Florida Man in Magus World: Unleashing Liberty and Freedom

The north border of the Solaris Commonwealth Empire, which had fallen to the hands of Demon God Mao Miaomiao, became a gathering spot for various armies around the world.

Solaris Empire had already deployed their best soldiers, aura knights, and magus in preparation for laying siege to the demon's flying island. The neighboring countries also deployed their reinforcements as they also received mysterious missions from the global system. While tension brewed, the 30-day quest was initiated, and all system users received their quests. They relayed the quest content to their allies, who reacted accordingly.

Because the flying island was equipped with a protective barrier, no one could enter or infiltrate the place. But as soon as the quest was active, the 40 individuals according to the quest could infiltrate the premise. One of the chosen ones tested the water, flying through the barrier dome. He managed to get inside.

As soon as one of them got through, the others followed suit. However, as they also competed in the same quest, they infiltrated the island separately instead of working together.

As soon as they got inside, they found an army of a million monsters and mutated humans, forming square arrays and facing outside the island. At a glance, they looked like the Terracotta Army. However, they were alive, and their auras and mana exuded around them.

Most of the soldiers were 6th-circle mages or 6-star aura knights. 30% of them were 7th tier. A few at the front of their armies were either 8th or 9th tier, which formed a formidable force.

Facing such forces, everybody hid their aura and mana, sneaking into the territory.

However, they had already been detected the moment they passed through the dome barrier. 100,000 mages and knights of the monster ranks took flight and charged toward the crowd of chosen ones.

One of the chosen ones, the barbarian from the Crimson Desert, decided to confront the army directly. He unleashed the power of a 9-star aura knight and transformed into a 10-meter giant.

He raised his fist and threw a punch at the incoming small fries, unleashing a shockwave at the incoming 100,000 monsters and mutated humans.

The group dispersed. Half of them were critically injured after receiving the hit.

The barbarian sneered.

"Not so tough, huh? I'm changing my mind! I'll kill every single one of you and kill the demon god myself—"

As he was about to finish his sentences, a black katana shot out from the castle and pierced through the giant's head, shattering it like a watermelon.

The barbarian collapsed and remained in his giant form. A horde of 10,000 hungry monsters rushed over and feasted on the body.

The katana "Killer Queen" floated in the sky for a moment. She shapeshifted into a black-haired maiden in a black long kimono. Her pale white skin contrasted with her black clothes and hair, and her pitch black iris absorbed all reflection from the sunlight, appearing darker than the abyss.

The queen sneered at the invaders. She crossed her arms and ordered the soldiers surrounding the island.

"Intruders have arrived. KILL EVERYBODY! LEAVE NO PRISONER!"

Roars of countless demons, monsters, and mutated humans erupted. The million soldiers charged out and chased after the infiltrators.

Felix and Diana arrived hours after everybody got inside. Levitating from afar, he could only see a cloudy dome surrounding the demon king's island. He frowned and put on a thermal goggle.

In the dome, heat signatures of over a million entities formed arrays of square formations as if they were prepared to start a war. However, surrounding them, a hundred squads patrolled around the island. Some walked around on land while many floated in a complicated pattern, overlapping with other squads.

Looking further, he noticed a chaotic battlefield, where individuals were either hiding or fleeing from berserking demons in the sky. He then started counting.

"What was the number of my competitors again? 40? 41?"

Jessica rechecked her database and delivered shocking news.

<Including you and Diana, excluding the demon god, it is… or was 42. Only 20 are left, including you and Diana.>

"…Wow. They die fast. Sucks to be them."

<You should be prepared. I believe the demon god is cheating. He's supposed to stay out of this competition and let the chosen ones win, but half is already dead.>

Felix pondered if he and Diana should take part in this quest. He looked at Diana for a moment and asked Jessica.

"What if we purposely fail the quest. Will there be a punishment?"

<The quest has not clarified the consequences of failing the quest. But if this quest is the same as other local scenario quests in the other world, the demon god might receive a buff or a bonus for thwarting all chosen ones, which will come to haunt you and Diana in the future.
