Speculating about the Incompetent Department’s statement on CDM’s disappearance:

Just confirmed as unauthorized absence, will be subject to pay cut (seems most likely)
It’s a real disappearance but not kidnapping, so everyone calm down
We also think it’s kidnapping lol. But didn’t CDM enjoy being kidnapped first? lol If he just followed our instructions, he wouldn’t get kidnapped lol. Not following them means he just enjoys being kidnapped lolol. Anyway, it’s CDM’s fault

It seems I had dozed off at some point while thinking about Cream, who must be missing me in the empty house. Thanks to the blackout curtains, I was able to sleep soundly without being woken by the morning sun. As a result, my condition was at its best.

How long has it been since I’ve had such a good sleep? It felt like I was finally being compensated for the past three months of working in the field without a proper day off. This is what a proper life should be like. Stretching contentedly, I checked the clock on the bedside table.

“10:48? I woke up quite early.”

Maybe it’s because the bed was excellent, but I felt refreshed even though I hadn’t slept that long compared to how overworked I had been. Humming a tune, I got up and headed for the door. Sa Hae-geon must have closed it; the door that had been open until I went to bed was now firmly shut.

I put my ear to the door, holding my breath to check on Sa Hae-geon’s movements. It was quiet outside. I couldn’t hear any living noises like TV sounds. How good must the soundproofing be… As I was furrowing my brow and concentrating, I faintly heard Sa Hae-geon’s footsteps.

The sound was getting closer, as if he was coming to the room I was in. I hurriedly returned to the bed, covered myself with the blanket, and tightly closed my eyes. It’s clear that dealing with Sa Hae-geon from the morning would be tiring, so I had to use this childish method to reduce the time spent together.

“Hyung, are you awake? I’m coming in.”

With a knock, the doorknob turned, and soon Sa Hae-geon entered the room. Why did he check if I was awake if he was going to come in without waiting for my answer? It was utterly ridiculous.

Muffling the sound of his slippers, Sa Hae-geon approached and sat on the edge of the bed without making a sound. His movements were so light that for a moment, I almost opened my eyes thinking it was Cream.

Sa Hae-geon continued to watch me without moving, literally motionless. Soon, I felt the bed tilt slightly and heard the sound of clothes brushing against the blanket.
