Chapter 5: chapter 5: a familiar sight
The static on the television screen shimmered and danced, a chaotic mess of black and white noise. Vincent had pointed it out earlier, a flicker in the corner of the screen, something just a little off. Now, the static coalesced, resolving itself into a stark government warning flashing harshly across the small screen.
A stern, amplified voice filled the cabin, cutting through the casual chatter. "…attention all citizens. A high-value target is believed to be in this sector. This individual is considered armed and extremely dangerous…"
The warning droned on, detailing the activities of a notorious pirate crew. Their leader, once a celebrated figure, the son of a great leader, had turned rogue. He was now a wanted criminal, his name whispered in fear and admiration in equal measure. He was known for targeting corrupt governments, freeing political prisoners, and delivering a rough, brutal kind of justice where the established systems had failed. But his methods were undeniably criminal.
"…the suspect is believed to possess a Titan ability related to silk manipulation," the voice continued, the words sending a chill down Theo's spine. "He is described as a male, approximately fifteen years of age, and was last seen wearing a dark cloak. Citizens are advised to exercise extreme caution and report any suspicious activity to the authorities."
