CHAPTER 9

***MAKING FRIENDS***

After class that day, Chen moved about the academy in order to know more about it. He met some people on the way talking about him"It's the transfer student, he's hot"' Some girls said

"I'll make him fall flat for me". Another proclaimed while fanning her face. He grinned mischievously " I almost forgot how handsome i am, nevertheless i'm here to get stronger". He thought internally. 'THUD'. He collided with something soft. He lost his footing and fell down. "Can't you see?". An enraged feminine voice asked. Chen looked up only to be greeted by a beautiful sight. Dark long hair, white skin, innocent beautiful blue eyes, delicate pink lips and a body that could only exist in fairytails. " Damn, am i dreaming or did i really meet an angel?". He subconsciously thought. Getting a hold of his situation, he quickly stood up. "Sorry". He apologised. " Whatever" She said and walked out. "Hahahaha, not quite what you expected right". A cute chubby boy with short grey hair spoke while laughing". " Yeah". Chen responded. "Hey, i'm Damian". The boy introduced, bringing his hand for a handshake. " I'm Chen" He also introduced accepting the handshake. "Come on, let me show you around" Damian volunteered. "Okay, thanks". Chen replied. Both of them walked round the school." This is the cafeteria, this is the bakery, this is the inner room for the teachers, this is the public arena, this is the ranking board". Damian explained. "What's a ranking board?" Chen asked. "A ranking board is simply a board where the academy's strongest students from top one to top hundred are showcased boldly for all to see. Currently, the third year occupy the top ten spot while the second year occupy top eleven to top fifteen, from top sixteen is mixed up. Damian elaborated. " What about top hundred downwards?". Chen asked. "You'll have to get involved in lots of fight in order to be noticed by the academy's authorities, Did i mention that the top one to hundred are given mana crystals monthly by the school authorities if the spot is maintained for a period of a month which most find difficult." Damian added. After all the sightseeing, they both went to their various rooms and luckily, their rooms were opposite each other. "Damian, that girl earlier, what's her name?". Chen asked. " Hmm!, the new boy is hooked up", Damian teased. "No, no, no, i admit she's beautiful but trust me that's totally not the reason". Chen denied. Damian shrugged" Anyways, She's Clair, one of the hottest girl in year one and she's pretty strong". "Okay, bye". Chen said his goodbyes before entering his room. " I hope i love this school". Chen thought. "Mr Ken seems pretty strong too, the energy he gives out is strong, close to the energy my dad gives out. Damian said Clair's strong then i'm the only weak one, damn, i hate being weak". Chen cursed. Few minutes later, he slept off, in anticipation of what will become of the next day.

The next morning Chen woke up, he entered the training room in his room. It has been made available to every student. He did hundred pushups, hundred situps and ran one kilometre in the training room before heading out to his classroom but not before calling out to Damian. They both walked together to class. Chen was in class four and Damian in class 2. That day in class, Mr ken did not talk about the four armed wolf, he emphasized more on combat and beast weapons.
