Blonde Hair System in DxD

In a forested area where lots of trees were cut, there was a young boy that looked to be the age of 13 was with beautiful long golden hair tied in a braid, he was currently wearing a compression shirt that showed off his well built body, compression pants and shorts over it, he had his eyes closed and he had a katana on his left side and was in a quick draw stance.

Inhaling as much as he could, his muscles bulged and his eyes snapped open revealing a beautiful golden color that was intently focused on the object right in front of him, a small mountain or a large hill he didn't know, nor did he care. 

One moment, his hair slowly started to float up a bit and his Katana started to give off sparks of electricity, and the next he disappeared, leaving a hot glowing red trench in his wake.

"Thunder Breathing 1st Form: Thunderclap and Flash: Godspeed"

He reappeared behind the mountain sheathing his blade and the moment a click was heard, the top half of the mountain slid off the bottom half, causing it to fall and making a slight tremor in the area. 

The boy stood up straight, letting us see that he was 156 cm (5 '1), and looked back at the destruction he caused with a smile. 

"Hey you guys heard that?"

"Yeah It sounded like it came from over here!" 

"Let's go check it out." 

The boy's ear twitched a bit and his face went from smiling to panic, then his form flickered, disappearing as if he was never there.

~??? POV~ 

Entering his apartment I let out a sigh of relief, "Man, that was close, I almost got caught…next time Aether, pick a forest that's not just a few miles from your apartment."Going to my room to get a change of clothes, I entered the bathroom to take a bath. 

Looking in the mirror my reflection looked back at me. Yup, I looked like Aether from Genshin Impact from my last life. I also shared the same name as him, not that I minded seeing as the guy was quite handsome, though the long hair could get annoying. I tried to cut it but in a single week it would grow back back to the length it was, so I gave up cutting it. 

Getting into the bath I let out a sigh of content. Opening my eyes I turned to my system screen.

After looking at the options I immediately eliminated the Red Nichirin Katana, due to me having a sacred gear. 

My sacred Gear was much like Kiba's Sword Birth or Jeanne's Black Bladesmith, while theirs allowed the, to create Demonic and Holy sword respectively, mines allowed me to create any type of weapon I wanted, the only thing holding me back is imagination, however The stronger the weapon I create the more mana it will take to make it…and I didn't have that much, only able to create 'C' grade weapons for now.

Back to the list the next thing I rule out is Gaining all Thunder Breathing Forms as I didn't really need them, it's not because I'm lazy and don't wanna train any more new forms…definitely not.

The next thing to be ruled out was Enhance Physical Stats, since one I chose that last template and two the demon slayer mark could do that and more.

The next thing I ruled out is Enhance Hearing, since I don't know how Enhanced it would be, I'm pretty sure my hearing may be even better than most supernatural since I can even hear people's thoughts. Which left me with Transparent world, Demon Slayer Mark, and Enhance Swordsmanship.

After pondering for a minute I decided to go with the Demon slayer mark, since overall the Demon slayer mark enhances all physical aspects of the body. 

Mentally clicking on Demon Slayer Mark, I felt my body changing, my muscle's expanding before compacting, my eyesight become more and more clear and picking up the smallest details, my hearing picking up even the slightest of ripples in the water, my lungs expanding to taking in more oxygen, and my heart pounding even faster than before.

After that a quick tingling sensation was felt under my eyes before it disappeared. Getting out of the tub I walked over to the mirror to see the changes, only to not find much has changed. 

The only thing different is the fact that I have two little lightning zigzags just under my eye, funny they kinda looked like Kashimo's from Jujutsu Kaisen, and my eyes were glowing? Or that could've just been the lighting. Shrugging my shoulders I dried off, went to my room naked, since I lived by myself, and changed clothes. 

Sitting on the bed I brought up the system again and this time there was a different name.

Ahh…Nanami, the 7:3 sorcerer himself, Gege's 'Favorite'…We all know that's a lie. In all seriousness though, Nanami's cursed technique would be great with Thunder Breathing, with Ratio techniques power and Thunder Breathing's Speed… I almost feel bad for my future enemies, not to mention the weapons I will be able to create in the future… 

Shaking my head at the thought I chuckled to myself, "There you go Aether, don't get too overconfident." I say to myself, before heading towards the kitchen to fix myself something to eat. 

'But still…If I got Nanami's Template does that mean…' clenching my fist and thinking negative thoughts, a blue flame with black outline like energy coated it 'So I can use Cursed energy as well…nice. Maybe I can find a way to pull off a domain expansion with the Ratio Technique.' 

"Oh!" 

In front of me the progress went up 5% "Is this because I successfully used Cursed Energy?" I arrived at the kitchen. "Well anyways, I'll start training tomorrow!" 

Hyping myself up for tomorrow's training, I started to prepare my dinner for tonight.

After I finished cooking my dinner I took it up to my room. Japanese don't usually eat anywhere else other than the dining room, but since I live alone and am paying my own rent for this apartment, who's gonna stop me.

Turning on the TV I changed channels until I found something interesting, while eating my food 'Boring… Boring… Knock off version of Dragon Ball… Borin- what's this?' 

Turning the Tv up I hear something about the Highschool near me and one that i'm supposed to be going to next year, turning the Tv volume to hear what happened

[The current status of any survivors is still unknown… Students and Teachers of Ryoukuu High School while on a school trip had safely boarded…] 

The TV was showing a maritime video that was taken from the air. As if it was out of a movie, there was the majority of a luxury liner's hull sinking into the sea while giving off smoke, with the TV subtitles displayed

 "Mysterious Shipwreck of the Heavenly Aloha."

[Status of 233 high school students on board unknown, with no hope for the survivors!] 

Turning the TV off after hearing enough I let out a sigh

'This has Supernatural written all over it… Should I…?' Thinking if I should get involved or not 'I'm only the 3rd Template though, but Templates seem to progress faster through real combat rather than training and daily quests…'

I sighed, I really wished I could be one of those reincarnated fanfic protagonists that sees some shit happening and be like 'Nah, it has nothing to do with me' or only get involved because one of his favorite Waifu's is involved and then to their harem… 'God I hate my bleeding heart.'

"Alright, looks like Loyd's skills will be of use for a while." 

~Timeskip: 2 months~ 

~ Narrator POV~ 

It's been 2 months since The Mysterious shipwreck of the Heavenly Aloha incident, there was even a joint funeral put together for all the 'deceased' classmates. 

During the 2 months Aether hadn't been idle, going from supernatural hangout spot to supernatural hangout spot, fighting multiple stray devils, even attending the funeral to see if he could hopefully spot someone suspicious put in the crowd.

However, Aether was as close as he was to finding the students or whoever was behind it 2 months ago. 

'But that doesn't mean I didn't gain anything from it' Aether thought while looking at his system screen, while walking down the street eating an ice cream cone.

Yeah he had gotten to 80% progress. He was right, being in real battles allowed him to progress faster, he had spent the whole of last month learning to manipulate CE while, he spent this month using Nanami's CT, along with making the Overtime Binding vow. 

The template is not the only thing Aether made progress with though, he also made Progress with his sacred gear, being able to make 'B' Grade weapons, though he's only made Katana's seeing as how that's the only weapons he knows how to use. 

The sword he uses is only a 'B' Grade Lightning katana, that enhances his reflexes and speed.

"Hm?" 

Aether stopped in the middle of walking, feeling a disturbance of magic in a certain direction. Walking into an alleyway Aether's form flickered before it disappeared.

Tobio Ikuse was pushing people aside while running as if he were trying to get to something, he had a desperate yet hopeful look in his eyes, however the people he was bumping into didn't seem to notice, hell most of them didn't react to being bumped into.

As the sun went down, and the color of dusk deppened. Tobio was breathing heavily, as he chased after something.

Little by little he walked to an unpopulated area. As he advanced down the dimly lit road, the street became very quiet. At that moment, he spotted a figure entering a construction site area at the extreme of his vision. 

He gave chase, reaching the front of the building under construction. It was used for the construction of a condominium. The entrance to the construction site was strangely open, making it easy to gain entrance.

Tobio looked around to confirm that no one was looking, and stepped into the site. 

Since the light from the electric lamps wasn't meant to reach here, and because of that it was starting to get dark, visibility was very poor inside Tobio turned on the mobile flashlight and continued walking while on its light.

It was when he was rounding the corner he saw someone standing there. 

Tobio's eyes widened as he saw the figure standing there…menacingly. He seemed familiar with the figure, and that was proven when he gingerly called out the figure's name. 

"...Sasaki?" 

Despite being called, Sasaki continued defiantly standing there. Tobio began to feel worried about what was happening, he even began to wonder if he was conscious.

"Sasaki…are you okay?" Again, Tobio called out. 

Then the boy, Sasaki, turned back to face him. As his body turned back, the flashlight from his phone that had been shining on his back now lit up his eyes.

"…!?" 

Tobio let out a gasp as he froze in shock and fear. As from behind Sasaki, he could see something huge was chewing on something. That something noticed him, and began coming towards him. 

When it got closer Tobio could finally see what it was that was approaching him, it was a creature resembling a giant lizard, the mouth of the lizard was painted red with blood, the tongue emerging with a slurping sound as it stared at him curiously.

At that moment, something rolled over. Shakingly shining his light at it, there was the amputated head of a dog lying there. There were deep scars on the head, the skin around the eyeball on one side had been scraped away.

"HII!!!" 

Tobio released a small scream, wincing at the sight as the lizard began to once again chomping on the dog ignoring Tobio, and Tobio was reminded of the sound he had heard just earlier, which was the sound of the lizard chewing on the dog.

In front of him Sasaki remained standing there expressionless, staring at Tobio, his neck slightly inclined. The chest of his white shirt has been stained red by the spray of the dog's blood.

"Y-You…What are you doing?" Tobio, who was somehow able to squeeze out those words, was questioning the feeling of whether he was caught up in some sort of sick joke.

"…oun…d" 

Sasaki let out a sound, it was at a volume too low to hear unless you were focusing. 

The next moment Sasaki's usual emotionless face turned into an otherworldly crazed smile, his mouth open wide, his eyes narrowed, gazing at Tobio.

The lizard, which had still been eating the dog, halted its meal and approached. It is impossible to feel any emotion from those eyes, whose appearance was that of an animal which has cornered its prey.

Tobio felt his body go stiff and cold, that thing, which looked like Sasaki, slowly opened its mouth. 

"Do it."

Tobio heard what sounded like a ripping woosh of air, followed by a dull snapping sound from behind him. Slowly turning to face behind him, he found that the wood that had been propped up against the wall had been cut in half. 

Tobio heard an additional sound of wind and turned back. Where from the lizard's mouth a long slovenly tongue had extended wriggling sinuously like a tentacle. Something like that looked like saliva dripping from its tongue to the ground, at the tip of the tongue was a hard looking object like a claw.

Tobio felt something dripping down his cheek, and noticed that his cheek was cut from the Lizards attack. Tobio stumbled back in fear and shock, falling to the ground as he desperately tried to crawl away from this creature.

"…Found You…" 

The thing, Sasaki, said once more in that eerie tone of his. 

Tobio kept backing away in fear hoping to get away, until his body hit a wall. Feeling that his back was against the wall…literally, he looked around trying to find anything he could defend himself with.

Finding a steel pipe he picked it up and shakily aimed it at the Lizard. Said lizard, approached slowly. 

Tobio reached his hands in his pocket to find something, anything that could distract the lizard and allow him to escape. Feeling something he pulled out his hands, seeing coins that he had got at the arcade. 

Tobio threw the coins at the lizard, hitting its tongue causing it to hiss. Tobio, seeing this as a chance, tried to run towards the exit, but before he could he saw that the tongue was already headed to him, and he was too slow to move.

'Is this it?…Is this how I die?'

However just as the tongue was about to hit him his world blurred, and al, he could see was a flash of yellow.

"Jeez, you led me on a goose chase…goose chase? Goose hunt? Did I say that right?" 

Tobio was confused, one moment he was about to die the next, his vision blurred and all he could see was a flash of gold, and now someone was talking to him, and from the way it sounded he was a kid. 

"I'm not a kid!" 

Had he said that out loud? Surely not, unless this kid could read minds. 

"Not reading your mind, more like hearing your thoughts, and again not a kid." 

Isn't that the same thing though, Tobio ignored the second part. 

"It's not! Ahem, I'm Aether, no last name, I remember seeing you at the funeral and I have some questions for you." 

The kid…er Aether said, and finally Tobio's vision began to clear from the whiplash. In front of him was that of a young boy around the age of 12-13 with long golden blond hair done in a braid, and beautiful golden eyes…

'Yup, definitely a kid.' 

~ Aether POV ~ 

I felt my eyebrow twitch in annoyance. 'This guy…' After leading me onto that wild goose hunt, I still don't know if I'm saying it right. I finally find him, save his ass from the lizard monster, and he goes and calls me a kid.

"Look, do you know anything about the student's disappearance from the 'Shipwreck' incident?" I asked impatiently, causing the guy to stop staring at me and shook his head no. 

I sighed and was about to just kill the lizard monster and leave before the guy spoke again 

"I might not know anything, but he might." He said pointing at the other guy who was standing behind the lizard, "After all he's one of them…one of the students that disappeared." 

After he said that I spun around so quick that HE might have gotten whiplash from it "You serious?" Tobio startled a bit, nodded…I couldn't hold my happiness at that 

"YES! YES! YES! Do you know after these 2 months of searching for something, anything I came up with Absolutely nothing! And now after 2 months I finally found something! And it's something big too! Man is this how detectives feel when they have a breakthrough? This feels good."

I could feel 3 sets of eyes on me staring at me weirdly, yet I didn't care. I was too happy to care. 

"Alright…whatever your name is. I'm gonna deal with the lizard. You stay back." I said as I walked off to quickly take the lizard down but was stopped by the guy I saved.

"Tobio." 

"Hm?" Turning back to look at the guy I had saved I see him staring at me straight in the eyes

"That's my name, Tobio Ikuse." 

"Tobio Ikuse…alright Tobio stay back while I deal with that lizard." I say resuming my walk towards the lizard when I was interrupted by Tobio again "Are you sure you can beat that thing?!" 

Not even looking back I waved him off "Yeah it'll be quick and easy just watch." 

Creating a regular Katana in my hand I imbued it with CE before looking at the lizard that was staring at me warily. The dude that was standing behind the lizard stared at me before commanding the lizard monster to attack, which it did.

Using Nanami's technique a line formed on the lizard's neck and from there I could see its weak point. I didn't wait for it to attack or get any closer as I attacked with great speed, slicing the lizard's weak point, effectively taking its head from its body. 

Looking back at Tobio who looked confused and then his face changed to shock, I gave him a thumbs up and a wink. Looking at the other guy who was just standing there, I was about to approach but a magic circle glowed under both the boy and the lizard's body which I was right next to. 

Knowing that it may be a teleporting circle I jumped up just in time as both the boy and the body disappeared in a bright flash of white. 

Landing back on the ground I looked around trying to see if anyone else had appeared but seeing no one I slumped to the floor in sadness. Tobio seeing me slump to the ground rushed over in worry. "…My evidence is gone…" 

Tobio sweatdropped.

"How did you do that? One moment you were in front of the lizard and the next you were behind it and its head had fallen off?" He asked, and I sighed before standing up brushing off the dust from my school pants. "Hard work and dedication Tobio… hard work and dedication." 

"You have no intention of answering do you?" Tobio asked straight faced with a comically large sweatdrop on his head. 

"Nope~! Now that, that's out of the way." Looking over at of one of the pillars in the construction site I called out "You can come out now."

From behind the pillar a girl stepped out, she is a beautiful young woman with light brown hair that is tied up. She has a slim and voluptuous figure, with her rather large breast being concealed by her clothes, she also had a bird on her shoulder.

While I was just looking at her admiring her beauty, Tobio was alarmed "Who are you?!"

The girl smirked before looking at me, while I quickly looked away trying to not get caught because I was staring 'Did she see me staring?' 

"Ahem I am Minugawa Natsume, a Ryuukou second year survivor, just like you Ikuse." She said before going into her backpack to fish something out. "Well, saying we're survivors is a bit strange, but for now…Here!" 

She handed Tobio an egg "My job was to give you this so, here!" 

Before Tobio could take the egg I pulled him back "Wait Tobio! How do we know that we can trust this hot lady?" Tobio just sweatdropped while said hot lady blushed a bit before gaining a tick mark on her head.

"What do I gain by tricking the both of you, if I wanted I could've done something when you were fighting that lizard!" She yelled.

"Yeah right, like you could do anything to me in the first place. I would've laid you out 0.5 seconds flat." Was my response to which her tick mark got even bigger and a vein started to appear on her forehead. 

"Listen here you little shi-…" she stopped, taking a few deep breaths 'Calm down Natsume he's just a ki-'

"Not a kid." 

I was ignored as she turned back to Tobio with a strained smile "Anyway, you better take good care of that egg. Because you'll die without it."

I narrowed my eyes, dying if he didn't have the egg? What did that mean? It seemed that Tobios to shared my confusion 

"We'll talk more at your place. And you!" She yelled pointing at me.

"Me?" Pointing at myself I asked.

"Yes you! We'll talk as well. I have questions for you!" I waved her off with a dismissive wave "Yeah Yeah, I got it." She looked like she wanted to say more but scoffed and left. 

Tobio came near me and whispered "She's quite rude isn't she?" Looking at him with a raised eyebrow "Yeah, but…she's hot, so it's forgiven. Anyway, let's go." I said as I started walking off.

Tobio looked confused "Huh? Go? Go where?" Looking back at him like he was slow I pointed out the obvious "Whatever happened to your classmates obviously changed them and it seems that they will be coming after you next, so I can't really leave you alone without any protection now can I? So we'll be going to my apartment, since I don't feel comfortable sleeping anywhere other than my bed."

I continued my walk with Tobio falling into step. 

It was silent before Tobio posed a question "Hey can I ask you something?"

Not even turning to him "Shoot." 

"Why are you helping? From the uniform you have on, you're in junior high, this has nothing to do with you, yet you're helping…why?"

"Awfully bold of you to assume that i'm not involved, maybe a sibling or a cousin was involved." 

"O-Oh i'm sorry-!"

Chuckling I put my hands behind my head letting it rest "Relax, I was joking. As for why I'm helping? Does there always have to be a reason for helping people?" 

Tobio looked ahead, pondering before speaking "No I supposed not." 

Smiling, I closed my eyes enjoying the night air. "Exactly, I don't see why I need a reason to help, plus it feels nice to help once in a while." 

"I see…are you really a kid?" 

"I'm gonna punch you." 

~Timeskip~ 

After we got back to my apartment we ordered take out, and after that Tobio immediately went to sleep. Now here I am sitting on my bed looking at the system screen

'So it went up one percent, huh… the progression has slowed compared to last month and earlier this month… Well I have time before the canon of DxD starts, I'm not in that much of a hurry.' 

(A/N: He doesn't know about Team/Slashdog.) 

Yawning and closing the system screen he laid down and closed his eyes however.

Aether's eyes snapped open and he quickly got out of the bed when something burst through his window from outside creating a large hole where his window used to be.

A large dragonfly-like monster with a human head came through however before it could get its full body in, Aether had punched it with a CE reinforced fist sending it flying. 

Sticking half his body out of the to see where the Dragonfly-like monster went his eyes widened as he fully jumped out of the hole just in time for another monster, this time with a praying mantis-like body punched right where the upper part of his body just was. 

Landing on an unfinished store building nearby, Aether looked to see that much like the dragonfly monster the praying mantis- like monster had a human head. 

However, just before he could fully contemplate what the hell was happening the building under him began to shake, causing his eyes to widen before narrowing. 

Jumping high in the air just as a large worm like creature with half of a human female body came burrowing out from the ground right beneath him. However, the worm didn't stop as its body extended before swallowing him whole. 

Nothing happened for a while, until. In a flash of yellow the worm was cut in half from the inside, and from the inside appeared Aether who was still in the air. 

As he was falling his keen hearing heard flapping, turning around Aether saw the dragon-fly creature, but it wasn't alone as it was carrying the praying mantis monster headed straight at him at full speed. 

And with no to dodge or counter Aether put up his guard and blocked the punch from the praying mantis sending him flying through multiple buildings.

Skidding to a stop on one of the smaller buildings' roofs, he looked up and saw that the dragonfly and praying mantis were flying at him again at full speed, but this time he was ready. 

Sheathing his katan and getting in his quick draw stance, Aether waited for the right moment to take both of them out in one swing of his sword.

Inhaling deeply Lightning started to appear around his form causing his hair to flow up a bit and his eyes and demon slayer mark glowing, using Nanami's Technique to its absolute limit, he waited until.

"Thunder Breathing First Form: Thunder clap and Flash"

Disappearing in a streak of lightning he appeared in front of the unsuspecting creature duo spinning like a saw cleaved through both of them easily.

Sighing I looked back to my apartment feeling more mana signatures there before disappearing in a streak of lightning once more.

~ Aether POV ~

Appearing back in my room in no time I quickly ran towards the guest room where Tobio is and saw that the monsters were gone and all that remained was Tobio and the Hot girl Natsume. 

"Just what the hell is going on."

They both looked at me with varying expressions. Tobio's being a bit guilty probably due to my apartment being attacked and trashed. And Natsume in shock, probably from seeing the scratches And Bruises I got from being hit by a super powered praying mantis and flying through multiple buildings. 

"They attacked you too?" She asked in shock.

 "Yeah, I destroyed my wall and all. Now it seems like YOU owe us some explanations." Narrowing my eyes at her she started fidgeting before letting out a nervous chuckle.
