Chapter 662: Self-Created Ability, Annihilation Realm King's Fist!
Since being repeatedly strengthened by a massive amount of soul power, and further tempered by the blessing power accumulated over a thousand years from the Will of Hell, Sterl's body had broken through some kind of limit.
His terrifying vitality and bodily resilience allowed his strength to continually condense and accumulate, without any sign of ceasing. His powerful soul granted him an exceptional level of insight, allowing him to continuously gain new realizations. Each new understanding merged with his existing abilities, fueling ever more powerful destructive forces.
Now, Sterl was like an atom that kept splitting, with each split exponentially expanding his strength.
The powers created by these splits were then reintegrated within him, forming a shape akin to nuclear fusion.
This was the new realization Sterl had gained from the Fission Law. In his view, no matter how powerful a creature was, it could always be divided into soul and body—both were essential and inseparable.
All power was born from the union of soul and body.
Since this was the case, as the fundamental source of all power, the soul and body were the true sources of strength. Law should not be used alone to manipulate the forces of the heavens and earth. Instead, it should be used to reinforce oneself, to merge with oneself, and to unlock the terrifying power hidden within one's own body.
Now, Sterl was focusing on using his powerful body as the foundation, continually condensing his strength and digging deeper to uncover the true power within his form!
In that instant.
Centered around Sterl, the space within a hundred-mile radius trembled and twisted. He was like an embryonic Black Hole, filled with destructive force.
Even more astonishing, a powerful gravitational force spontaneously surged from his body, causing everything around him to be drawn in. But before they could get close, they were disintegrated into dust by this overwhelming twisting power, vanishing without a trace.
Moments later, Sterl's body temperature rose dramatically. It became so intense that even the molten magma beneath, infused with Lava Law, couldn't compare to the heat emanating from him!
The Fission Law furiously disassembled and reshaped the power he had gathered. Each time the Fission was triggered, his strength expanded further. By now, the force had grown so immense that Sterl himself could feel the enormous pressure building within him.
The power was now on the verge of spiraling out of control and was gradually wearing away at his body.
"This punch, it contains all my strength, all my supreme will…
I shall name it, Annihilation Realm King's Fist!
Even the world itself will be destroyed by it!"
Sterl let out a low growl, and with a single, forceful punch, the immense power inside his body found an outlet and surged forth like a tidal wave.
In an instant, the space within a ten-thousand-meter radius collapsed, countless substances swallowed up by the spatial void. The force of this punch had already transcended the limits of what this layer of Hell could withstand!
Had Sterl not intentionally controlled it, allowing the force to expand freely within this world, the mother body wouldn't even need to consume it—the entire layer of Hell would have collapsed outright.
However, the first to suffer damage wasn't the two mother bodies, but Sterl himself.
The moment his punch landed, his right arm shattered into dust. His internal organs were violently shaken and jarred, and his entire body was covered in cracks. Even the energy inside him was drained by more than half, leaving him in a pitiable state.
Yet, Sterl's eyes remained sharp, calm, and unaffected. He didn't even seem bothered.
Before long, the shattered arm began to regrow at an astonishing speed. Within less than a second, his arm was fully restored to its prime state, and the wounds on his body, as well as the internal damage, healed completely.
Even the energy that had been drained from within him had mostly replenished!
At that moment, the power of Annihilation Realm King's Fist struck the gray barrier surrounding the two mother bodies.
Instantly, the barrier trembled violently, as if a massive truck traveling at three hundred miles per hour had crashed into a building.
A large portion of the gray energy was instantly evaporated, and the continuous onslaught of force began to rapidly erode the energy shielding the barrier. It was as if the barrier were a candle flickering in the wind, on the verge of being extinguished at any moment.
Even though the power of the punch was extremely concentrated, the residual energy from the collision spread out, sweeping across thousands of miles. The entire layer of Hell trembled—volcanoes collapsed, magma erupted, and the earth itself shattered!
The original landmass was nearly broken apart and reshaped, and even the Lava Giant clan, located thousands of miles away, felt an overwhelming shockwave. This was followed by a hurricane-like force carrying the destructive power of space itself.
The eight Lava Giant gods immediately gathered their Law Power to defend, barely managing to withstand the force. If they hadn't, the casualties among their clan could have been devastating.
"What… what just happened there?"
The Lava Giant Clan Leader stared wide-eyed, watching as the land rippled like a wave. His mind felt as though it had been struck by five thunderbolts at once, and he froze in place, stunned into stone-like immobility.
"I've poured all of Sterl's power into this punch; even an upper divine authority shouldn't be able to stop it, right?"
Sterl took a deep breath, gazing at his own creation. A sense of emotion stirred within him. Unknowingly, he had reached this level. Even an upper divine authority now seemed like an entity he could erase with ease.
"But the flaw of Annihilation Realm King's Fist is still too obvious."
Sterl quickly shifted his focus, beginning to analyze. The biggest issue was the long time it took to gather the power before the explosion. The time between preparation and release was enough for an enemy to mount a substantial defense or counterattack.
As for the energy consumption and backlash, he simply ignored them. This ability was created precisely to maximize destruction. If the cost and backlash weren't significant, how could it possibly have such devastating power?
Moreover, given his vitality and recovery abilities, which he had already tested, he could easily withstand the toll it took on him.
"Never mind, this ability is only just born; I'll improve it gradually over time."
The flaw seemed tough to address, but he did have an idea: what if the power of the punch was amplified to a degree that it destroyed everything, obliterating not only the enemy's defenses but also leaving them no space to escape? In that case, the flaw would become irrelevant.
Although it seemed somewhat reckless, this idea of a "powerful flying brick" seemed actually feasible.
"Based on Annihilation Realm King's Fist, I could also create a weaker version. The power would be less, but the gathering speed would be much faster."
Sterl smiled faintly, glancing at his attribute panel. It didn't show the self-created ability.
But that made sense. This ability was born from the Fission Law and the foundation of destruction, reinforced by his powerful body and fused with dozens of other Laws.
In theory, this wasn't really an ability at all—it was a devastating weapon, one that only he could wield. No one else could master it.
Yet, Sterl wasn't concerned. At this stage, he could sense that he was slowly stepping beyond the boundaries of Transcendence.
Then, he turned his gaze back toward the two mother bodies. By now, the power of Annihilation Realm King's Fist had nearly run its course. The gray energy shield in front of the mother bodies had vanished, but the two mother bodies themselves seemed completely unharmed.
"Well, that's tough…"
Sterl's eyes narrowed in slight surprise. His ultimate punch, one in which he'd invested everything, had only just managed to destroy the energy barrier, and the mother bodies hadn't taken a single hit.
What exactly was this mysterious gray energy? Where did it come from, and what kind of existence could generate such an abnormal force?
Of course, what Sterl didn't know was that if the two mother bodies had their own independent will, they would be far more shocked than he was. Only they truly understood what it meant to have gathered such an immense amount of gray energy. This was something that the beings of this world simply couldn't break.
"Well, it doesn't matter," Sterl muttered under his breath, "Without that shell, it's time for you to move on."
However, just as he thought everything was settled, something unexpected happened.
Suddenly, the two mother bodies exploded with a violent force, and in the blink of an eye, two pitch-black monsters appeared before Sterl.
"Hmm? You still want to resist? How foolish."
A trace of disdain flashed in Sterl's eyes. He recognized this as the combat form of the mother bodies, a state where they condensed all their energy to evolve.
In this form, the mother bodies' strength would surge to the level of an upper divine authority, and when combined with that strange gray energy, even an absolute defense certified by the Transcendence system would be breached.
However, Sterl was no longer the same as before. His strength had grown exponentially since the first time he faced a combat-ready mother body, and he wasn't afraid to confront them head-on. Still, he wasn't a fool—there was no need to complicate things when a simple solution would suffice.
Observing the fully powered-up mother bodies, Sterl immediately activated Phantom Purgatory, forcibly pulling their souls into it.
All he needed to do was refine the gathered souls, and the mother bodies' own souls would collapse, leading to a victory without a fight. It would be effortless!
But the invaders' strangeness and the complexity of their methods still exceeded Sterl's expectations.
Surrounding the massive soul of the mother bodies, he saw an additional layer of gray energy.
While this layer wasn't as thick or formidable as the previous gray barrier, it managed to absorb all the damage from Soulforge Fire.
After a second, the gray energy had only consumed about one-third of its capacity, meaning the enemies could still withstand another two seconds of Phantom Purgatory's burning.
Even if Sterl were to exhaust all his soul power, he couldn't eliminate them in one go.
Undoubtedly, this was clearly a countermeasure aimed directly at his Soul Prison's Eerie Eyes talent. After all, Sterl had used it so many times. While it was hard to detect with a single use, after repeated application, the problem would become apparent. Stay connected via My Virtual Library Empire
