Chapter 19: Chapter 19
The following day Luna thought about everything that had happened last night. She was sad that Dave had broken her heart like that, but she was thankful at the same time.
Now she could fully move on, knowing that she had done and tried everything that she could to make it work with him.
Yet he had used her so many times, but last night was the final nail to the coffin. She checked her phone and sure enough, there were 27 missed calls from him.
There were voice mails, and she saw that he had left messages wanting her to talk to him. He had the nerve. Yesterday she had walked out, and he had not bothered to follow her out, but he chose the other girl.
So she meant nothing to him, and that hurt her the most. He simply did not care, and she was tired of it.
Luna arrived at her night shift and went to the back. Ace got in with Sadie and Sienna went to serve them happily.
She did not understand how could Sienna be happy when he had a woman with him; she was essentially happy to be in his presence.
Yet she could never do it. There was no way she would be okay with Dave having his girlfriend and her on the sidelines. She deserved better than that, but to each their own, if Sienna did not mind, then it was fine.
Yet with Sadie, she knew that she didn't like sharing Ace, but what could she do? As Ace could not be questioned, it was his way or the highway.
Other business man came in with their wives or mistresses. They began talking. Sadie leaned back into Ace's arms, and his hand went around her shoulder.
She kissed him, and Ace reciprocated it. She wanted to check to see if Sienna could see what was going on, but her phone beeped. Luna turned so they would not see her.
Being on their phones was a huge no, but the workers knew how to get around the rule and they did not rat each other out.
"Please come outside. Spare me a few minutes."
Luna went outside quickly, "You better be having a life crisis."
William smiled, "I couldn't enter as Ace is here."
"Did something happen?"
"Just a warning, but I don't back down."
"What warning?"
"That does not matter, I'm here to talk to you about something that actually matters."
"No, it does matter, this is because of me and I need to try handle it. It's not fair for you to be dragged into this."
"If I did mind, I would have said, but I don't care."
"But I do."
"Well, don't be, so can we now talk about what I want to ask you?"
Luna chuckled, "What's up?"
"Please give me just two hours of your time."
"Why?" she asked skeptically.
"I want to show you something."
"Something as in?"
"It is better to show you than tell you."
"Fine, I knock off early Friday."
He smiled, "Great, I look forward to it and you can't change your mind as you have promised."
She nodded, "I won't."
He smiled and after a few more minutes, Luna headed back in so that she would not get in trouble.
Friday evening came, and Luna went to the bathroom, she changed. Put on some make-up and let her hair down.
She was actually dressing up and putting in effort.
She walked out and froze a bit when Ace was walking in. He took in her appearance, but she pretended not to notice.
"Luna."
She turned to Nora, "Have fun, and don't do anything that I wouldn't do."
"Then that does not leave me with many options."
She dashed outside and William stood in front of his car, and he looked dashing.
"You look beautiful."
"Thank you."
He handed her a huge bouquet of roses. "For the Lady."
Luna smiled, this was the first time someone had ever bought flowers for her. He had already done so much more than what Dave had done.
"You didn't have to."
"But I wanted to."
"Thank you." She smiled ear to ear.
"It's my pleasure."
Luna nodded.
He grinned, "Let's go."
They set off, and she wondered as to where they were going. She had never been down this route before.
"Where are we going?"
"Mountain view."
She had never heard of it. All Luna did was work so that she could keep afloat, so she had no time to explore, but the name of the place sounded lovely.
"Alright, I have never heard of it."
"Well, there is a first time for everything."
They arrived, and he opened the door for her, and Luna took in her surroundings. The place was beautiful.
William held out his elbow, and she looped her arm around, and they headed to the entrance.
