Chapter 1103: Poaching Her Again
Grandma Qin's eyelids twitched repeatedly. After a moment, she looked at Qin Lie and waved her hand in defeat. "Forget it, forget it, I can't do anything about it anyway."
"But you must pass on my message to Lingfeng: whatever happens, Zhouzhou cannot get hurt. If she does, I swear, I will divorce your father and take Zhouzhou away!"
Upon hearing this, Grandpa Qin became anxious. "Why are you still talking about divorce?"
Grandma Qin shot him a glance and snorted. "Why? You knew everything but didn't tell me, Qin Qiankun. I'm telling you, if anything happens to my granddaughter, I'll never forgive you!"
With that, she stomped off angrily.
Grandpa Qin rubbed his aching temples and turned to Qin Lie. "Make sure to pass that message on to Little Ye."
After speaking, he hurriedly chased after Grandma Qin.
He never thought that, at his old age, he would have to face the risk of divorce. What kind of situation is this?
Qin Lie watched them go and couldn't help but smile faintly.
At least his mother wasn't outright opposed anymore, which was good. If she had started making a scene, it wouldn't have been easy to handle.
He knew she had given in because she realized she couldn't stop Zhouzhou. She loved Zhouzhou too much to give her a hard time.
As he thought about this, Qin Lie's phone rang. He picked it up, and Zhao Xinghua's urgent voice came through. "Tell Zhouzhou, no matter who comes over, don't open the door!"
Who could be coming?
Qin Lie frowned, feeling confused. Just then, he heard some noises outside and walked to the window to take a look.
A line of SUVs had stopped in front of their house, and several people in military uniforms stepped out, each carrying large boxes. The leader had a serious expression, but he was trying to force a smile. He spoke in a loud voice, "Is this the house of Qin Caicai? We've brought some money for you!"
Money?
Qin Lie raised an eyebrow.
Zhao Xinghua heard it too, and he shouted furiously, "Don't open the door, don't open the door!"
Qin Lie paused for a moment before glancing at the figures rushing outside. "It's too late."
How could Zhouzhou possibly stop people from giving her money?
Hearing this, Zhao Xinghua became even more upset. "I'll be over there right away! Tell Zhouzhou that no matter what they offer, I'll double it! All they do is try to poach her away!"
He stormed off, cursing under his breath.
Qin Lie could already tell what was happening, but his expression didn't change. He had grown used to this kind of thing.
He had seen it all when Zhouzhou was younger.
He hung up the phone and walked downstairs.
As he reached the ground floor, Zhouzhou was heading out toward the Ye family's house.
Whatever she was going to say, it probably wasn't something the family needed to hear.
Qin Lie looked at them for a moment and then made a call to Ye Lingfeng, telling him what was happening.
Ye Lingfeng chuckled lightly on the other end. "It's fine. Let Zhouzhou handle it. She can take care of it."
He sounded completely unconcerned, even a bit smug.
In recent years, the Commander had never given up on Zhouzhou, but she hadn't agreed.
And the reason for that? Of course, it was because of him.
Hearing his smug tone, Qin Lie rolled his eyes. He shouldn't have made this call!
Just as he was about to hang up, Ye Lingfeng said, "I'll be back soon."
After getting off the plane, he had gone to report in and hadn't been with Zhouzhou. He didn't expect them to arrive this quickly.
The group from the Ye family arrived at the door. The leader introduced himself, "Hello, my name is Jin Feng. I'm the Navy Commander. I've worked with your father before. Just call me Uncle Jin."
Hearing this, the others accompanying him couldn't help but give him a few more curious looks.
They had never seen a commander so easygoing. But could he stop smiling? It was kind of creepy.
Jin Feng wanted to leave a good impression on Zhouzhou, so he kept his smile, even though it was a little too exaggerated.
He had no idea that the "Fugui" everyone had been talking about was such a delicate little girl.
Who would believe it if they saw her walking down the street?
But that worked in their favor. The less people believed it, the safer she would be.
With that thought, Jin Feng's gaze softened even more as he looked at Zhouzhou.
"Here's the thing," he began, "We already know about you finding the 404 submarine. We came specifically to thank you."
At those words, Zhouzhou's gaze immediately fell on the boxes they were carrying.
Seeing this, Jin Feng couldn't help but laugh. He waved his hand, and the boxes were opened. Zhouzhou's eyes widened in shock.
It was all money!
She excitedly asked, "Uncle Jin, is this all my reward?"
"Yes," Jin Feng nodded, pleased with her reaction. He silently gave himself a pat on the back for doing his homework on Zhouzhou's likes before coming here.
He was sincerely trying to "steal" her from Zhao Xinghua's side.
As Zhouzhou joyfully grabbed the money, Jin Feng's smile grew even wider. He continued, "Zhouzhou, your real name is this, right? Can I call you that?"
Zhouzhou nodded eagerly. "Yes, of course!"
She now looked at Jin Feng as if he were a close relative!
Anyone who brought her money was a good person!
Seeing the way she looked at him, Jin Feng's heart was at ease. He felt more confident in his next steps. He said, "Zhouzhou, you've done a great service this time, and we're all really grateful to you."
"You're so capable, have you ever thought about joining the Navy?"
Upon hearing this, Zhouzhou's hand froze as she carefully asked, "If I say no, can I keep the money?"
Jin Feng paused for a moment, but quickly reassured her, "Of course! This is a reward for finding the 404. It has nothing to do with whether you join or not. It's completely up to you."
Though he said that, deep inside, he felt a bit disappointed.
Zhouzhou's response was pretty much a rejection, wasn't it?
However, Zhouzhou felt at ease and immediately embraced the money, making sure it was all safe.
Then she told Jin Feng, "Thank you, Uncle Jin. Even though I can't join, if you ever need help with something, feel free to contact me. I don't mind taking on a few part-time jobs."

"Part-time job?" Jin Feng was taken aback, confused by her meaning.
Zhouzhou nodded confidently. "Yes, exactly. You're coming to ask me to join you, but that means you want me to work. I won't ask for a position or salary. If you have something for me to do, I can help out, and then you can give me some money after."
"I do this kind of thing with my Second Uncle all the time."
Jin Feng was now beginning to understand. It wasn't about her joining them, but about lending a hand when needed.
He had never encountered anyone quite like this before, and he couldn't help but laugh.
He had to admit, he really liked the temperament of this little girl!
Zhouzhou also seemed to like him—he was generous.
She then gladly served tea and cut fruit, offering them to the guests.
By the time Zhao Xinghua rushed over, he found Zhouzhou and the Navy team chatting happily together, clearly getting along well. He felt a sudden rush of panic.
His eyes immediately turned red as he rushed toward Jin Feng, shouting, "Old Jin, I'm going to fight you! How dare you steal my people!"
