Emptiness Chapter 4 - Path to Blaze

I've decided to graduate a year early.

Kurenai never taught a single genjutsu to her students.

Asuma mainly got his kids to bond.

Kakashi...taught tree walking...and prepped Sasuke for the Chunin finals. I'm not ignoring the fact that Naruto got his Multi-shadow clone memory trick and Rasenshuriken without Kakashi's help.

It's the fact it took 3 years for him to help that says more about Kakashi's character that puts me off far too much than comfortable with sharing.

Basically, he felt like a dick to an extent, promising to be there for the team but never feeling like raising their individual skill levels.

Sakura got nothing quite frankly.

So my holy grail, is to graduate early and since the massacre didn't happen yet, and I'm an adult in a teenage body, I barely(ironically) manage to move up a grade in order to compete for Might Guy with the number 1 dickhead who didn't deserve Might Guy as a teacher at first, Neji Hyuga.

AND WHAT A DICK HE IS, LET ME TELL YOU, HE SNORTED AS SOON AS I WALKED INTO THE ROOM.

Now I claim to be a reasonable adult, 99% of the time, but that day, in that moment, something triggered within me and I lunged at him only to be swatted away like a fly with his gentle fist and immediately threw a glare at him.

After realizing where I was and who I was too, I immediately decided to take the rival route and do as all assholes do, and declare Neji as my rival itself.

And after his eye-roll, with class laughter in the background, I literally, like a child, stomped my way to my seat, without fake anger ironically.

The teacher, stared at me for a moment, shook his head and sighed, and went back to teaching, as if he'd Seen it all before.

And in that moment I smiled, for I had found myself a Path to Blaze.
