Douluo : Capture the goddess starting from peerless tang sect

Chapter 210: Chapter 209: A New Achievement Unlocked

"Dong'er, are we really okay doing this? What if Qian Ran gets mad at us?" Lan Susu asked with a bit of worry, though a faint anticipation shone in her eyes.

"Hehe, you don't know Qian Ran well enough. If he truly didn't like you, we wouldn't be doing anything to upset him," Wang Dong'er replied with a sly smile. At the swimsuit party at his place, they all saw how Qian Ran's attention lingered on Cui Yajie and the twin sisters.

Since these three would likely join their extended family in the future, the other girls were more than happy to make it happen.

After all, if these three were to join the family, they'd enter as newcomers without much say. Knowing they'd been welcomed on the other girls' terms, Cui Yajie and the twins would be less inclined to compete for attention.

All the girls had good hearts, but after becoming close to Qian Ran, they naturally wanted to establish their standing. This hierarchy wasn't about power, but more a silent agreement on who held more sway within the group. While they never openly voiced this, each girl understood where she stood.

Take Zhou Yi, for instance. Her close relationship with Qian Ran had led some to think she held more influence than she should, which irritated figures like Ice Emperor. In this family, the higher-ranked members—like Tang Ya and Wang Dong'er—had certain privileges, and if one of them seemed too favored, it could stir resentment.

With so many women vying for one man's attention, these feelings were inevitable.

Qian Ran's harem was unusually stable, considering the circumstances. All the women were polite and refined, but even the most harmonious palace could have its subtle undercurrents.

"He really does like seeing you two in swimsuits," Xiao Xiao teased, stepping closer to the twins. Watching Lan Susu and Lan Luoluo's bashful expressions, she felt grateful she'd been with Qian Ran earlier on; otherwise, she might have ended up in the same position as Cui Yajie and the twins.

While Qian Ran treated all of them kindly, they each had their own measure of where they stood.

"There's a small room over there where you can change," Wang Dong'er said, pointing to a side door.

"This is part of the academy; they use it for student gatherings, so it's very private."

Lan Susu and Lan Luoluo exchanged a glance, cheeks flushed, and went inside.

Moments later, they emerged, both crossing their arms over their chests.

The twins' faces were rosy, arms wrapped modestly over their chests, clad in purple bikinis and tiny swim shorts that hugged their curves. Their smooth, ivory skin gleamed, exposed to the air in large expanses. Though their figures didn't quite rival Zhu Lu's, they were well-developed, their slim legs and long blue hair lending them an enchanting, youthful beauty as they stood together.

If one wasn't intimately familiar with them, it would be nearly impossible to tell Lan Susu and Lan Luoluo apart.

Thanks to the girls' enthusiastic drinking games, Qian Ran was feeling a bit tipsy.

But seeing them now, his intoxication receded slightly. His gaze roamed back and forth over the twins, as if searching for subtle differences in a challenging game.

Without factoring in their soul power, it was tough to distinguish them. Still, Lan Susu, as the older sister, had a slightly different demeanor and a hint of maturity in her expression.

Qian Ran began to sense the girls' intentions and couldn't help but chuckle to himself. Did they think he'd hesitate to make a move? Or were they simply creating the perfect opportunity?

Not that he minded.

The twins' talents might be average, but with the boost from their Martial Soul Fusion skill, they weren't exactly lacking. In terms of looks, they were among the best—especially as a duo, with their combined charm exceeding that of many others. Overall, aside from Wang Dong'er, Xiao Xiao, and Zhu Lu, they were certainly top-tier beauties.

Feeling shy under Qian Ran's gaze, the twins lowered their heads. With the encouragement of those around them, they finally sat on either side of him.

Seeing this, Qian Ran pulled both girls close, inhaling their soft, fragrant scent. He now knew a foolproof way to distinguish them—their scents were subtly different.

He let his hands roam gently over the twins' smooth, delicate backs, tracing the elegant lines of their spines and the softness of their skin.

"Are you sure you won't regret this?" he asked softly. If it had been up to him, he might not have had the patience to pursue Lan Susu and Lan Luoluo. He didn't lack interest in them, but there were still many others who held his attention. How would he have found the time?

Even if they were by his side, could his feelings for them compare to those he had for Tang Ya or the others?

The answer was no.

Love could never be perfectly balanced.

To be honest, his attachment to Lan Susu and others might be less than half of what he felt for Tang Ya and her group, and perhaps even less than he felt for Zhou Yi.

In time, Qian Ran's harem would grow, potentially reaching dozens.

At that point, if he tried to divide his attention equally, he'd be left with only fleeting moments for each, and that wouldn't be fair. There would inevitably be favorites, and he'd have to carve time out for everyone else.

In a palace, most women might never experience even one night with the emperor. Qian Ran wouldn't be so heartless, but he also couldn't be with each of them constantly.

He took a deep breath, deciding to be honest with them about this now.

Qian Ran had an urge to bring together the most beautiful and exceptional women, but they were far from mere collectibles to him—they were real people. They were exquisite, their beauty nothing short of art; in his past life, such women were like dreams beyond reach.

But now, he found himself increasingly busy.

And though he might not be able to spend as much time with them as they deserved, his possessiveness and desire to gather them close hadn't lessened.

No matter what the future held, Qian Ran couldn't bear the thought of these unparalleled beauties being with anyone else. Perhaps it was selfish, but strength had given him this freedom.

"We won't regret it."

The sisters exchanged a look, their eyes filled with determination. They weren't asking for anything more—just the chance to be with him was enough. They had no complaints if he wanted to move on afterward.

"Though I can't promise to give you everything you might wish for, I'll do my best," he said. Qian Ran wasn't heartless; if they were truly good to him, they would find themselves in his heart as well.

With two beautiful girls in his arms, Qian Ran found his restraint slipping.

The next morning, Qian Ran woke up, head heavy and slightly sore from drinking.

It was the usual feeling after too much alcohol.

He only vaguely remembered the girls taking turns pouring him drinks. Even with his tolerance, it had been a challenge to keep up with their playful toasts. But who could turn down such lovely company?

Then there was the fun that followed, memories that sent a pleasant warmth through his heart.

Lan Susu and Lan Luoluo had actually offered themselves to him, and it seemed Cui Yajie had joined as well…

Qian Ran rubbed his temples. He had no idea when they'd made these plans, but it had clearly been orchestrated by Wang Dong'er. Cui Yajie and the others might not have known about it until it was too late to turn back.

If Qian Ran's life could be described as anything, it was that of a true winner.

Who could deny it? In what other life would beauties flock toward someone so freely?
