After Das went outside the gathering hall, the woman who met him near the pond also left outside. That Lady's name is Isabella; she is the matriarch of the shadow clan and the mother of Serena.
Even though she is one of the major reasons in influencing Das to support the shadow clan, she stayed silent in the gathering hall while the males took the task of making a deal with Das. She completely left the task of selecting a candidate to send along with Das in the elder's hands and started walking towards her room, i.e., the patriarch's room.
Inside that room, Isabella's daughter Serena is still sobbing with heart wrenching pain. As the princess of the wealthiest family in the world, she always had whatever she wanted. But for the first time in her life, she encounters rejection. That too from a man, for whom she felt love and affection.
The mother, Lady Isabella, entered her opulent room, adorned with elegant furnishings and delicate tapestries that spoke of luxury and refinement. But as her eyes fell upon her daughter, Serena, she saw a heartbroken young woman wrapped in a white towel, her tear-stained face buried in her hands. Isabella's heart sank, and she swiftly moved to sit beside Serena on the floor.
"Serena, my darling, what happened? Why are you in such distress?" Isabella gently placed a comforting hand on her daughter's back.
Through her tears, Serena managed to utter, "Mother, I... I thought he was the one. The man who took me for the first time... rejected my marriage proposal."
With that one sentence, Isabella understood what happened in that room. Isabella's heart ached for her daughter, and she pulled Serena close, cradling her in a warm embrace. "Oh, my dear, I'm so sorry you're going through this pain. Rejection is never easy, especially when it involves matters of the heart."
As Serena sobbed, Isabella allowed her to express her emotions, knowing that sometimes the release of tears was the first step towards healing. After a while, Serena's cries subsided, and she looked up at her mother, her eyes filled with sadness and vulnerability.
"I feel so broken, Mother. I thought we had something special. Why did he refuse my proposal?" Serena asked, her voice trembling.
Isabella held her daughter's face gently in her hands, meeting her gaze with a mixture of tenderness and strength. "Sweetheart, relationships are a complicated journey, and sometimes the paths we envision don't align with the realities of life. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. People's feelings and circumstances can change, and it's not a reflection of your worth."
She continued, "This heartache is a part of growing and learning. It may not seem like it now, but it will make you stronger and wiser in the long run."
"But what if he never accepts me? What should I do then, Mother?"" Serena whispered, her vulnerability laid bare.
Isabella's eyes gleamed with unwavering support. "Now, my brave girl, it's time to pick yourself up and take charge of your life. If that young man really holds a special place in your heart, consider a different approach to winning him back, or perhaps find a way to be supportive of him in his endeavours, even from a distance.
Remember, relationships are not always straightforward, but with patience and perseverance, they can lead you to a close one."
She continued, "But, above all, never forget your own worth. Follow your heart, but also remember that you are the princess of the shadow clan. Your beauty is unmatched by any other girl's. The nobleness and elegance inside your body are natural and distinct to yourself. You are always a special girl, and any man would regret losing you.
Serena nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope ignite within her. "Thank you, Mother. Your words give me strength."
Isabella embraced her daughter once more, her love and support surrounding Serena like a protective shield. "You're welcome, my darling. Remember, I'll always be here for you, guiding you through life's challenges. You are not alone."
With her mother's empowering words and unwavering love, Serena felt a newfound sense of determination. As she faced the heartache and uncertainty of her situation, she knew that her mother's support would be her guiding light.
"By the way, did that young man give any reason to reject you?" Isabella asked while formulating a plan to place her daughter close to Das.
"I don't want to talk about it. He said I'm not even one percent of Eden. He also mentioned that he never thought of marrying me." Serena spoke in a complaining tone.
"Hmmhh… Maybe Eden helped him at the right time. That is why he held Eden in such high regard. But my daughter is a thousand percent better than Eden."

"Serena, I will make arrangements to send you along with that young man, to his house. If you really want to be with him, do whatever you can to get close to him. Don't forget that the resources in your hands are hundreds of times better than Eden's or any other girl's."
"Every man loves a woman who is loyal and supportive of him. So, you always have took care of his every need and stay close to him in all situations. As a mother, I can't say more than this to you." Isabella explained for a long time while helping Serena sit on the round bed, which is still releasing a pungent smell.
The patriarch of the shadow clan, who is also the father of Serena, stepped inside his room with a relieved look.
"Oh, you two are still here. What's the matter? Why is my baby looking sad?" The patriarch asked while caressing Serena's head.
"I'm sending Serena along with Das. Make appropriate preparations." Isabella spoke in a resolute tone.
"But the ancestor just announced that my brother's elder son to follow Das." The patriarch answered in a surprised tone.
"I said I want to send my daughter with Das. Open the treasury. I will give my daughter some gifts before leaving." Isabella spoke loudly without caring about her husband's statement.
