Du Wei was his best friend, and they always worked "closely" together.

But that wasn't important, Tom was grateful to have such a reliable and capable best friend.

"I've calculated the time, and Joanna was born the same year the hospital caught fire."

Du Wei thought for a moment and calmly said, "So you suspect that Joanna was born in that hospital, and the fire was connected to the Veda Sect?"

Tom said, "Yes, I believe the Veda Sect is using this method to select suitable babies to create Evil Spirits."

Du Wei said gravely, "Can you find out exactly how many babies died in that fire?"

Du Wei naturally knew this as well, so he asked again, "Now that others are in charge of the Veda Sect matter, you can share your investigative information with Father Tony."

After parking the car, Du Wei got out with Tom.

He added, "After we sealed off the Horror House, we originally planned to shut down the amusement park too, but that damned park manager was adamantly against it. So I notified the higher-ups and immediately had the whole park closed under the pretext of the manager evading taxes."

"It might sound unreasonable, but there was no other way. After all, some people can't keep their mouths shut and easily spread panic."

As he spoke, he walked to the entrance of the prefabricated house with an umbrella, followed by Du Wei.

Almost immediately, related personnel emerged from inside.

"Has anyone come in these past two days?"

"Chief, no one has come in. We have people around the amusement park, not even a stray dog can get in."

Tom nodded in satisfaction, turned to look at Du Wei, and said, "Hey, did you hear that? This place is absolutely safe."

Du Wei made an acknowledging sound but straightaway entered the Spirit Vision state and glanced over the entire amusement park.

The atmosphere was a bit oppressive... but not very obvious.

Above, the sky looked even grimmer, a gray expanse as if shrouded in haze.

"It looks like nothing will happen for now. I'll deal with the Horror House after I get back from Yard City and see if we can solve its problems."

Du Wei thought to himself.

He arranged to deal with the Horror House before confronting the Evil Spirit Du Wei.

Of course, if right after returning from Yard City, Father Tony has information about the evil spirit related to the mirror, Du Wei would not hesitate to switch his target.

After all, to him, the Evil Spirit Du Wei is currently the greatest crisis.

It's more terrifying than any other evil spirit.

Even the nun's curse would have a phase of gradual accumulation before erupting, but the Evil Spirit Du Wei would not hesitate at all given the chance.

As he spoke, he shrugged his shoulders, feigning calmness as he followed behind Du Wei, one hand tucked into his pocket, pulling out half a bottle of Holy Water.

The last time he had used it to wash himself had not exhausted the supply; he had been carrying the remaining Holy Water with him ever since.

Seeing this, Du Wei didn't say much, simply holding an umbrella and silently crossing the barrier, heading into the amusement park.

Looking ahead,

The whole amusement park seemed even more desolate in the rain, with only Du Wei walking in the rain and the shivering Tom. No other living being was present.

The place was desolate and oppressive.

The large raindrops hit the ground, accumulated together, forming shallow puddles.

What was reflected in the puddles was an exaggerated ghost-face relief and the building behind it.

Tom accidentally stepped into a puddle and immediately cursed, "fuck! My pants are wet!"

Du Wei, however, paid no attention to him, frowning tightly and staring intently at the Horror House in front of him.

In the Spirit Vision state,

The entire Horror House exuded a strong, gloomy sense of oppression, inexplicably making one's skin crawl.

It was as if standing alone in a graveyard, feeling that uncomfortable and irrefutable aversion.
