Eren's Ascension

Eren stood in vast emptyness of world. Sure enough he was again in the mind realm.

World eerie and much more darker than before, He observed huge mountain and sure enough, it was there.

The real threat and red glow of eyes. Nine tail fox.

Eren felt scared, he rationalised his thoughts and organised it to understand the situation better.

Only thing came to mind was use of this creature's power, guess that other fox- the one in outside world with eight tails was right?

This Nime tail fox wanted to took over Eren's body and in fit of rage, okay okay. It was more than just a fit, If was massacre.

In massacre eren lost very important factor, mental stability. His emotion had calmed after many days but another scar turmoiled them in absolute mess.

His will, emotion and love was at its minimum and depression at the peak, a perfect time to break someone's soul.

" Did you enjoy crushing them?" Chilling female voice rang in the loudest manner, as fox smiled and asked.

Eren remained silent, he wasn't angry at the question. In doing so neither he felt happy nor sad. Because that was meaningless. The question and answer as well because what he valued was lost and no amount of rage, blood and grief could bring it back.

He just felt empty.

" I didn't, I wanted to make them feel the pain I suffered but I am too weak and they are too evil." Eren spoke as if understanding his own heart and expressing it out without minding that the listener was a monster.

" You creatures are so complicated, you enjoyed it but you deny it. But I know you did. You had fun breaking that last guy's every bone and ripping his head off." Nine tail fox spoke, it tried to force eren to accept but what it didn't understand was that eren was telling the truth.

This creature didn't understand the complexity of intellingent beings mind.

"....."

" maybe you are right, I did enjoy it but that's wrong."

" Do you regret it?" Nine tail fox asked, trying to understand eren.

" I should but I don't, only thing I regret is not making their death more painful." A burning rage flared in his eyes.

" Hahah... That would be a spectacle but you know know what comes next, don't you?"

Eren nodded in response. He didn't accepted it but had no choice in it. He felt weak all over and his consciousness fading into nothingness.

Eren felt it- Silent death. but instead of gruesome and horrifying death he imagined for himself, death felt calming, relaxing and numbing his every pain and relieving his every memory.

Eren felt that, last moment of his life as he looked towards ginormous figure. He thought revenge was his life but in this moment not a single memory made him angry or sorrowful. He was in true bliss, living in his most beautiful memories again.

He didn't feel scared but just relieved that death was so beautiful and painless.

And just like that his consciousness was about to fade into nothing.

Eren woke up, Blindness gave sense of reality and consistent noise of waterfall sense of surrounding.

He tried to sit up, his body sore but nothing much. No broken bones, no teared up muscles and not even single scratch over his child body.

His clothes still ragged and even more ripped then before but covered enough.

Eren sat up, hands sliding all over his body in search of any wound but nothing, bewildered but then he remembered his hands regenerating. It was shocking to say the least but as the child of wonders and horrors, he accepted in pretty easily.

he concluded that if hand could regenerate then that might be the power which could've healed him.

Power of nine tail fox.

Eren Remembered the last touch of nina and massacre he did. Eren remembered his talk with the nine tail fox and how it ended but surprisingly he didn't die.

'What happened?' He and no one for that matter knew the answer to that, nobody alive.

' I lived but what should I do now?' eren was confused, maybe for the first time in his life he felt so empty. With no path to move ahead.

" Awake yet?" Female enchanting voice rang beside him, his sense alerted to max as he subconsciously activated mana sense.

He saw 10 meter tall nine tail fox figure watching him silently.

" You can see!!, wow. Does that you mean defeated that nine tail bitch." The fox first felt shocked but it vanished as it was overshadowed by pure joy.

" What do you mean?"

" Ooff..for a moment I thought of killing you but guess it's not needed anymore." She spoke not even listening to eren.

" What are you talking about?"

" didn't you meet him in mind realm, the fox bitch. As I told you before it wanted to control over you body but you killed him, that's why you're alive." her explanation was lacking in many ways but for current eren, it was more than enough to understand.

" Is there a chance that it's still alive, somewhere inside me?" Asked eren with perplexed emotions. He wasn't scared but neither he was happy.

" No, it's dead."

" You sure?"

" As much as I can be." Fox consistently replied, her words etched with epitome of wisdom and arrogance of truth.

Eren accepted that this fox was sure but then what happened?, he sure as hell didn't fight much less kill that creature.

" I didn't?" A weak voice from Eren perked fox's ear up

" What ?" Fox asked.

" I didn't kill it."

" You didn't huh.." fox was relaxed, just a bit intrigued.

" I was there, saw it and was sure I'll die but.."

" It doesn't matter, it died and you lived. Isn't that great news?" Fox spoke happily, cheering him but it didn't work

A melancholy silence made two stop speaking for a bit.

" I'm sorry for your loss."

Eren remained silent to her words for a moment then asked.

" What happened to the little girl?"

" She died along with other fourteen, I let one go and burned the rest." The one remained alive, levy. Someone he purposely left unattended. Eren didn't had heart to see his face. Scared of what he might do levy.

But now that he was gone eren didn't knew what to feel anymore.

" You want him dead?"

" No, I no longer want to do anything with him." Everytime he thought of levy, Nina's smiling face shone bright in his memory, making him relive all those horrible memories.

He let levy go out of consideration for Nina.

" So Hey, I'm Alena Hemsworth. What's your name?" Alena tried to change the topic as neatly as she could.

" Eren salvatore."

" Don't be grumpy." Eren wasn't grumpy just Tired of all this, he met someone and they left. It was blissful to get attached yet thought of them leaving frightened eren.

Especially since eren nearly died, his thoughts have become calculative. He does not want to end up in same situation again.

As well as he's afraid of his unknown future, what should he do?

" Eren do you want to learn cultivation?" the fox asked, foxy appearance serious than ever and her tone loud.

It perplexed eren to some extent.

" Maybe you'll find the answer to your question in the cultivation." Alena didn't specify which question as she felt multiple doubts rise in this boy's heart.

" Someone said that we can't worth the life unless we live all of it." Eren spoke, organising how levy said but it sounded completely different.

" Well that idiot was wrong." Alena shot that down in instant, eren looked towards Alena and felt idiotic, expressing his beliefs.

" From what he said, his point of views of life is as reading a book. It's not wrong but I have different opinion." Alena looked at eren for moment and then continued.

" Think of this life as game. You play, you win to be happy, if you lose them you're sad and if you lose big time then it's game over, death.

The funny thing is you can play it however you want, Sad, happy, angry, funny or lusty. That last part is not a joke. The point is you will not care for end of this game but will enjoy every part of it.

Isn't that something?" Her understanding of life and analogy in simplest manner was outstanding in many ways.

Alena saw eren shocked and felt angry.

" You thought I was mindless creature, roaming to hunt and survive."

" No.. I didn't mean.."

" Zip it kid, For your info. I was once human and I am vegetarian unlike that fox bitch." Her loud and stroking voice left no space for objection, eren nodded in apologetic manner. Although a bit shocked with her being vegetarian and all.

" So what do you say, want to walk with me on the path of cultivation?" fox asked with joy as if she had already forgotten the previous outburst.

Eren fell in dilemma, his thoughts even more confused but he tried relating his life with her analogy.

'A game huh, I don't want it to be a tragedy.' he laughed mirthlessly at his own selfishness. People died yet he still wanted to live.

" People come and go Eren , but this game continues as long as you hold the reins. And those fallen would surely want you to continue." As if understanding his thoughts, she spoke as she gently caressed his face with fluffy tail.

This subtle movement comforted him greatly, his pent up heart loosened and he nodded with saddened smile.

" It won't be easy and I won't always be there to help you so I'll ask you, you ready for this?" Eren knew of this but he had already decided.

" Yes." he answered loudly, his focus steady and chaotic thoughts receding slowly.

" Then as your master, I command you to built me a mansion."

" what!!!"
