Taking his hand, Zhu Zhuqing led Su Ming to a seat. At first, they talked earnestly about recent events and the days they'd spent apart.

But gradually, Su Ming's hand found its way to hers, then around her shoulders, until he gently held her close, making her heart race.

Zhu Zhuqing had prepared herself for this moment. From the day they'd officially become a couple, she'd been ready for this, and although she understood how busy he'd been lately, she couldn't help but feel a pang of longing. Seeing him remain so focused on his responsibilities, she'd even wondered if she had the same allure as the others. So, when the opportunity arose, she decided to reach out to him first.

Settling comfortably in Su Ming's arms, she murmured, "Su Ming… would you like…"

Her voice was soft, hesitant, yet filled with anticipation.

Su Ming felt a surge of emotion hearing Zhu Zhuqing's words. A hint of shyness lingered in her gaze—almost surprising to him, considering her usual composed demeanor.

Seeing the tenderness in her eyes, he realized he couldn't wait any longer.

A gentle smile on his lips, Su Ming leaned closer, bringing her fully into his embrace.

The night passed with both warmth and laughter. Tired yet content, Zhu Zhuqing nestled against Su Ming, her voice barely a whisper. "Su Ming, that was… amazing."

He looked at her with an affectionate smile and gently brushed a stray strand of hair from her face. Initially, he'd planned to use this night for his spirit ring absorption, but it seemed that would have to wait. As dawn approached, he held Zhu Zhuqing close, deciding he'd delay his plans until morning.

Both drifted into a peaceful sleep. In the meantime, somewhere far away, the system stirred the pot.
