____"
Leo was left momentarily speechless, looking at her in confusion.
"Sister, wait..."
Narcissa followed behind Bellatrix, worry etched on her face.
Sigh~
"Bella, we can discuss this..."
With a defeated sigh, Andromeda tried to calm Bellatrix, who was visibly upset for some reason.
Whoa~
"Miss Black, what happened?"
Confronted so suddenly by Bellatrix, who seemed to be in a foul mood and was now asking him to hire her, Leo raised an eyebrow and asked curiously.
Hmph~
"It's all because of you..."
Hearing Leo's clueless response, Bellatrix gritted her teeth in frustration.
"Miss Bella, long time no see. How's life after graduation?"
Being completely ignored by his former student, Filius Flitwick, with a gentle and kind smile, finally spoke up, addressing Bellatrix.
"Who?"
Hearing the familiar voice, Bellatrix instinctively turned around and spotted Flitwick, who was smiling kindly at her.
"____"
"Professor?... I'm fine, Professor."
Seeing it was her Charms professor, Bellatrix—caught off guard—hadn't expected to encounter him here.
Slightly embarrassed, she greeted him.
"Lord Morningstar, I will take my leave."
After greeting Bellatrix and noticing that she seemed intent on discussing something private with Leo, followed by her younger sisters, the short Charms professor left them alone, a knowing glint in his eyes.
Sigh~
"It's like this..."
Seeing that Bellatrix was still visibly upset, Andromeda, with a defeated sigh, began to explain to Leo what had happened.
Flashback...
After Bellatrix returned to Grimmauld Place following the battle at Cauldron & Charm Apothecary—where she had been visiting Eileen late that evening—she was summoned by the house elf, Kreacher.
Kreacher informed her that Lord Black, her uncle Orion Black, wished to see her.
Though confused, Bellatrix went downstairs to meet him.
When she arrived, she was greeted by a heavy atmosphere.
Her uncle sat on the couch, a deep frown etched on his face, while the remaining family members—including her aunt and parents—stood around him.
"____"
Seeing the tense air in the room, Bellatrix looked at everyone in confusion.
"Bellatrix, were you involved in the murder of Lord Lestrange and his sons?"
Orion, who had been silent until now, finally spoke, his tone heavy and his eyes narrowed.
The room fell silent as everyone turned to Bellatrix, shock etched on their faces.
'Didn't Bellatrix say she was going to meet Eileen at Cauldron & Charm Apothecary? What kind of mess has she gotten herself into this time?'
Even Andromeda and Narcissa were left stunned, the same thought running through their minds.
"____"
Hearing Orion's question and feeling the weight of everyone's gazes on her, Bellatrix remained silent for a few seconds before speaking.
"Uncle, all three of them were dark wizards who attacked the shop I visited. I have a friend who works there, so I had no choice but to defend myself. However, I wasn't even involved in the full battle—it was finished by Leo Morningstar, the shop's owner."
After a brief silence, Bellatrix began explaining what had happened and how she became involved.
Her tone was calm, though the tension in the room was palpable.
"____"
After hearing Bellatrix's full explanation, Orion was silent for several seconds, scrutinizing her as if to gauge whether she was hiding something.
"No matter what, you were involved in the death of a reputable pure-blood family. As punishment, you and your sisters are grounded from leaving the house for a week."
Though there was nothing inherently wrong with Bellatrix's explanation, Orion shook his head, his tone final, and punished for her involvement in the deaths of the Lestrange family.
Flashback ends...
Hahaha~
Hearing Bellatrix's explanation and seeing her pouting, Leo couldn't help but laugh loudly.
"____"
Bellatrix's face fell, her irritation visibly rising as her eyes narrowed at Leo.
Cough~ Cough~
"Alright, alright... but why do you want me to hire you?"
Leo stopped laughing with a fake cough, looking at her in confusion.
"Because my uncle stopped giving us our allowance!"
Bellatrix snapped, her voice laced with frustration.
"When I asked him about it, he dared to laugh and say, 'Go and try to earn some, so you understand the importance of family.'"
She gritted her teeth, her anger simmering as she recounted Orion's mocking response.
"You could speak with Eileen,"
Leo said nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders.
"She's the one responsible for handling tasks like hiring."
He gestured toward the brewing room, where Eileen was busy at work.
Chime~
Their conversation was interrupted by the familiar sound of the shop's doorbell, signalling the arrival of another customer.
This time, a figure entered wearing a pristine white robe, their face obscured by a hood.
The mysterious customer hurried inside and ducked behind one of the racks, clearly trying to avoid being seen.
Moments later, the sound of hurried footsteps approached.
A group of wizards, all wearing identical robes and wizarding hats, marched past the shop in a rush, seemingly searching for someone.
Leo, Bellatrix, and her sisters exchanged curious glances, their attention now drawn to the unusual scene unfolding in the shop.
