Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties

Chapter 114: Lifeless Treasury

Luna's smirk deepened as she looked at Dorian's pale and shocked face. She tilted her head and mocked him. "So you do remember me, Dorian. I was beginning to think you'd forgotten."

She slowly stepped forward and leaned her body. She glanced at him and sneered. "Look at you now—so pathetic. How fitting for the Garran family."

Dorian's shock quickly transformed into rage. He glanced back at Luna. "What the hell are you doing here, Sadrina? Shouldn't you be off somewhere groveling with your pathetic master?"

Luna's smirk widened. She slowly shook her head. "Dorian... Let me remind you once more. My name is no longer Sadrina. I am Luna now."

She crossed her arms. "And as for why I'm here... you could say that I wanted a front-row seat to witness the destruction of the Garran family."

Dorian's brow furrowed. He had realized something from Luna's words. "This chaos... could it be? Is this because of your pathetic master, Lucius?"

Luna chuckled and gestured at the carnage around them. "Of course it is. This... all of this... is his work. Your downfall was inevitable the moment you crossed him."

Dorian became angry and bared his teeth. "I'll kill you for this! Your Master and you! I'll make you regret crossing me!"

Dorian was now trying to get up and killed Luna. Unfortunately, he was already weakened by the battle with 02.

Luna was unimpressed. She turned toward Loxen. "Loxen. Silence him. I've heard enough from this pathetic fool."

Loxen growled as it locked onto Dorian. Without hesitation, it lunged forward. Dorian barely had time to raise his arms in defense before the Panther's jaws clamped down on his head.

Dorian's untransformed face was easily crushed by Loxen. Blood and brain matter were splattered around the room. Dorian's corpse fell down to the floor.

Luna sighed. She stepped over Dorian's corpse without a second glance. "How anticlimactic."

She turned her attention to the lifeless body of 02. She crouched down to look at his unique clothes.

She thought for a moment. "I don't know who you are, but judging by your strength... and these clothes... you're not from around here, are you?"

Luna also reached out to his cloth and found a strange emblem on his chest. She didn't know what kind of emblem this was.

She stood and sighed. "Too bad that you're dead. I could've gotten some answers from you. Oh well."

Luna turned her gaze toward the estate. She smirked as she rubbed Loxen's head. "But your friend... he's still here, isn't he?"

Luna rode Loxen and smirked. "Let's go find him." Loxen growled as he moved deeper toward the estate to find the mysterious 01.

---

01 moved swiftly through corridors of the Garran estate. He stopped and glanced at the big door with a smirk.

His right hand then became a dark tiger claw and with it he swiped the big door and opened up.

01 stepped aside. He could see numerous treasures, but he paid them no mind. His target was something that was placed deeper.

He rushed forward, ignoring the treasures around him. Yet as he ventured deeper, he was quite shocked.

The once-glittering treasures gave way to barren shelves and empty pedestals. "What is this?"

He looked at the nearby shelves and found out that the mana stones were dull and lifeless. Their energy had been completely drained.

He suddenly realized something. He moved deeper into the vault and examined more materials. Each one of them was lifeless.

He was in anger, seeing the situation as he clenched his fist. "How the hell can this happen?"

And then he found it. The target material that he needed to get. It was a scale, a legendary material he had been sent to retrieve.

But the moment he looked at it, he stopped. He took it and froze. The scale was... wrong. "This can't be..."

The scale should have been red, but now it was pale and dull. It was devoid of any energy. It also felt so light, as if it were only a shell.

01's grip tightened around the scale. "It's white and dead. How can this be?!"

He still stared at the lifeless material. The scale was supposed to be one of the legendary items he needed to get. And yet now, it felt like nothing more than a meaningless trinket.

He stood motionless. He then remembered about the chaos and soon realized it. "Someone's been here. Someone's already taken everything—everything."

Unknown to 01, Lucius, the mastermind of this devastation, used his Beast Hacker System to drain the vault dry, consuming every ounce of energy from the materials and even the scale itself.

01's eyes burned with fury as he lowered the scale. "Whoever committed this will face severe consequences."

He turned around in anger. He clenched his fist tightly as he rushed toward the exit. "This isn't over."

But the question burned in 01's mind—who had the power to outplay him so thoroughly? And what were they planning next?

---

01 moved swiftly through the estate. He had to find 02—retrieve him and get out before things spiraled further out of control.

But as he entered the courtyard, his steps faltered. His sharp eyes landed on a body lying across the ground. "No..."

The body was unmistakable—dressed in the same black cloak and insignia as him. It was 02.

His head had been crushed, the lifeless corpse lying in a pool of blood. The sight made 01 clench his fists tightly.

He crouched down and inspected the body. "Even in death, you look ready for battle. But how? Who could have done this... so effortlessly?"

Nearby, another body caught his attention. It was Dorian. His head, too, had been crushed. 01 rose slowly. He had just realized something. "The mastermind..."

His gaze flicked between the two bodies. His instincts were screaming. The situation had changed. "They're still here."

Suddenly, a soft mocking voice appeared. "So, you made it out of the Treasury."

01 spun, trying to search for the people responsible for this. "Who's there?!"
