Douluo Dalu: I became a Spirit Beast ,but why am I a Pokémon?

Chapter 1: Life as a Bear Cub

Waking up in a cave after passing out from exhaustion in my living room was ,to say the least.

Terrifying.

Confusion filled my rational mind as I struggled to find an explanation to my current situation.

As I sat there in a daze ,the heavy thud of footsteps approaching snapped me out of it. I looked towards the sound to see a massive bear.

A huge bear that towered over me by at least ten times the size difference. It had dusty black fur with white stripes all over its stomach.

Fear filled my eyes before I looked down at my hands as I got up to run away ,only to realize that my hands were two fur covered hands that somewhat resembled black bear claws.

After standing up ,I observed the rest of my body to see my entire body covered head to toe in dusty grey fur.

I then turned my attention to the hulking black bear in front of me. It was staring at me before it started making grunting noises that I could surprisingly make out into words.

"Fu Shi ,it's time to start training. Follow me."

As I followed the bear outside the cave ,information started flowing into my mind. My new name was Fu Shi ,I am the son of two ,hundred thousand year spirit beasts.

I was born into a clan of bears made up of two different types of sub-species. The first species ,including the bear guiding me are called Strong Armed Black Grizzlies.

The other species of bears that included me were called Martial Monk Bears. My father was the bear guiding me ,known as Fu Gu The Iron Fist.

My mother was a Martial Monk Bear known as Shi Mei The Unseen River. These titles were given to them due to the fact that they had reached the hundred thousand year cultivation level and other mighty feats.

Currently it has been a month since my birth ,as of now I was being brought to cleanse my body in the Springs of Serenity.

A requirement for all Martial Monk Bears. It seemed to fulfill the purpose of allowing the young bears' bodies to mature faster and their spiritual power more stable and pure.

Allowing them to begin cultivation at a young age like the naturally endowed Strong Armed Grizzlies.

Usually most of his kind are only allowed to cleanse themselves at the age of six months old ,but as the son of two of the clan's top fighters.

I had quite a few privileges. Surprisingly ,life was comfortable as a bear cub. My fur kept me warm even in cold climates and I could receive special benefits due to my new parents.

I could get used to this kind of life.

....

(1 Year Later.)

After adapting to life as a bear cub ,it only took a week before I started seeing myself as part of the clan.

Many of the bears acted just like humans ,only slightly more aggressive towards outsiders and strength oriented.

I had been training diligently under my mother and father ,gaining a basic understanding of martial arts and enhancing my physique under strict training.

I had already been training for a full year before I realized I had gained a few peculiar abilities.

For some reason ,I could focus some sort of energy into my body to increase my attack strength by double. I called this ability Spirit Focus.

As of right now ,I could only use it once a day ,but I believed that once I became strong enough I could eventually maintain this state permanently.

I also had the ability to channel this energy into my arms and change its attribute. I can either make it strong and fierce or wicked and devious.

I named the first attribute Strength type energy and the second attribute was called Dark Elemental energy.
