A sudden wave of information surged into Lucius's mind. He frozen momentarily.
He clenched the edge of the table as the knowledge appeared in his mind. Every step of evolving a Flame Bear played out in perfect clarity.

Lucius approached the Evolution Essence Maker that was put beside the table. He looked at it and realized that it was a bit bigger and better than his own in his golden residence.

He begean selecting the flame element materials. He carefully measured each one according to the recipe in his mind.
He placed the molten rock shards to the chamber, followed by the flame core and flame herbs.
He closed the chamber lid and pressed the execution button on the side of the machine.
The Evolution Essence Maker came to life with a low hum. The materials inside began to dissolve, their fiery energy merging into a swirling vortex.
The Vice Headmaster observed from a distance and folded his arms. He tilted his head and smirked.
"Interesting. He's using the advanced machine with an efficiency I've rarely seen. Most candidates struggle with the balance."
Lucius smirked as the machine emitted a faint chime. The energy merged into a liquid that was put inside the prepared vial, which emerged from the chamber's dispenser.
He took it with care and inspected the vial. He smirked as he looked at the 4-Star Evolution Essence that shimmered like lava. "Perfect."
Lucius turned toward the flame bear's cage. He held the vial up for the beast to see. Lucius smirked as he approached the cage.
He put it inside the cage. "Drink this. This is the essence that will help you evolve to the next stage."
The flame bear smelled the essence and knew that it was good for him. The flame bear immediately opened its jaws and ate the vial directly.
The flame bear crushed the vial in his mouth and let the essence entered its body. The bear roared and shook the cage as the evolution energy appeared on its body.
The flame bear's veins began to become redder as flame energy travelled along them. The bear's muscles also tensed and its fur glowed red as its form began to shift.
Lucius stepped back and smirked. He extended both hands and tried to control the evolution energy inside the flame bear.

Inside the cocoon of flames, the bear's form grew larger. Its fur became redder. Flame energy coated its full body. The fiery cocoon began to disappear, revealing the new 4-Star Flame Bear.
Lucius turned to the Vice Headmaster and smirked. "How's that for results?"
The Vice Headmaster stepped forward. He looked at the evolved beast. After a long moment, he nodded.
"Exceptional work. The energy was perfectly controlled, and the Flame Bear's evolution is flawless."
Lucius smirked. He dusted his hands off and looked at the vice headmaster. "Good. Shall we move on to the next phase?"
The Vice Headmaster smirked and folded his arms. "You have passed the Evolist test. But as an Evolist, you must also demonstrate your ability to fight."
Lucius raised his eyebrow as he was surprised. "Fight? What exactly do you mean?"
The Vice Headmaster gestured toward the newly evolved 4-Star Flame Bear. "Defeat the Flame Bear that you just evolved using your abilities.
Lucius tilted his head. He looked at the vice headmaster. His voice was laced with sarcasm. "When you say 'my abilities,' are you referring to everything I can use?"
The Vice Headmaster nodded. "Of course. Use whatever is at your disposal. Show me how you, as an Evolist, handle a situation like this."
Lucius chuckled. "I suppose that I should tell you this. I'm one of the rare, 'lucky' individuals who awakened with the None talent."
The Vice Headmaster was surprised after hearing it. He glared at Lucius closer. "None? If you have no talent, how have you risen to the level of a 4-Star Evolist?"
He then reminded him again. "Those with none talent cannot cultivate or raise their levels without taming beasts."
Lucius was amused. He clasped his hands behind his back and smirked. "I understand your confusion. It does sound impossible, doesn't it?"
He glanced at the vice headmaster. "Let's just say I happened upon a rather unique potion—one that allowed me to cultivate without the need to tame beasts."
The vice headmaster frowned after hearing it. He never knew or even heard a potion that could do this. He now didn't know what to do.
