American Comics: The Girl Next Door is Spider-Gwen

Chapter 35: Little Naughty Gwen, Relating to the Feeling!

"Kekeke…"

Peter released Thompson's neck, grabbed his shoulders instead, and lifted him higher.

"Say your choice out loud! If I'm not satisfied, I'll rip out your throat!"

Thompson, throwing caution to the wind, screamed at the top of his lungs,

"Don't kill me! Let Liz die! This b***h never liked me; she only wanted my status. I'd never die for her!"

"Mm-mm-mm… Cough! Cough, cough!"

The tail in Liz's mouth was pulled out. After coughing violently a few times, she immediately cursed,

"Thompson, you b***ard! Selfish jerk! Why didn't you die for me?!"

The two turned on each other, revealing the ugliness of human nature, caught perfectly on camera. Occasionally, people who already disliked them jeered and cursed at them.

Among them, the sharp-voiced women were the most vocal, acting as if Thompson and Liz were the epitome of moral decay.

Seeing his humiliation plan progressing perfectly, Peter became even more excited. He gagged Liz again and then threw Thompson onto the ground.

"Well done, Thompson! Now, get on the ground and bark like a dog!"

"What?!"

Thompson couldn't believe it and tried to get up. "I already did what you said! How can you—?!"

Peter stomped on his back, pressing him against the grass. "You have no choice. It's an order!"

Thud!

A figure landed on the rooftop of the school building.

Wearing a uniform of black and white, indigo ballet shoes, and a purple-pink hood lining, one hand braced against the ground, one knee bent, with a slender leg stretched out.

A perfect Spider-Man landing pose.

It was Gwen.

"A Lizard Man at school?"

Gwen stood up, scanning the entire campus with her exceptional eyesight from this vantage point. She quickly spotted something off on the football field.

"There!"

She shot her web at the rooftop and swung gracefully toward the field—

Whoosh—whoosh—

After a few web swings, Ghost Spider appeared mid-air over the football field.

The scene below left Gwen stunned.

"Woof, woof, woof!"

Thompson, who always bullied Peter, was crawling on the ground like a dog, barking desperately around the Lizard Man.

What was he doing? Did he think lizards were afraid of dogs?

See, this is why reading more books is always a good idea...

Next, Gwen also noticed Liz being restrained by the Lizard Man's tail, the thick tip of the tail jammed into her throat.

Watching this scene, Gwen couldn't help but recall the feeling of her "games" with Ye Li. She subconsciously touched her slender neck, feeling a sense of empathy...

This must be awful.

But for her and Ye Li... it was rather thrilling~

Liz, however, probably only felt pain.

"It's Ghost Spider!"

While Gwen was lost in her somewhat dirty thoughts, the people below noticed her swinging in and cheered in delight!

"Spider-Man is here! We're saved!"

"Long live Ghost Spider!"

"Quick, take down the Lizard Man!"

"Spider-Man?" Peter, disguised as the Lizard Man, didn't recognize Gwen, nor did she recognize him. Still, he was wary of Ghost Spider and didn't want to confront her here.

So, Peter tossed Liz, who was wrapped in his tail, back at Thompson, leaving with a sharp remark,

"Thompson, look now—who's the insignificant one?"

"Woof, woof... you!"

Thompson, still barking like a dog, froze, his pupils shrinking. "You're Pe—ah!"

Before he could finish, Peter's tail whipped him unconscious.

Peter wouldn't kill Thompson. He wanted Thompson to experience the feeling of being mocked and toyed with.

After finishing his business and noticing that Ghost Spider had landed, Peter quickly left the football field.

"Ran away?"

As Gwen stepped onto the grass, she saw the Lizard Man crawling away on all fours in a strange, grotesque manner.

She approached Thompson and Liz to check on them.

Both were still breathing, their chests rising and falling, and seemed to have no external injuries.

She sighed in relief. "Well, no casualties. I'll just notify my dad to handle this."

"Spider-Woman! Ghost Spider!"

Cheers erupted from the football field.

"Spider-Woman is amazing! Just showing up scared off the Lizard Man!"

"Ghost Spider, can I get your autograph?"

"Wow, you handled that so quickly." Jessica arrived late, landing on the football field.

She could now manage to float briefly in the air after jumping, but she was still a bit slower than Gwen.

"No, it ran off on its own."

Gwen explained to Jessica, "Jessica, I have a feeling this Lizard Man might be..."

"Not the same one?" Jessica caught the implication.

"It's just a guess..."

Earlier, when the Lizard Man glanced back, Gwen noticed its eyes—yellow, slit pupils.

But the one Jessica fought last time had green eyes.

...

At the club...

"Three with a pair!"

"Double sequence!"

"Triple sequence!"

"Four with two!"

Watching Ye Li play his last card in an instant, Barbara was dumbfounded, questioning her life.

You must be cheating, right? You have to be cheating, right?!
