Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies

Though Xiao Wu and the others could not understand what kind of grudge Bai Meiyue had against Murong Yue, they had long understood the lesson that they should never question Bai Meiyue and her decisions.

What was more, if Bai Meiyue helped them, then they only needed to worry about how to carry the things with them and nothing else.

Xiao Wu turned to look at his younger brothers and said to them, "Make sure that you all are really careful. The last thing we need is to be caught. I heard from others that this woman is a man-eating monster even though she is not a zombie."

When Lei Qian and the rest heard his words, they softly chuckled. After all, they believed that Xiao Wu was being way too cautious. Only for Bai Meiyue to turn around and look at him with a serious look in her eyes. She said to him, "He is speaking the truth; there is no need to laugh."

Everyone arrived at the back of the courtyard where Murong Yue was living. The backyard was filled with wild weeds, which Bai Meiyue asked Lei Qian to clear up.

Though she didn't know if those weeds were mutated or not, Bai Meiyue thought that it was better to be cautious than to be sorry.

Only when Lei Qian finished dealing with the weeds did they sneak close to the courtyard.

"Boss, this is the map of the courtyard. We stole this from the reception lobby at the entrance of this district. This entire district is divided into three regions. The southern half is where all the courtyards are located, and on the east side is where the garden and golf court are located. And there is also a fishing region at the west."

"I will go to the residential region." Bai Meiyue's eyes flashed with cold, murderous intent. Since she was determined to kill that woman, she was not going to waste more time.

"I will go with you," Lei Qian spoke up when he heard Bai Meiyue was charging straight to the firepit. Though he wanted to stop her, he knew that it was impossible. He understood one thing very clearly after staying with Bai Meiyue for so long.

This woman was stubborn and straightforward.

Once she decided on something, she would do it right away.

Bai Meiyue turned to look at the man beside her and glanced at him with disgust. What was this man worried about? Did he think that she couldn't take care of herself?

Lei Qian indeed didn't think that Bai Meiyue couldn't take care of herself. He knew her well enough to know that the woman was more than capable of taking care of herself.

It was he who couldn't help but worry about her.

Xiao Wu didn't know who this man was but when he saw that Bai Meiyue didn't say anything to stop him, he too closed his mouth and didn't make any unreasonable remarks.

Xiao Wu said to the rest of the team, "Don't wait for the team to gather outside; once you escape, head right back to our den at the Jingshi street. Got it?"

"Got it."

Keeping the map in hand, Lei Qian and Bai Meiyue left the rest of the team.

While Shen Zhen and Zhou Hongbei was asked to stay in the SUV. If not for Murong Yue living inside these courtyards, Bai Meiyue would have certainly asked these two to follow them. But Murong Yue was not the kind of person whom she could take lightly.

That woman was unhinged. Who knows what kind of move she might pull?

The two of them marched down the small courtyard, which was at the very back. Though this courtyard was rather small, the facilities here were no less than those of the big ones. In fact, it was cosier.

There was a small vegetable garden and there were six guards marching around the small courtyard.

It seemed like these people arrived here just a few days ago; thus, they didn't have any weapons in their hands at the moment. They were simply patrolling the area with just baseball bats.

Bai Meiyue narrowed her eyes. Though these men were not holding weapons, she didn't take them lightly. After all, these people were able to clear the zombies around this region without dying, which showed that they had appropriate skills.

"I will take care of the ones who are at the back," she told Lei Qian without looking away from the number of guards that were guarding the courtyard. "And you take care of the ones who are in the front. Remember, try to kill them in one sweep."

She didn't want these people to alert the rest of the guards.

Lei Qian parted his lips to refuse but when Bai Meiyue turned and glared at him, he pursed his lips and nodded obediently. He tiptoed around the front to get a better shot at the guards while Bai Meiyue walked around to the back.

Her eyes fell on the large warehouse and the men who kept moving the boxes inside the warehouse. It seemed like her guess was correct; Murong Yue moved here just a few days ago.

Since that was the case, then it would be easy to kill this woman.

Not only was Murong Yue a ruthless woman, she was also extra cautious. If this woman had established a base here, then Bai Meiyue was worried that this woman would have certainly set a lot of traps around the entire building. But now that Bai Meiyue knew that this woman had just moved in, she didn't need to worry about these traps.

Thus, while the three men turned their backs on her, Bai Meiyue shot three ice needles at the back of their necks. She waited for the ice needles to do their work; once the three men toppled down, she walked over to where they were lying and then dumped them inside the space pocket.

She didn't want anyone to notice anything amiss before she could draw Murong Yue's blood.
