"Nooo…" Serena cried out suddenly in a frightened tone.

In a state of panic and distress, Serena awakened from that vivid and horrifying nightmare. Her heart is racing, and beads of sweat dot her forehead as she gasps for breath. The nightmare felt so real, as if she were reliving a nightmare within her dream.

In her dream, she saw Das, whom she had come to take care of, forcing himself upon her. The pain and fear in the dream were overwhelming, leaving her shaken and afraid even after waking up. Serena can't shake off the feeling of vulnerability and violation that the nightmare has left behind.

With tears in her eyes and her breath still ragged, Serena looks around to find herself in her own bed, safely away from the nightmare's clutches. To her relief, she realises that the nightmare was nothing but a terrifying illusion and that Das was not in her bed at all.

The sound of a soft glow illuminated the room, and she turned her head to see Das sitting on the king-size bed, engrossed in his mobile. The sight of him brings a mix of emotions—relief that he wasn't the cause of her nightmare, but also discomfort as she remembers the vivid imagery from her dream.

Das, who is engrossed in his mobile, turned his face and stared at Serena, who is looking at him with a bit of fear. In that pitch-dark room, his eyes were glowing a crimson red. For a second, Serena thought she was looking at a Devil.

Slowly, the people started gathering in Serena's room as everyone woke up to her loud cry. Eden, Red Rose, and Viper were the first ones to step inside the room, and the old ancestors, patriarch, and family members of the shadow clan followed.

"What happened? Is everything alright?" The lady ancestor sat beside Serena and started comforting her by holding her hands. Within seconds, the room turned bright, and people started looking for any interesting stuff.

The male ancestor of the shadow clan moved closer to Das, who still sat on the king-size bed with a mobile in his hands. With a serious face, Das is checking the pictures of the baby.

Even though Das is not responding to the calls and messages from Stella, she continued sending baby pictures.

"Ahhhrrr…" Taking a moment to compose himself, the old ancestor let out a subtle but distinct throat sound—a soft hum, resonating with a warmth that carries the weight of years of experience and knowledge.

It's a sound that has served as a call to attention for generations, a signal that transcends language and time.

But Das completely ignored the old man's signal and moved his fingers on the top of the mobile screen to dial a number. The old man felt awkward as he completely ignored his presence.

"Did you miss me?" Das asked Stella who lifted his call on the first ring. The tears of happiness started rolling down her cheeks after listening to his voice. Even though she couldn't talk, Das waited until she made a throat sound.

"Is everything alright? How is the baby?" Das asked calmly.

"Mmm…" Stella replied with a soft hum in the form of an approval.

"That's good, then. I will reach you soon. Take good care of everyone." Das said before disconnecting the call.

"Mmm… mmm…" Stella hurriedly called for Das to say something.

"What is it? Anything wrong at home?" Das asked after thinking for a bit. Stella sent a message while talking with Das on a loud speaker. After hearing the notification sound, Das turned the mobile screen to look at her message.

"Spies..." The chat box showed one single word.

Das immediately turned his face and looked at the old man who came to talk with him.

"Did you send any spies to my family?" Das asked the old man in a soft tone without showing any anger or raze. But the old man, who had years of experience, immediately understood the gravity of the situation. The old man turned his face to look at the patriarch, who deals with family issues.

"Sorry… sorry… They are not spies. I sent them to protect your family." The patriarch hurriedly replied after taking a step forward. Das stared at the patriarch for a second before answering the call.

"Stella, don't worry. I will be there as soon as possible. Until then, ask the Abdullah family to increase security." After giving a few more instructions, Das disconnected the call.

"I'm really sorry. I should have asked your permission before sending my troops there. But you are asleep. That's why I made the decision." The patriarch continued to explain as Das stared at him without saying anything.

"Do you think I'm an idiot?" Das asked after a long silence. All the family members were staring at the patriarch, who stood before Das with his head facing the floor.

"I asked you a question. Why are you not replying? Are you looking down on me?" Das asked in a loud tone without getting down from the bed.

Eden couldn't believe her eyes as Das treated the patriarch of the shadow clan like a servant. Before coming here, she only saw the kind and calculative Das, who only cares about his family's safety. But now Das is acting completely out of character.

"I did not send those people to cause any harm." The patriarch answered after a long pause.

"Hmmhh… You are really treating me like a naive person. I still remember how your family tried to kill me. For the last two days, all your family members have been discussing how to take out the snow python spirit from my body. One of your brothers even suggested trapping me in an energy shield prison."

"I'm giving you a last warning. If you ever dare to touch my family, I will kill every single member of your family with my own hands. Do you understand?" Das asked while staring at all the family members of the shadow clan.

"Do... you... understand?" Das asked again without showing any anger or rage.

"Yes, yes, I promise. We won't repeat this mistake." The patriarch answered in a stuttering tone.

The old ancestor of the shadow clan thought of convincing Das to become one of the shadow clan family members. But after seeing Das attitude, he did not understand how to proceed further.

"What are you all staring at? Get out." Das shouted loudly after seeing the scornful looks of the shadow clan family members.

"He is asking us to get out of their house. What audacity." Many of the Shadow Clan people thought this. But no one dared to voice their opinion.

The male ancestor turned his face and looked at his wife with a helpless look. She gestured to him to first take everyone out. The old man went outside with all family members without speaking another word.

After everyone went outside, only five women left before Das. The old ancestor of the shadow clan is helping Serena take her medications. Das ignored their presence and gestured for the three girls to come closer.

Eden, Red Rose, and Viper approached Das with a plain face. Das stared at their faces for a long time before saying anything.

"Thank you for protecting me, Eden. Whatever the reason, I forced you against your will. Are you feeling any hatred towards me?" Das asked Eden while staring into her eyes.

Even though he doesn't care about their feelings or opinions, Das wants to know Eden's opinion, as Eden kept her word about protecting him. That is why Das wants to know her answer before deciding his future plans.

Since the last two days, he has been listening to everyone while sleeping on the bed. He still remembered how Eden lashed out on the ancestor of the shadow clan for his sake.

"Das, as long as you help me take my revenge, I won't care even if you violate me a hundred times." Eden replied in a determined tone, without any ambiguity.

After thinking for a bit, Das turned his focus towards Red Rose, whom he had never had any contact with. He asked the same question of the red rose.

"No, I don't have any hatred for you. In all my life, I always wanted to be with a powerful person. You even dodged my bullet. So, I don't have any grievances." Red Rose replied with a straight face. After seeing the serious look on Das face, he was convinced by her honest reply.

After a bit of silence, Das focus turned towards Viper.

"Eden, wait for me outside. I want to talk with this girl alone." Das said without turning his gaze from Viper's face. Eden took a glance at Viper before leaving with red rose.

"I said I wanted to talk personally. Didn't you hear me?" Das shouted loudly as Serena and the old ancestor were still inside the room.
