FLASH MARRIAGE; CHARMED BY THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE CEO

Chapter 252: Retribution Call 2

As the saying goes, revenge is a dish best-served cold.

Watching Tina freeze on that stage with her atrocities exposed for the entire world to see had to be the best highlight of the night for Amelia.

Amelia couldn't have thought of a better punishment worthy of a woman who almost ruined everything for her.

It felt gratifying to watch the same people who were previously cheering for Tina, hurl all manner of insults at her.

Seeing all Tina's friends, who escorted her to the stage, especially Joanna, cower in shame was simply rewarding.

Amelia wasn't bothered at all when she heard about the aftermath of the video scandal from her friends.

She couldn't care less if Tina's entire family fell unconscious.

After all, one good deed deserves another and vice versa.

Amelia simply returned to taking care of her parents while her husband went about his affairs, delivering his own brand of justice to all who dared to mess with his family.

With Tina currently where he wanted her, Blaze discharged an army of his wet workers to deliver an unforgettable message to all of Tina's allies starting with her personal assistance.

...

After narrowly escaping being mobbed by angry fans who recognized him as Tina's personal assistant, Remy decided it was best to leave the country for his safety, pending when the dust settled.

First, he sent Tina a message, terminating his contract with her.

Next, he forwarded a letter of resignation to the movie studio he worked for, knowing his service would no longer be needed.

He booked a train ride to the next City, online, from where he was planning to quietly leave the country.

By the following day, Remy picked up a few of his important belongings and left for the train station in disguise.

After successfully purchasing a first-class coach ticket and boarding the train, Remy finally relaxed, grateful to be leaving the city without a scratch.

Twenty minutes into his journey, Remy was peacefully napping in his private sleeping accommodations when a knock on the door interrupted him.

"Who is it?" Remy's brows furrowed.

"Room service." The voice of an angel cooed behind the door.

"But I didn't order any room service," Remy grumbled under his breath as he lazily stood up from the bed and made his way to the door. He yawned and stretched a little before unlocking the door.

As he turned the door knob and open it wide, expecting to see the face of an angel that matched the sweet voice, he was greeted with a fierce punch in the face sending him flying backwards with a crashing thud.

The sound of rattling metals, shattering glasses and displaced objects engulfed the luxury enclosure. But this was nothing compared to the pain that shot up Remy's brain as he let out a pathetic cry.

"Ah...what the f*ck, men. You broke my nose."

Remy's trembling hand impulsively flew to his face, cupping his bleeding nose. His eyes widened in horror as he watched a hefty-looking man and a slim-looking woman stroll into the room, shutting the door behind them.

They were both dressed in casual attires like normal humans. But the sinister look in their eyes told Remy that he was in a lot of trouble.

"Please I think, you are in the wrong room. You've probably gotten me mistaken with someone else. I haven't done anything wrong. I swear." Remy quickly went on his knees knowing the people now seated before him didn't come to socialize.

"Are you sure, Remy?" The beautiful but lethal-looking lady asked, pulling out a pocket knife from her boot.

Remy instantly broke down in a cold sweat, a chill running down his spine. If they knew his name, then he was in deep shit.

"Please, I... I...don't know who you people are. I...I... I swear, I haven't done anything wrong to anyone. You've got to believe me?"

"Then why are you running?" A wicked smirked curled up the lady's lips, while her partner's face remained stone cold almost giving Remy a heart attack.

"Running!" Remy's jaw dropped. "I...I wasn't r..."

Remy didn't get to finish his statement when another punch landed on the side of his left cheek knocking him off his knees. He groaned and gritted his teeth spitting out bloodied saliva.

"It will be in your best interest not to lie to me, Remy. Otherwise, I will unleash this bulldog on you." The lady warmed while the heft man suppressed a growl like a devil hound.

Remy shook his head vigorously, scrambling back to her knees, his hand still cupping his bleeding nose. He couldn't help but wonder if these people were Tina's military brother's colleagues sending him a message.

"So tell me, why were you running?" The lady asked again, calmly.

"I...I...was scared." Remy gulped down the lump in his throat.

"Of what?" The lady raised her brow impatiently.

"Of getting mobbed by angry fans."

"Really!"

"I swear." Remy's entire body shook as the bulldog stood up. "I was nearly attacked yesterday when I went to a bar because of my ex-boss."

"You ex-boss?" The lady's lips curled in a wicked smile. "How typical of you to abandon her when she needs you the most. I thought you were her right-hand man."

'So I was right after all. That heartless Tina sent these people here to beat me up after everything I have done for her.' Remy lamented but the lady's next statement knocked the air out of his lung.

"Tell me, did you both have fun messing with my boss's wife?"

"Boss's wife!" Remy's pounding heart quadrupled. "Which boss's wife?"

"Let me refresh your memory."

As the word left the lady's mouth, the bulldog unleashed terror on Remy.

....

The previous night's event has been nothing short of a nightmare for Joanna.

Within a space of one hour, her entire life and career had been turned upside down by simply associating with Tina.

Pictures of her and Tina's partying in different locations with a couple of married men were all over social media, making it impossible for her to step out of her home.
