Demonic Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 310: The incident

The main figure walked up to the door at the end of the corridor and ran his hand over its worn surface. Ancient symbols were engraved on the door, pulsing with energy that seemed to resist his presence. He pressed his lips into a thin line, furrowing his brow.

"Finally," he whispered, with a note of macabre excitement in his voice.

The hooded figure stopped in front of the large iron door, his gaze fixed on the ancient symbols that glowed with a red light. The energy around them was growing, as if the castle itself were reacting to the spell about to be unleashed. He slowly ran his hand over the cold surface of the door, as if feeling the pulse of the enchantments.

"It's now," he murmured, his voice low but full of determination. The sound of his footsteps echoed in the empty corridors as he moved closer to the door. His companions continued their work on the magical seals scattered along the path, their hands quick and precise, as if they had rehearsed for this moment.

The air around them grew denser, and a rising pressure made the atmosphere almost unbearable. It felt as though the castle itself was trying to resist the intrusion. The seals began to glow with a sinister, intense light, and the main figure raised his blade, a dark smile forming beneath his hood. He knew the decisive moment was near.

"Activate the final seal!" he commanded, his voice cutting through the tension in the air.

Immediately, the others in hoods fired spells at the door. The magical energy gathered, forming a black sphere that expanded around the entrance, the symbols on the door lighting up with a blinding intensity. The vibration filling the castle intensified, and a low, rising sound began to echo from the foundations.

Somewhere distant, in the center of the castle, Scarlet felt the shift in energy. Her sharp, attentive eyes turned toward the source of the disturbance. Something was happening, something big. She knew this moment was no coincidence, and destiny was about to be altered.

"Something's wrong," she said, her voice now laden with palpable tension.

Elizabeth, who had been silently observing up until then, looked at Scarlet, her eyes determined. "Do you think we should go there?"

Scarlet didn't answer immediately. She could feel the power growing in the castle, and her hunter instincts pulsed strongly. But at the same time, curiosity consumed her. Whatever was happening, she needed to know what it was.

She smiled contentedly, as if the situation was starting to fall into place with her plan. "Yes... but not before finishing our little fun." She smiled and turned to her daughters and Strax.

"Handle this while I have my fun," she said to them.

Strax looked at her face and could only sigh. "Alright..." he muttered.

As Scarlet and Elizabeth remained at the center of the battlefield, the tension in the air seemed palpable. Their confrontation had taken on a unique intensity, and both knew that whatever was happening further ahead could not be ignored for much longer. But Scarlet, with her malevolent smile, seemed even more determined to continue the fight.

"Now, the real fun begins," Scarlet murmured with a gleam in her eyes, and her flames began to grow even more intense, lighting up the field with a red and golden aura that reflected her indomitable will. She turned to Elizabeth, who stood her ground, not retreating, with her shadows twisting and contorting around her like serpents waiting to strike.

"Prepare yourself, princess. I won't spare you anymore," Scarlet said, her voice laced with pleasure, as though savoring each moment.

Elizabeth, with a fierce look, replied without hesitation, her shadows forming spears, whips, and tentacles in exact reflection of her will. "Come then. I'm ready to see how far you can go!"

The two launched at each other once again, their battle now taking on an even more epic scale. Scarlet used her flames to create a wall of fire that blocked Elizabeth's attacks, but the princess, unfazed, used her darkness to manipulate the battlefield, creating openings in Scarlet's defenses and striking with deadly precision. Every movement they made shook the ground, and the spectators, even from a distance, could feel the magnitude of their clash.

Meanwhile, as the battle between the two intensified, Strax turned to his daughters and Belatrix. He watched the battle with a disturbing calm, but his mind was already calculating the situation further ahead.

"Let's go, we need to get there now," Strax said, his voice deep and focused. "They won't wait for us."

Cassandra looked at the fight with a worried expression, but her focus quickly shifted to the task at hand. She knew the situation was becoming increasingly dangerous. "Stay sharp, Belatrix. I have a feeling this isn't a coincidence. We don't know what we'll find in there."

"I'm ready," Belatrix replied with a mischievous grin. "Nothing excites me more than a good dose of chaos."

Daniela, who was more impatient than ever, scowled and crossed her arms. "I just hope it doesn't take too long. This fight feels like a waste of time. Let's solve this mystery and get back to the fun."

Strax nodded. "Stay close. We don't know what to expect. Whatever's happening in the castle, we might not be the only ones after it."

With that, the group set off toward the source of the disturbance. Their footsteps echoed through the corridors as they advanced, their expressions serious and alert. With every explosion that shook the castle, they quickened their pace, the growing tension making it clear they were on the verge of encountering something far greater than they could imagine.

As they neared the center of the castle, where the energy was thickest, the air grew heavier, almost suffocating. The stench of dark magic was strong, and something pulsed in the atmosphere as if the castle itself were reacting to the power being unleashed.

When they arrived at the site, a massive iron door loomed before them, covered in arcane symbols glowing with a malevolent light. Strax gestured for everyone to remain silent as he analyzed the situation. His expression was grave, and he could feel the weight of the magic in the air. "Something is very wrong here. They've already activated the seals."

Cassandra studied the symbols. "These are ancient… a type of magic I haven't seen in ages. Something that's been lost to history."

Belatrix stepped forward, her eyes gleaming with a mix of interest and excitement. "And that's exactly what I love. The chance to make history while watching destruction unfold."

"Focus," Strax interrupted, cutting off any further lighthearted comments. "We need to make sure this doesn't spiral out of control."

Wasting no time, Strax approached the iron door, his hand lightly touching its cold surface. The door trembled as if it recognized his presence, and the magical seals surrounding it glowed with an almost blinding intensity. The pressure around them increased with each passing second, and whatever lay beyond the door, Strax knew it would be a force to be reckoned with.

With a swift motion, Strax made a gesture, and a bluish energy emanated from his hand. The symbols began to shift and react to the spell, but the door remained resistant.

"There's something more here," Strax said, looking at his allies. "Magic isn't the only thing we're dealing with. If this is what I think it is, we have a much bigger problem ahead."

They began working together, their spells weaving and merging, creating a surge of energy capable of countering the magical seals. Yet, even with their combined efforts, the door refused to budge.

"I think we need to go deeper," Cassandra suggested, her expression indicating she was beginning to grasp the stakes involved.

Strax nodded. "Let's keep at it. This isn't a simple lock."

On the other side of the door, the hooded figures moved swiftly and precisely, like shadows in the already dense atmosphere of dark magic. The air was thick with oppressive energy, and each member of the group seemed drawn to a singular, grim objective. The leader, clad in a dark cloak with eyes hidden beneath his hood, spoke with an eerie calm, though there was a sense of urgency in his tone.

"Some have already arrived... Find the artifact." His order echoed down the corridor, his voice's vibration carrying through the stone walls, blending with the sound of explosions that continued to rattle the castle's foundations.

With a firm gesture, he directed the others to scatter. The hooded figures advanced deeper into the corridor, moving silently yet with precise coordination. They knew the artifact was the key to completing their plan — to alter the fate of the castle, perhaps even the world.

Meanwhile, the pressure around the iron door intensified. Strax, his energy focused, could feel the magic around him growing harder to control. Every second seemed to add more weight to the air.

"What the hell is this?" he thought, sensing something strange emanating from the door.
