LGHTNOVELBOOK Chapter 6: Fear
Toga: The guy holding the scythe is incredibly powerful. He didn't let me escape; instead, he continued beating me until I was unable to move. He killed Big Sis Mags with just one swift swing of his scythe.
She recalls the scythe slicing through her comrade's body in an instant, as well as the severe beating she endured, which was extremely painful and merciless. It seemed as though her attacker intended to cause her genuine harm.
(Flashback in the Dark).
She watched in horror as the scythe sliced through Big Sis Mag's body, sending blood splashing everywhere. The scythe moved so swiftly that she was unable to react in time.
Toga: You're being incredibly insensitive all she wanted was for you to respect her pronouns.
She glared at the man, knife in hand, but in an instant, he had her pinned to the ground.
Yusuke: I strongly disagree with referring to that individual as a woman. They are a man and should be recognized as such.
His eyes blaze with hatred, his anger already boiling over at her blasphemy.
Toga: Big Sis Mags is woman!
She yells out loud to him.
Yusuke: ...
He glares at her, his anger boiling over as he begins to hit her with his fists in an attempt to silence her, a disturbingly common response in the Dark Orb Kingdom where mentioning pronouns can be a death sentence, exempt from punishment.
(End of Flashback).
Kaito: It's fortunate that you're not in Orb World, where the laws regarding violence against trans individuals are lenient. Even though in Orb World there's no such thing as trans people since humans who are trans come in to protest always get themselves killed by the Dark Orb King.
A twisted smile spreads across his face as he recalls the group of protesters who were killed by the Dark Orb King.
Vazquez: Enough talk let's just keep going.
He looks at everyone.
Ten minutes into their walk down a long, winding path into the depths of the forest, the only things surrounding them were darkness and dead trees, until a sign suddenly appeared right in front of them.
The sign: What are people's greatest fears? It's possible that one person from each team might not make it if they're not extremely cautious.
Kaito: What an intriguing experience! Sharing our fears must be a truly enlightening encounter.
He beams with excitement, eager to see what's going to happen.
Shigaraki: You seem very happy to hear that I'm assuming your worst fear is that no one will suffer?
He looks at him annoyed wondering why he's acting this way.
Kaito: Hmm maybe.
He says it happily as he pushes Shigaraki to the ground, clearly taking pleasure in causing harm to others.
(At the first team).
Dabi: Our worst fears?
He looks at everyone who's been staring at the sign that suddenly appeared in front of them just a minute ago.
Overhaul: Everyone has something that scares them. Even I'm afraid of something.
He looks at him calmly.
Kanako: If you're feeling scared, I'm here to offer you comfort.
She blushes a deep red as she smiles at Overhaul, her feelings for him evident in her words.
Overhaul: It's okay, I don't need comforting.
He looks at her, puzzled as to why she wants to comfort him.
In an instant, everyone from both teams had gathered together, for some unknown reason, and stood in silence, staring at one another.
Toga: You monster!
She swiftly pulls out a knife from her pocket and points it at Yusuke, who is currently grasping his scythe.
Shigaraki: Toga stand your ground.
He positions himself directly in front of Toga, prepared to intervene in case she decides to attack the man holding the scythe.
Yusuke: Women shouldn't fight since they're too weak. They're better off in the kitchen.
He glares at Toga, despite secretly thinking that she would be better off dead.
Kaito: This is absolutely hilarious and would be an incredible experience.
(In his mind).
"Even though I do enjoy watching people suffer but I do want to my own schemes."
Remembering the other world where he wreaked havoc, he felt an unprecedented rush for some reason. Using some of his energy, he opens a portal for a clone of himself to return to the other world. The portal closes in seconds, unnoticed by anyone, once his clone steps through. A twisted smile spreads across his face as he anticipates the chaos that will ensue.
"Well at least my clone will have fun."
(Out of his mind).
Toga: I'm going to cut you!
She runs right past Shigaraki and immediately goes straight towards Yusuke. Her body freezes as pain courses through her bloodstream. Her eyes widen as she looks at a teenager about her age, who is standing in a fighting stance.
Klaudia: I'd prefer to avoid a bloodbath, considering the Dark Orb King's tendency to kill instantly.
She gazes at Toga, manipulating her body and forcing her to return to Shigaraki.
Mochizuki: Did you saw that Ashbro?
He gazes at Ashton with a smirk.
Ashton: I'd appreciate it if you didn't use that term; I find it disrespectful.
He states it calmly, taking in the current situation.
Dabi: What the hell is going on?
He turns to Shigaraki, wondering what's happening.
Yusuke: It's because I killed that fake woman. A man. A disgusting man pretending to be a woman. It's disrespectful to all women.
He readies his scythe for a clean slice, but doesn't view Shigaraki or Toga as a threat, seeing them instead as mere pawns in someone else's plot.
Dabi: Fake woman? Wait you killed one of our comrades?
He gazes at Yusuke, his body begins to erupt in blue flames, signaling his preparation for battle.
However, in the blink of an eye, Dabi, Mochizuki and Ashton were teleported to a city for some reason. Anastasia was also there, along with a man with flames around his body, a hero named Endeavor, and a man in royal garments, the King of Orbpan, Heaven Orb King. A sign suddenly appears in front of Dabi and Mochizuki, revealing the deepest fears of their hearts: Dabi's fear of Endeavor and Mochizuki's fear of Heaven Orb King and Anastasia. Ashton's fear is also Heaven Orb King.
Dabi: Endeavor...
His eyes widened as he swiftly unleashed his blue flames, but his body was suddenly paralyzed by an unknown force.
Ashton: Don't bother remember about the morality behind this.
He regards him calmly, but can't help feeling the intense heat emanating from Mochizuki, particularly from the black flames.
Mochizuki: ...
He immediately went straight towards the Heaven Orb King without hesitation.
Dabi: How about you control your friend instead?
He immediately unleashes his blue flames, sending a torrent of infernal fire straight towards Endeavor, but in the same instant, he witnesses Endeavor's head being brutally severed from his body by the man in the royal garments, the sound of slicing flesh and the sight of blood spraying everywhere etched into his mind forever.
(In his mind).
"That guy one shot Endeavor?"
His eyes widened as he froze in his tracks, realizing that the person he had been trying to get the attention of was now gone forever.
(Out of his mind).
In the blink of an eye the sword from Heaven Orb King went towards Dabi but it was stopped by both Mochizuki and Ashton using their energies to protect Dabi from the sword. Even sword manage to pass through even by a little bit almost hitting Dabi in the chest.
