Chapter 5: Ranks?
As the MC put his hand into the crystal, wondering what his rank and class would be, the world seemed to stop. A familiar sensation he had felt thousands of times before washed over him.
**Time had stopped.**
An Angel?! Where? Having relived an event he had experienced before, he looked around, trying to find where the angel could be. He turned his head side to side, looked up to the sky, and even glanced at the hero of the sword's shoulder, as if someone might be sitting there. Yet, nothing was there. He was all alone in this frozen world.
Right before his eyes, as he saw nothing in his surroundings, he slowly turned his head back to the crystal. There, right in front of him, a red, blood-like status window appeared, welcoming him back.
---
**Welcome back, "Blood Emperor," to the Cultivator System.**
**Congratulations on becoming a Player.**
All previous restrictions have been lifted from the host.
When you entered this world's system, the system realized that you're existence is too strong to exist in the current era. Due to a large quantity of (??v???t?), the system had to create a solution to ensure a second Calamity would not happen.
Because of this, your reincarnation was stopped until all of it was transferred to another realm. As compensation for the restrictions placed on you, you will be given an option to choose:
---
**Option 1:** Have both the Level-Up System and the Cultivator System. With two systems taking root in your body, your growth rate will be split 50/50 between both systems.
**Option 2:** Forget the Cultivator System and gain one thing from it. You will only have the ability to level up.
---
The MC was silent for a few seconds before choosing one of the options. Option 1 seemed amazing at first, but knowing himself, he knew deep down that he was not talented at all. Sure, he was called the Blood Emperor in his past life, but he had never even managed to create an actual blood weapon back then. So, he chose **Option 2**.
Seeing that the system was telling him he could gain one thing from it, he decided to take a gamble and seize that chance. Besides, what he truly wanted was the growth rate in leveling up. Stats that go up every level up that one thing is something he truly want
If you were to compare him to others in his past life, his growth rate was only **0.050%**, while others had **20%**. While others gain all kind of abilities and create new way of use of their power, he was only able to create few technique he can use, even with this technique he had created it mostly a double edged sword that mostly harm him.
He was only considered the strongest because he was extremely cautious in his actions. The thing is i was a blood emperor and failed to even make a blood blade no matter how much i train for it
---
**Congratulations, Blood Emperor. You have chosen Option 2.**
With this, the Cultivator System shall disappear completely from you. You have gained one thing from removing the Cultivator System.
A blood tattoo has been engraved on your body.
**Effect:** Allows the host to use one ability from their past life with **1000% proficiency**.
**Use Amount:** 1 the moment the host stop using this ability the effect will be erase
---
Wait, what?! 1000% proficiency? Back then, I could barely use my abilities at 40%, and now I can use them with that much power?
Time shall now return. Once again, sorry for the inconveniences we have caused you. May you live a good life as a Player.
As time started to flow again, he calmed himself and returned to the moment of becoming a Player.
---
**Congratulations! You have now become a Player!**
---
**Status Window:**

As the status window appeared before everyone, all kinds of reactions filled the room.
A few students started talking:
"Coal? What kind of rank is that? Is this some kind of glitch?"
"Ha! He's even worse than Copper. What a loser!"
"Wait… Coal? I've never heard of that before. Is it even real?"
"An Archer? Seriously? That class was abandoned centuries ago! Even the weakest Mage is better than that."
"No wonder they got rid of it. Who would want to be stuck with such a useless class?"
---
Before anyone else could continue, a notice from the system appeared worldwide, visible to all Players—from the new generation to the elders who could no longer move. The message contained details about the ranks.
