Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Roa the God
It's been two years since I came to this world.
I'm not having a good time here.
I could have used my baby status to do many things that I wanted to do but couldn't do before.
But that damn boy, no, that damn kid, kept stopping me.
Today, I'm going to let him know the price of humiliating me.
So, with this in mind, he tiptoed towards Roa's room. The door wasn't closed, and he quietly pushed it open. The door didn't make a sound.
Just like that, he suddenly burst into the room and saw a shocking scene.
That pretty little boy had a fair, slender finger holding a dagger. The dagger was jet-black, made of countless black threads.
When he pushed the door open, Roa coldly glanced at the yellow-haired kid in front of him.
The magic blade on his finger rotated in a beautiful butterfly knife-like motion, drawing black traces in the air.
"So cool," Rudeus said blankly.
However, a gaze without any emotion looked over at him.
"Rudeus, don't you know to knock?"
Roa's voice was calm and elegant. Although it was childish, it had a faint sense of majesty.
Rudeus waved his chubby little hand, wanting to explain something.
But after meeting that clear gaze, he lowered his head inexplicably and said, "I'm sorry."
A sigh came, and Roa continued, "Don't do that next time." He waved his hand, signaling Rudeus to get out.
But Rudeus was very curious about the scene just now. He asked Roa, "Roa, Big Brother, were you casting magic just now?"
Roa nodded coldly.
Rudeus asked curiously, "What kind of magic is that? Why don't you need to chant?"
Ever since Rudeus learned about the existence of extraordinary power in this world at the age of one, he had been studying magic and training his magic power. He had already reached the point where he could barely cast intermediate-level magic, and he had also figured out a way to cast magic without chanting.
Roa's lips curled up. In Rudeus's eyes, he was sneering. But Roa said jokingly, "Who told you that you need to chant to cast magic?"
Rudeus was stunned. He said stutteringly, "But don't the books all say that you need to chant a very long line?"
Roa glanced at him and said, "Is magic such an inconvenient thing? Do you really take the words of those useless magicians in the books seriously? If they can't figure it out themselves, can't you think of a way yourself? Just listen to them, don't take them seriously."
Rudeus fell silent. He looked at the four-year-old fair-skinned older brother in front of him. He opened his mouth to say something, but in the end, he said nothing.
His self-esteem was hit. He thought that his talent was very strong after being reincarnated, but he didn't expect that his brother seemed even more monstrous.
After being dejected for a while, he heard Roa continue to explain, "This is a technique I developed. I call it Magic Sword."
Rudeus's eyes lit up. He asked cautiously, "Can I learn it?"
Roa wasn't surprised that Rudeus was secretly training his magic power. He thought for a while and pondered, "How is your control over magic power?"
"It's okay."
"Can you condense magic power?"
"Yes, I can," Rudeus nodded.
Roa said again, "Don't turn it into wind, fire, water, earth, or any other elements. Magic power is magic power. Just keep compressing it and condensing it to see what happens."
Rudeus frowned. Soon, his face turned pale, and he sighed, "No, I don't have enough magic power. The amount required for this technique is too much."
Roa waved his hand and sighed, "Looks like you can't do it."
The words "can't do it" turned into a sharp sword that pierced Rudeus's chest.
In an instant, Rudeus's face turned red. He looked at the cold little boy in front of him. Although he still had no expression, he had reason to believe that this guy was deliberately teasing him.
Looking at the bright weather outside, the summer heat, and the white clouds constantly turning in the blue sky, Roa thought for a while and said, "Let's go outside."
Hearing the words "go outside," Rudeus trembled subconsciously. He wanted to refuse, but before he could open his mouth, he heard Roa's cold voice, "Of course, this is an order, not a question."
Rudeus showed an ugly smile. He looked at Roa and said, "Why do we have to go outside? It's so hot outside, and it's so cool at home. Why do we have to go out and bask in the sun?"
Roa didn't speak, just looked at him.
Rudeus swallowed, meeting that deadly gaze, but he couldn't bring himself to say the words "let's go out together."
In the end, he was forcibly dragged out the door. He said "I'm going out" to Lillia, and went outside with Rudeus, who looked as if he was attending his own funeral.
The world outside was actually quite beautiful. The temperature wasn't scorching, and a gentle breeze brought a touch of coolness. Outside the door were golden fields of wheat, farmers working, and children playing. Rudeus looked at everything around him with a hint of fear.
Even after two years, the trauma in his heart hadn't healed. He was a timid person by nature.
Suddenly, a warm hand took Rudeus's small hand. Rudeus was startled and looked up, seeing a faint smile on Roa's lips.
Like the spring sunshine, like the autumn breeze, the smile was faint but beautiful.
The dazzling sunlight shone on his golden hair, which swayed in the breeze. His eyes were always so calm, like a clear spring.
For some reason, Rudeus was captivated.
Roa led the shut-in to the golden ears of wheat. He said softly, "Reach out."
Rudeus reached out, and Roa raised his hand to the wheat. The golden ears swayed in the wind, their plump grains shining brightly. Rudeus's fingers gently brushed against the wheat, feeling a ticklish sensation. He saw a tiny insect crawling on the wheat and felt a little dazed.
He was a little lost. Rudeus met Roa's eyes, which were clear and bright, as if they could see into his soul. In just one glance, Rudeus felt that everything about him had been seen through.
Roa slowly said, "I don't know what you're afraid of, but you only live once. Your health, your mission, and the people you love are the most important things."
Rudeus stared blankly at him, his handsome face illuminated by the dim light, making him look so holy.
At that moment, Rudeus made his older brother his god.
Roxy's position was taken by Roa.
