Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Qin Ming

Chapter 95: Qin Ming

One day, while Yang Potian was meditating in his dorm, someone knocked on the door. He was informed that the three Deans wanted to see him in their office. Feeling puzzled, Yang Potian headed to the Dean's office, where he saw, in addition to the three Deans, a young teacher and a tall student.

Yang Potian greeted the Deans politely, "Good day, Deans. May I ask why I was called here?"

The Dream Machine Dean gestured toward the young teacher and student, saying, "Yang Potian, let me introduce you. This is Teacher Qin Ming, and this is student Yu Tianheng."

Yang Potian nodded slightly in greeting, "Teacher Qin Ming, Yu Tianheng."

However, Yang Potian was still confused. He hadn't had any previous interactions with Qin Ming or Yu Tianheng, so why had the Dream Machine Dean summoned him?

"Yang Potian," Dream Machine Dean began, "under the academy's plan, Teacher Qin Ming will serve as the leader of Heaven Dou Royal Academy's First Team, and Yu Tianheng will be the team captain."

"Congratulations, Teacher Qin Ming, and to you as well, Captain Yu Tianheng," Yang Potian replied politely.

Qin Ming nodded in acknowledgment, while Yu Tianheng looked on with an air of arrogance, barely acknowledging him.

"Dean, I'm curious as to how the First Team is connected to me," Yang Potian asked.

The Dean hesitated before replying, "Under orders from His Majesty the Emperor and Crown Prince, we are devoting all our resources to build a strong team for the academy. Teacher Qin Ming and Yu Tianheng believe that some members of the Second Team would be valuable additions to the First Team."

Yang Potian couldn't help but chuckle. "Dean, I've been training my team for over two years now. For the First Team to simply come and try to take my members—isn't that a bit inappropriate? Besides, when I first spoke with the Crown Prince, he entrusted me with complete control over recruitment and training for the Second Team."

"I've also made a commitment to the Crown Prince that in five years, I'll lead the Second Team to the Spirit Master Tournament with the goal of winning the championship."

Qin Ming interjected, "Yang Potian, I understand that you're talented, but you need formal training. I hear that you haven't attended any classes since enrolling, which puts you at a disadvantage."

Yang Potian replied calmly, "Teacher Qin Ming, the information covered in those classes is something I already know. Attending them would only waste time better spent on self-training and meditation. As for the training I've arranged for my team, the Deans are welcome to test our progress to see the results firsthand."

Qin Ming looked a bit taken aback. "Your training can't compare to the structured guidance I provide. Under my instruction, your team members would achieve a higher level of strength and potential."

Yang Potian appeared unimpressed, thinking that Qin Ming's approach was likely similar to what he knew from Shrek Academy.

"Teacher Qin Ming, my current team includes Dugu Yan with spirit power at level 36, Yang Ping'an at level 35, Ye Lingling at level 33, Niu Meng at level 29, and both Tai Long and Bai Xiaofei at level 28. In just two years, each of them has increased by at least seven levels."

"My goal is that in five years, every member of my team will reach the Soul Ancestor level by the Spirit Master Tournament. Can you guarantee that kind of progress with your methods?" Yang Potian challenged. "Furthermore, by then, I will have reached Soul King level. A lineup of one Soul King and six Soul Ancestors—wouldn't that be competitive in the tournament?"

A heavy silence fell over the room. Qin Ming was especially surprised, realizing that Yang Potian's training had yielded astonishing results in a short time—results he wasn't confident he could replicate.

Yu Tianheng, too, was visibly stunned. He'd previously been classmates with Dugu Yan, Ye Lingling, and Yang Ping'an in the Tianzhi class, and now they had all surpassed him, closing in on graduation-level power.

Seeing the effect his words had, Yang Potian continued, "When these members joined my team, their spirit power levels weren't particularly impressive. The progress they've made is thanks to my training. Teacher Qin Ming, you're welcome to see if anyone in my team is willing to leave the Second Team to join yours."

Yang Potian wasn't exaggerating. Ye Lingling was his girlfriend, and Yang Ping'an his loyal follower—neither would consider leaving. Niu Meng, Tai Long, and Bai Xiaofei were all direct members of the Single Attribute Four Clans, whose parents would likely disown them if they tried to leave his team.

As for Dugu Yan, she had a close friendship with him and shared strong ties between her grandfather, Poison Douluo, and the Po Zhi Clan. It was equally unlikely that she'd leave.

Heaven Dou Royal Academy was a hub of nobility and influence, and within its walls, temptations abounded. Over the past two years, as the members of the Second Team grew stronger, many had attempted to recruit them.

Some had even tried using romantic lures, especially targeting Tai Long and Niu Meng. Both came from prominent spirit master families, with significant power due to their family members in the clan.

In fact, Tai Long and Niu Meng had been on the verge of dating some noble girls, clearly tempted. But Yang Potian caught wind of it and gave both a merciless lesson, leaving them battered and bruised. And even after that, he had Ye Lingling heal them up—just to have him continue the punishment afterward.

He later wrote to both their fathers, who arrived at the academy the next day to give their sons another round of punishment. To this day, the memory of those beatings haunted Tai Long and Niu Meng.

Yang Potian wasn't against them dating; he simply wanted to teach them to withstand temptations. Loyalty to family came first. If they could be swayed so easily, their families could one day face ruin because of them.

Dream Machine Dean sensed Qin Ming's embarrassment and stepped in to smooth things over. "Teacher Qin Ming, our academy has many other talented students aside from the Second Team. The Tian Dou class alone has over fifty students, all above level 30 and under 20 years old, eligible for the tournament."

Realizing his efforts were futile, Qin Ming nodded slightly in agreement.

The Dean then turned back to Yang Potian, "Yang Potian, we've seen the results of your training with the Second Team. Rest assured, there will be no changes to your lineup. Keep up the good work."
