"It's so cold here!" As soon as they entered Tianming City, everyone but Chu Qin felt an intense chill.

"For billions of years, I've never felt cold!" exclaimed the Eight Imperial Kirin Venerable in surprise.

"Tianming Xuandong is forged from the coldest Crystal Stone in the world. Those below the realm of Immortal Territory all feel the bone-piercing chill just like ordinary people," spoke the Tianming City Lord just then.

Following that, a stunning figure emerged from the depths of the cavern.

This person appeared to be around thirty years old, with hair the color of ice, not only smooth and shining but also seeming to sparkle with a frosty luster. Beneath the icy hair was a face so breathtakingly beautiful it made one's heart tremble; icy brows paired with eyes clear as ice gems, complemented by lips as red as cherries—it was enchantingly intoxicating.

The woman's figure was like a masterfully crafted work of art. She wore a long robe the color of ice, and beneath the fabric, one could glimpse her extremely fair skin and the perfectly voluptuous and graceful contours of her body. Especially those ice-jade-like legs, so smooth and delicate.

The woman was barefoot, walking upon the ice, adding to her alluring beauty!

Chu Qin's eyes lit up in an instant.

Soon, Chu Qin and the others followed the Tianming City Lord into the depths of the ice cavern.

As they entered, they saw a blue pool in front of them.

They also saw Pangu Tianzun, who was bound hand and foot, immersed in the blue pool.

"Pangu Tianzun!" Jiucail Xuan Nu and Luo Yuan both exclaimed, their expressions changing.

"Don't worry, Xuan Nu, Elder Pangu is fine," Chu Qin said with a slight smile at that moment.

"Fine?" Jiucail Xuan Nu and Luo Yuan both appeared puzzled.

"Fellow Chu Qin is correct," the Tianming City Lord said with a smile, "Pangu Tianzun is fine. I was merely using the Bingyu Spring Water to stimulate the Ancient Immortal Blood within his body, to devour the essence of the Lord of Blood Demon Fiend."

"Ancient Immortal Blood?" Chu Qin raised his eyebrows slightly. He remembered, the Lord of Blood Demon Fiend had also mentioned that Pangu Tianzun had Ancient Immortal Blood within him.

"Yes," the Tianming City Lord nodded, "Within Pangu Tianzun's body exists a powerful Ancient Immortal Blood, not inferior to the Netherworld Immortal Blood within the body of the Lord of Blood Demon Sha. It just hasn't been awakened. As to where the Ancient Immortal Blood comes from, I'm afraid only Pangu knows."

"Wait a minute, Tianming City Lord, do you perhaps know where the Blood Demon Fiend comes from?" Chu Qin glanced at Pangu Tianzun and then his pupils shifted slightly.

"I do," the Tianming City Lord nodded. "He is a descendant of the Youming Xian Emperor."

"The Youming Xian Emperor!" everyone exclaimed, surprised by this revelation.

"Yes, the Youming Xian Emperor, originally named Jinren Xian Emperor, was once the overlord of the Nine Heavens. Later, he was ousted from the Nine Heavens by several Immortal Emperors and fell to the Jiuyou Diming, where, with his powerful immortal power of immortality, he conquered all the creatures of the Jiuyou Diming and became its master," the Tianming City Lord explained. "The Lord of Blood Demon Sha is his descendant."

"So that's how it is. The Lord of Blood Demon Sha, he aims to use the Infinite Heavens as a base to reclaim the Nine Heavens," Chu Qin nodded.

"No. The Youming Xian Emperor is dead!" the Tianming City Lord shook his head.

"Why then does the Lord of Blood Demon Sha not die, but the Youming Xian Emperor does?" Li Qingcheng and Long Xue asked, puzzled.

"Because of the curse of the Nine Heavens! Not just the Youming Xian Emperor, all the Immortal Emperors of the Nine Heavens cannot escape the curse of the Nine Heavens!" the Tianming City Lord said.

"Curse, what is a curse?" Chu Qin asked eagerly. He had always wanted to know what this curse was.

"I don't know either," the Tianming City Lord shook his head. "This curse is dreadful. As long as one is of the Nine Heavens and has the pure bloodline of the Nine Heavens, no matter how strong, no matter where they flee, they cannot escape this curse! The Lord of Blood Demon Sha is a descendant of both the Youming Xian Emperor and the inhabitants of the Jiuyou Diming, lacking the pure Nine Heavens bloodline, so he is not cursed."

"Then, has this curse nothing to do with us?" Jiucail Xuan Nu inquired. "We are not from the Nine Heavens."

"Indeed, you are not," the Tianming City Lord replied. "But, upon entering the Nine Heavens, you would be affected by side effects of the curse."

"Hmm, at first there might be no issue, but if one continues to remain in the Nine Heavens, lifespan would be greatly reduced. Venerate of Heavens might live just a few hundred years, just like mortals," the Tianming City Lord explained.

"Ah!" the women were all startled. Just a few hundred years, to them, was but the blink of an eye.

"Where does this curse come from?" Chu Qin continued to inquire. "If I'm not mistaken, you are also a descendant of the Nine Heavens, right?"

"No one knows the origin of the curse. And as for me, possessing bloodlines from both the Nine Heavens and the Infinite Heavens, mine is not a pure Nine Heavens bloodline! Originally, I didn't need to worry about the curse. In the past, the Void Immortal King, in order to evade the curse, separated the Void Continent from the Nine Heavens. But now, with the Lord of Blood Demon Sha having shattered the Tianmen, the Void Continent has returned to the Nine Heavens, and so I am also amongst those cursed," the Tianming City Lord nodded.

"You knew the Lord of Blood Demon Sha shattered the Tianmen, which means you saw the battle between me and the Lord of Blood Demon Sha," Chu Qin stated.
