"He's weak," Akeru blurted out.

He noticed that the man was at the third-fourth class intermediate knight level.

"Indeed, that's why I brought you both to gain some experience," Kirsch said while shaking his head.

The masked man had also noticed them and immediately became alert upon seeing a magic knight.

However, before he could act, cherry blossoms attacked him, forcing him to jump out of the caravan.

Instead of pursuing him, the cherry blossoms broke through the caravan and the cages inside, freeing all the children present.

The petals also grabbed them and deposited them in another location to avoid taking chances in case the lower part of the caravan was rigged with explosives.

This all occurred within three seconds.

The masked man instantly realized he couldn't win, as he hadn't even seen the cherry blossoms moving.

So, he did the only reasonable thing in his situation.

He ran.

However, before he could properly accelerate to his full speed, a water ball struck his leg, making him stumble and fall face-first onto the ground.

Due to his momentum, he skidded several meters across the ground.

"Mimosa, you take him on," Akeru said, having deduced that Kirsch wanted his sister to gain experience.

"What? I mean, I don't even know many proper attack spells," Mimosa said instinctively.

"Hmm, couldn't you just damage the other person while healing them, like the reverse of healing?" Akeru asked curiously.

"I'm not at that level yet."

"Oh, it doesn't matter. You still have some attack spells, right?" Akeru persisted.

Since he wouldn't be in Golden Dawn in the future, he could at least make his friend stronger, as he didn't really expect the future to follow canon due to the butterfly effect.

Mimosa looked to her elder brother for help.

Unfortunately for her, she asked the wrong person, as her brother had orchestrated this situation in the first place.

"I am also interested in seeing your beauty in battle. I hope you can be at least half as beautiful as me," Kirsch said, causing Mimosa's hopes of avoiding battle to vanish.

Before she could say anything more, she found herself approximately 100 meters away from the masked man, who had now risen to his feet.

"You! If you can defeat her, we will let you leave," Akeru called to the masked man.

Everyone knew he was lying, but the masked man had no choice but to hope.

Perhaps he might get an opportunity to take her hostage during the battle. Even though the chance was slim, this was his only option.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't know that two vice-captain-level individuals were nearby.

Even ignoring that, Akeru was within range to cast his mana zone instantly in case some other party suddenly appeared and decided to interfere.

He wouldn't take any chances.

"Girl, unfortunately, I must battle you, but you should understand that my hands are tied," the man said as his grimoire began floating.

"No need to feel regretful. We would still be on opposite sides in any setting we meet due to your actions," Mimosa replied as her grimoire floated.

Just because she disliked fighting and lacked experience didn't mean she couldn't hurt others.

She wouldn't hesitate, especially since the man had kidnapped children and kept them caged like slaves.

This was clearly beneath her moral standards.

'Magic Flower Guidepost'

A plant suddenly materialized before Mimosa and displayed a hologram.

"Is that so? Very well," the masked man decided further dialogue would be pointless.

Actions speak louder than words.

A red armour began covering the masked man's body.

'Armor Magic: Red Orc's Mercy'

'Plant Magic: Magic Cannon Flower'

Multiple vines appeared behind Mimosa and began coalescing into a massive flower.

The flower's center was glowing.

On the opposite side, the man's body was fully covered in crimson armor, with an excessive amount concentrated on his fists, enlarging them significantly.

The girl who was surrounded by plants, and the man in red stared at each other.

The man rushed at Mimosa in the next instant at blinding speeds.

However, he was blasted with mana from the plant directly in his face and thrown backward like a ragdoll.

'He's too fast for me to track with just my eyes, and his armor didn't even dent from that attack. How troublesome,' Mimosa analyzed as she glanced at the guidepost.

'Still Spectator'

Time slowed down as Akeru felt his focus reaching the next level.

'Though his armor appears very tough defensively, I could have killed him multiple times before it fully covered him,' he instantly analyzed all the weak points and structure of the armor.

'Also, there's that too. I didn't even notice them with my mana sensing.'

He deactivated his spell in the next instant.

'That took less than a second, yet consumed so much mana. This spell would be a dream if I didn't have mana method,' Akeru cursed at his spell's mana consumption.

'Still, I would have been able to defeat him easily even when I was 13 years old, before he got his armor on, though things would be different if he had the armor.'

The man skidded across the ground but vanished again in the next instant, appearing above the large plant with his massive fists pulled back.

THUMP.

The plant became pulp with just one strike.

While airborne, the man released mana from his foot and rushed at Mimosa from behind.

However, before he could reach her, thorned vines appeared before his fist.

Their sheer number managed to halt his momentum.

The man landed and rushed backwards.

He saw a cradle of vines surrounding Mimosa.

These vines were not only thicker than those he had encountered previously but also covered in thorns.

They began rotating at very high speeds.

'Plant Magic: Last Fortress' This was currently Mimosa's best defensive spell.

She had been able to create it with relative ease in the past week.

It was derived from 'Dream Healing Flower Basket' as a base but focused on defense.

The rotating aspect was inspired by Seraph's shell, which she had seen in action multiple times.

The man in red decided to probe the defense with ranged attacks first.

A blue beam of concentrated energy burst from his hand, rushing at Mimosa's basket at blinding speed before crashing against it.

However, the cradle of thick vines continued rotating, having withstood the attack.

The man, who was no scientist, attacked with multiple blue beams coming from his arms, but they failed to penetrate its defenses.

'It seems I'll have to try brute force,' he thought.

However, Mimosa hadn't been idle while under attack. Several vines appeared with a large flower.

All of them fired powerful concentrated beams at the armored man.

The yellow concentrated beams collided with the blue beams.

BOOM

'I need to somehow find a way through that defense,' the man thought.

In the next instant, a blue energy beam erupted from his foot, propelling him skyward.

'Interesting. That blue energy isn't mana. Does this mean his magic relates to energy? But I'm certain it's armor-related. Perhaps the energy aspect is secondary?' Akeru observed.

The armored masked man reached a considerable height.

The yellow beams from the plants were now easily dodged due to the significant height difference.

Suddenly, the man's enormous fists, containing most of the metal, began rotating like drills.

With an energy blast, he rushed toward the rotating plant shield at full speed.

CLANG

Red clashed with green.

'This is a tough defense,' he thought grimly.

However, he suddenly found the dome breaking like paper as he penetrated inside.

Due to the unexpected motion, he couldn't adjust himself and crashed into the ground, his arms embedded in it.

Mimosa finally looked away from the holographic battlefield display.

She had been using it to detect his presence throughout.

This was only the second time she had actually seen the man during the entire battle.

The man pulled his drill-like fists from the ground and pointed them at Mimosa.

However, before he could move, he found himself unable to move his body.

"You really have strong magic," Mimosa suddenly said.

"Unfortunately, you got the wrong opponent."
