In the world of Dragon Ball,
long before the events we know, there was a planet called Sarada. This was the true home of the Saiyans, not Planet Vegeta.
Planet Vegeta didn't even exist yet! In this faraway time, there was a planet named Plant, home to a peaceful race called the Tuffles. The Saiyans had not conquered it yet, but they would in the future.
At this time, Saiyans were just starting to rise as powerful warriors. This was because of one person. No one knew who he was or where he came from. He didn't belong to this era or even this universe! But his actions would change everything.
On Planet Sarada, in the very center, stood a grand palace. This was the King's Palace, a magnificent structure where only the Saiyan King and his family lived. It was a symbol of strength and pride for all Saiyans. The throne room, at the heart of the palace, was a sacred place. Only the most honored Saiyans could enter. The throne itself represented ultimate power.
Sitting on that throne was a man with wild, spiky hair, almost like a crab's pincers. His face looked just like Goku's, but his expression was serious and commanding. This was the Saiyan King—a warrior who had led his people to glory step by step, making the Saiyans famous across the galaxy.
This king was Bardock, the father of Kakarot, who would one day become the strongest Saiyan of all time.
At this moment, the throne room was empty except for Bardock. He sat silently, his sharp eyes filled with determination.
Before I knew it, 50 years had passed since I came to this past world of Dragon Ball. Now, standing at the pinnacle of this galaxy—no, the universe—I couldn't help but sigh as I sat in the empty palace throne room. Bardock, the King of Saiyans, looked around the quiet space. Every time he was alone like this, it was the only time he could truly relax, reflect, and plan.
This grand palace, the throne room, everything around him—it was all created by his own hands. Yet, strangely, it no longer brought him joy. Back when he was building his empire, each step was thrilling. The excitement of creating something new gave him purpose. But now? Now it all felt dull. The gap between the past and present was too big, and over the years, Bardock had grown numb.
"As intelligent beings, we get used to everything we achieve," he muttered to himself. "Once we have it, it's no longer exciting. Life becomes boring."
Bardock stood up from his throne, stretched his powerful body, and began walking down the hall. He stepped out of the palace into the vast expanse of Planet Sadala, the Saiyans' true home. Under his leadership, Sadala was nothing like it used to be. It was now far larger, more prosperous, and advanced beyond the Saiyans of the original timeline. Science and technology had flourished, and the Saiyans were free—free to be their own masters.
No Frieza. No Frost Demons. No one ruling over them.
Still, even after all this, Bardock felt a pang of sadness. "Even though I've come this far, I can't go back. The future isn't my future anymore. This era holds no challenges for me," he whispered to himself.
Memories of his previous life drifted back into his mind. A life before Dragon Ball. A life before he was transported into this world. Yes, this was an isekai—a second life in the Dragon Ball universe. In his previous life, his name had been Akira Toriyama.
Not that Akira Toriyama—the creator of Dragon Ball—but someone who just happened to share his name.
Bardock chuckled at the irony. "Guess fate has a sense of humor after all," he said with a smirk.
