Chapter 817: Catching the Celestial spirit I

Chapter 817: Catching the Celestial spirit I

Damien jumped at the sound of his voice and was speechless when he saw how his body was still buried underground, with only his head poking out to look around.

"Will you come out already?"

Enthrall narrowed his eyes, his mind racing as he conjured multiple scenarios where he was dying at the hands of Ceano.

"That guy is crazy. Tell me, Damien, can I still change sides? You know I don't want to suddenly die one day just because I was fighting beside Ceano and all of a sudden he needed strength and drained mine..."

He shuddered at the mere thought of it, and even Damien felt an icy chill because what he said could truly come to pass.

The first shadow general knew he would go crazy or his mind would become even more of a mess if he listened any longer to his nonsense. That's why he disappeared to find a quieter place to calm down.

Enthrall's head slowly sank back into the sealed land as he muttered curses. He had heard everything Ceano said while he was underground and felt a new wave of crisis.

One thing was now clear: he was never going to fight alongside Ceano! Or he knew he would die without even knowing!

"They're all crazy. I knew it bad people lack brain cells. Unfortunately, I'm one of them." He manipulated the earth and formed a massive underground castle in that very spot to rest and calm his racing mind.

That's how Enthrall, the fourth shadow general, disappeared, leaving no one with any idea of his whereabouts.

On the elven planet, Kyle shouted to the panicking elves beneath the Tree of Fate to gather together as he sensed the Celestial spirit surging from the depths of the land.

Jian, who was closest to him, appeared by his side upon hearing his agitated voice.

"What is going on? Why is the planet trembling? I can't sense anything!"

"Now's not the time! Gather the rest!"

Jian disappeared with a nod, and once again, Kyle's loud, deep voice resonated throughout the entire planet.

"There's a Celestial spirit deep within this planet! It's coming out for some reason! Hurry, close your ears and eyes; it has the power to manipulate minds!"

James's eyes widened at the sudden announcement. The people beside him all drew their weapons, ready for battle.

Hearing about the Celestial spirit, one of the transcendent-rank humans on his team suddenly remembered what he had heard in the restaurant when Kyle shared a great deal of information with them.

"A Celestial spirit... wasn't Kyle supposed to avoid its presence?! Azazeal will know!" James whipped his head to glare at him.

"Shut up! Don't jinx it! We can't even fight the Celestial spirit! If Azazeal showed up, could we even survive?"

The transcendent-rank human shut his mouth. But how could his silence change something that was bound to happen?

They all vanished, and alongside Alec, Asher trailed behind Jian before gathering behind Kyle's floating figure. The elven Queen, Wesley, Ronan, and all the other supreme-rank and powerful elves on the planet followed suit, prepared for battle.

All of a sudden, a profound stillness enveloped the entire planet, as if time itself had paused, broken by a melodic, calming voice that echoed across the vast expanse, capturing the attention of all those who could hear it and drawing them into a trance-like reverie.

Then, before multiple eyes, a colossal creature composed entirely of spiritual energy surged forth from the land. It didn't destroy anything; instead, it passed through the terrain, leaving a trail of ripples that danced like liquid light behind it.

Those who hadn't closed their eyes stared in a daze, spellbound by the formless figure, which was a manifestation of spirituality with shimmering, iridescent wings that appeared to radiate numerous colors.

A brilliant light emanated from the spirit, illuminating everything and enveloping the surroundings in a warm, golden glow. The air seemed to hum with a soothing energy that calmed everyone's hearts, and those watching felt an irresistible urge to move forward toward the formless entity made of light.

However, the serene atmosphere was shattered when Kyle slapped Jian, who had dared to float toward the spirit, causing the red-haired man to tumble down.

Jian hurriedly maintained his balance in mid-air, and cursed loudly.

"Who the hell dares!"

He shut his mouth when he saw the familiar tall, bronze-skinned man staring at him darkly. A

dry, nervous laugh escaped his lips as he rubbed his aching head.

"It's fine. It's fine. Thanks for helping me snap out of it in time."

This scene successfully snapped all those floating behind Kyle out of their daze. Ronan hissed

and looked away.

"Don't look at the spirit!"

Hearing his shout, everyone turned their gaze. Alec moved forward.

"How are we going to capture it-"

He swallowed his next words when he saw the spirit coming straight toward them.

"It's coming here! Move back and attack with your powerful skills!"

Instantly, everyone moved back, and Kyle hurriedly grabbed Jian's collar to hurl him toward the others before moving forward.

"Attack from a distance! I will catch it!"

His eyes glowed with a green hue as he drew a powerful binding array that only he could control through his celestial power in the air to capture the spirit. He tossed all the treasures he had just received from the elven Queen into the air without hesitation, and the array eagerly consumed them.

An icy smile lit up his face as he recalled how spirits similar to this one in the past had attempted to consume his celestial essence by manipulating his mind.

"I will ensure you become a part of my strength once we finish contacting the Celestial realm! Think of it as revenge!"

The Celestial spirit, which was surging toward him at full speed, slowed its pace when it sensed danger. It had been sleeping for a long time within this vast planet filled with spiritual energy, and because the roots of the Tree of Fate surrounded its formless shape, no one could

detect it.

However, it awakened upon sensing a powerful spiritual energy in a vast quantity that could only belong to a Celestial on the planet. At first, it wanted to remain dormant and wait for the right moment to approach the Celestial and absorb some of his power, but it could no longer wait when it sensed the Celestial seated calmly and replenishing his spent energy.

The enticing source of power before it was something it had not encountered in a long time. So, how could it let it slip away?
