Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1046: A Way To Help?

Chapter 1046: A Way To Help?

Everything Zon had done, in this world and even in his own world, had been to chase down Red. To make him pay for the crimes and the carnage that he had committed, and Red was right in front of him.

With the new type of energy surrounding his body and suit, it was most likely that Zon would be in a far better situation to even take him down. However, due to the type of person Zon was, he was bound by something-his duty.

To help those that were willing to help him, to keep the promise he had made. He knew where Red was now, so he could deal with him. There would be another chance. Zon couldn't see Red going anywhere, or him being bested by anyone out there anytime soon.

"You believe he will lose. I thought you would have hope in your trusted warrior," Lince added.

"I don't judge on my feelings but based on what I have seen," Zon answered. "And regardless of that, there is always a chance someone can lose or win, and if I have a chance to increase the one that I wish to win, then I will have to act on that."

Zon glanced above him, where the fight was half of the time in the air. Raze was swinging his sword desperately once in a while using some of the Dark Edge Sword Arts. It appeared as if they were the only thing that was working.

Yet, Raze would get hit after displaying strong techniques, and he would bounce on the ground, and be hit up in the air. There was only so much one could take, and they wondered just how long he would take.

Elsewhere on the field, Beatrix had finally recovered enough to stand again. The pain that had been running through her stomach had somewhat disappeared, but regardless, it was the only time now they could get out of the area, so they had to move.

"We should go now. We don't know how long the Dark Magus can hold him back," Ricar claimed.

Up to this point, she was moving along with Ricar, but then suddenly stopped.

"What do you mean, do you think he'll lose?"

In some ways, she was saved by him, and she had made a promise to hand him the Golden Globe. If he died here, how was she even going to keep that promise?

"I don't know if he'll win or lose, but you have what he wants in your hands, so we have to move."

Beatrix wanted to stay; she felt like they should stay. They were all involved in this, and they were leaving it to one person who was their enemy in the past. The Light Faction being just, the Dark Faction and the Demonic Faction being the bad factions in the continent, this didn't feel like the actions of a clan that saw themselves as the example and above the others.

"Not just that, you have to remember that we have something else to worry about as well," Impress said. "Although that Red guy ran off, he could be anywhere in the jungle. He has to get off this island as well, and he had come with us. So do you know what that means?"

Beatrix didn't answer.

"It means that Red could be in the jungle. He could have just pretended and is waiting for us to enter and attack us, stealing the item at any point and time."

Hearing this, it was making Beatrix believe that staying was even more so the right choice, so she had made the decision.

"Then I will stay here," Beatrix said. "With the Golden Globe. I promised that I would hand it to him. In my mind, the item already belongs to him and I just have it for safekeeping. If this is where the Dark Magus falls, then it means it's where the items will fall as well."

Ricar was perplexed by the situation because he believed that even if Beatrix had these morals, the item falling into the hands of the maniac Mosak was possibly the worst outcome.

So what could he say to her to convince her she was making the wrong choice? Before he could even speak his mind, Impress had drawn her sword and pointed it right at Beatrix's neck. "You damn bitch, I will slit your throat right here and take that item from your hands. Hand that over to me now before you cause even more problems!" Impress demanded.

The large-scale fight had moved away from the original position, but for Zon, instead, he had moved closer to the original platform that the group was on. Lince had decided to stay close to Zon because he was interested in what he was doing and knew very well that he couldn't do much to help in the fight.

Zon walked around the platform, placing his hand on each of the edges, and then when he stood in the center, his arms started to light up. As they did, several small explosions went off around the edge of the platform, crumbling the ground.

Right after, the platform started to drop. It was falling back down, the same way they had come down the first time. They were going back to where they had just come out from, which had come as a big surprise to Lince.

They continued to fall further and further until the platform had crashed on the ground, and rubble spread out everywhere. The platform was no longer in working condition, that was for sure.

"It's a good thing I jumped at the last second before it hit the ground," Lince stated. "But why have you come back here? What did you see?"

"5324 power stones." Zon answered and lifted his hand, a red beam came out and blasted the power stones in one area. He stayed there for a few moments until more crystals started to shatter and fall. "5278 power stones are left. I'm going to get rid of them all."
