Demonic Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 377: Are you giving up, are you?

In the heart of the Osiris guild, where the sound of footsteps echoes through the wide stone corridors, lit by torches that cast dancing shadows on the walls. The atmosphere is full of life and movement, with adventurers of all classes discussing, training or preparing for their quests.

The guild, which was once just an idea in Strax's hands, has now become one of the most influential and powerful factions in the entire Duchy of Vorah.

Strax walks beside Rogue, her figure always impeccable, as if no challenge could shake her. Rogue watched with a discreet, proud smile, knowing that she was about to impress him. They head towards the center of the guild, where the atmosphere is one of pure activity, and the guild members greet her with respect and even a little reverence.

"So..." Strax begins, his words hanging in the air, "tell me, what did you do to make this guild grow so much? I never imagined it would come to this."

Rogue turns to him, her smile becoming a little wider, as if she had anticipated this question. She looks around with a twinkle in her eye, visibly proud of everything she has built.

"Well, you know I've always been a guild manager, this is normal for me," she begins, her voice soft but laden with authority. "What I did was build on the foundations you gave me. First, I started expanding resources, making alliances with other guilds and factions... Did I kill some? Yes, but it's irrelevant now. With that, we gained access to bigger, more dangerous and, of course, more rewarding quests. Adventurers began to realize that being in Osiris meant more than just a guild - it was an opportunity to grow and prosper."

Strax listened intently, his eyes observing every detail around him, noting the visible improvements in every aspect of the guild. The training rooms, the weapons stands, the workshops where members forged equipment, everything seemed to have been done with strategic precision.

Rogue continued, his confidence in his words evident. "What's more, we also focused on training our members in a specialized way. It wasn't just a question of brute strength, but of skill. We started recruiting not only warriors and mages, but also strategists, alchemists, spies and even merchants. All with specific skills, which contributed to the growth of the guild in all areas. As a result, we've secured major mercenary contracts and even secret missions for powerful factions."

Strax gives a slight smile, his eyes observing the grandeur of the building, the various guild members interacting with dexterity and confidence. He could feel the energy in the air - the guild was no longer just an organization of adventurers, but a veritable empire on the rise. "It looks like you've really turned Osiris into a well-functioning machine."

"I just followed the plan you gave me, Strax," Rogue says, with a glint of modesty in her voice. "You gave me the tools (gold), and I just used them. The rest is the result of hard work, dedication and a vision of a better future."

They continue walking through the guild, passing corridors full of life, where all the members, from novices to veterans, are immersed in their activities. Strax stops for a moment in front of a large meeting room, where maps and mission plans are spread out on the tables. He observes the movement of the guild members discussing strategies with seriousness and precision.

"I always knew this faction could grow, but I never thought it would reach this level," Strax says, with a note of pride in his voice. "You've achieved more than I expected, Rogue."

Rogue smiles again, her eyes shining with the satisfaction of knowing that she has met, and even exceeded, Strax's expectations. "You always believed in our ability to go the extra mile, Strax. I just needed the chance."

"You took it well," Strax agrees, his eyes finally turning to her with a genuine smile. "I'm impressed. Osiris is now a force that many will respect. Perhaps even fear."

Rogue steps to the side, indicating a large hall where the guild members were gathered, celebrating a recent victory. "And the most important thing, Strax, is that Osiris is no longer just any faction. It's a family. Everyone here knows their worth and the role they play. We're ready to face anything that comes our way."

Strax watched the scene with a satisfied look on his face, noting the unity and loyalty that permeated the guild. He knew that Rogue wasn't just creating a powerful faction, but a veritable army of followers willing to fight for a greater cause.

"I can see that," he says, his voice more serious now. "But remember, Rogue, what we're building here isn't just a guild. We need to be more than just strong. We need to be unbeatable. Because the Empire is about to change, and Osiris could be the key to what comes next."

Rogue looks at him seriously, her gaze firm and resolute. "I'm ready, Strax. Let's make history."

Strax nods, with a smile that suggests he fully believes her. He knew that, alongside Rogue, Osiris would not only become a name to remember, but also the force that would define the future of the Empire.

"Now... how about we go upstairs and talk about that war you said?" Rogue said and he agreed.

Rogue took him to a private room on the upper floor of the Osiris guild, a cozier and more secluded space.

Soft candlelight flickered on the stone walls, creating an intimate and elegant atmosphere. A large velvet sofa and a dark wooden table stood in the center, next to a fireplace that cast a warm and welcoming light, illuminating Strax and Rogue's faces as they both settled there.

Rogue made an elegant gesture, inviting Strax to sit down. She herself walked towards the closet where there were several shelves, his gaze following her every move with a certain curiosity.

She was wearing a dark outfit, a dress open between her legs, very sophisticated, which accentuated her curves and her imposing posture. Her eyes locked onto Strax's as she picked up a bottle of wine from a nearby shelf.

"You've always been good at picking places, Strax," Rogue said with a subtle smile, her slender, deft fingers uncapping the bottle with a smooth, graceful movement. "Now, about this war, I think we have a lot to discuss."

Strax didn't reply immediately. Instead, he watched her as she poured the wine into the glasses, her hands sure and precise. He couldn't help but notice the way her movement seemed fluid, almost mesmerizing. The room was filled with a... comfortable feeling. She looked like a predator about to bite her prey.

Rogue handed him the glass, her eyes now fixed on Strax's, a small spark of defiance shining in them, she sat down next to him, "Are you going to tell me that you're more interested in war than in enjoying a good wine?" She leaned a little closer to him, causing her perfume to envelop the air around her, something intoxicating and striking.

Strax took the glass with a firm hand, but his gaze never left Rogue. He could feel the tension in the air, and her presence was enveloping, almost impossible to ignore. "War is just the backdrop, Rogue. But honestly, I think the conversation can wait a bit. That wine... seems more interesting now." He smiled, his voice low and engaging.

Rogue takes a sip of the wine, her soft lips brushing gently against the rim of the crystal glass. She leans a little closer to Strax, her dark eyes staring into his with a provocative glint.

"You always knew how to keep things interesting," she says in a soft voice, her free hand sliding lightly up his arm. "I wondered what Samira saw in you, now I understand."

Strax takes a sip of his own wine, keeping his eyes fixed on hers. He can feel the tension between them, the undeniable chemistry that has always existed. "So you've been analyzing me? I'm flattered," he replies, his voice low and husky.

Rogue smiles a provocative, seductive smile. She places her glass of wine on the coffee table, then moves even closer to Strax, her thigh brushing against his. "Maybe it's time we put our conversations aside and... concentrate on other things."

Strax doesn't hesitate. He pulls Rogue closer, his lips meeting hers in a hot, demanding kiss. She responds instantly, her lips moving against his with passion and desire. Her hands find his hair, pulling him closer, as he pulls her onto his lap.

Strax's lips move down her neck, kissing and sucking the soft skin. Rogue's breathing becomes heavy, a moan escaping her lips when she feels his mouth on her skin. She slides her hand under his shirt, feeling the firm muscles of his abdomen.

They kiss again, their tongues intertwining in a frantic dance. Strax's hand slides up Rogue's leg, under her dress. She writhes against him, wanting more, needing more.

"So..." Strax began... "Surrendering, are you?"
