Chapter 6: chapter 6
Baron was standing near the door in shock and disbelief. "What are you saying? Are you kidding right now?"
He turns his head to his son. "Although he did say that he would come, but…"
Cedric turned his head and began walking outside. "wait, I have to welcome him,"
But he turns around and enters the room again. "No, I should first wake them up"
"Siena", Baron gently taps on his wife's chick. Until she opened her eyes, barely enough to see who was In Front.
"The king is here" The smile on his face completely said how surprised and happy he was.
She replies while rubbing her eyes. "The king? Why would he be here? What does he want from us? We just became noble a few years ago. You are in a dream" She says as she closes her eyes.
"For our child"
As those words reached her ears, her eyes widened, heaviness in her eyelids flew away in an instant. She pulled the baby closer to her chest, while the baby calmly slept under his mom's protection. "Why would he want my child, it's my child"
"Calm down, calm down," Her husband says with a gentle voice, placing his hand on her head. "He is here to see the child, not to take your child" A chuckle breaks out as he comforts his wife.
"He told me a month ago that he would come to our house. I didn't believe it at first, but now, here he is."
"But why would–"
"Let's first go and greet him, he is the king". Baron said, holding his wife's hand; as she stood up.
Newborn's eyes slightly opened as he heard all the noises.
'good morning, Bastard, ' Thomas thinks as he gives a small yawn with his little mouth.
…
"We are so grateful and lucky that you came to our house, Your Majesty" Thomas opens his eyes properly to take a look at the visitors.
Thomas looked at them silently, who were looking at him with a gentle smile. It looked genuine. 'all of them….. their hair…. It's brown….'
Thomas clenches his fist. 'Where is the colourful hair you had promised me'
The King, queen, and a knight. King and knight both had brown hair with a properly groomed beard. A good-looking face. Tall and lean body.
While the queen didn't have any facial hair, she was shorter than the knight and king. But she had something a king and knight could never have. Thomas had yet to notice that.
'You said the world would be the same as those other fantasy stories; almost all fictional stories have colourful hair; you deceived me,' Thomas said, being held by the Baroness, who was sitting on the sofa near Baron.
'liar' Thomas says while looking at the air in anger, who was being stared at by the queen.
"Ohh, children look cute even when they are angry," She says with a radiant smile. "Can I hold him?"
Although the mother did not want to give her child to the Queen, she had no other options. The Queen reaches out her hand and takes the child. "Hello little guy, how are you?"
Thomas was staring dead in her eyes. They are red. 'Why are my eyes only brown?' The child's brown eyes gradually became watery before welling up with tears.
"Give me cool eyes too, blue eyes and white hair; that is all I want." The entire room was filled with the sound of the child's wailing.
"I am sorry, Your Highness; I believe he is unfamiliar with new people; please forgive us," said the child's mother before snatching her child away from the Queen.
'That's.. that's discrimination' Thomas thinks as the mother cradles her baby.
"It is okay; I used to cry a lot when I was a toddler, too," the queen said with an awkward smile before apologizing to the child.
'… but how does she know that she used to cry when she was a child?' Thomas asks when he has stopped crying.
<...Her parents loved her enough to tell her I guess,>
'hmm, that makes sense'
< What, your parents never told you?>
The child who had just stopped crying, his brown eyes became watery again. 'i
… They did… I just forgot' As his mother sees her child's eyes, she begins comforting her kid.
"It's fine, don't worry, they will go away soon", She whispers in his ears before giving him a gentle smile.
'... Does she think they can't hear her?' Thomas turns his head towards the Queen. '..... I guess they didn't' His gaze shifts towards the knight. Who was looking at the baroness, clenching his teeth? 'I guess they did'
While looking at the guard, Thomas feels as if he is levitating upwards, before he realises it is his mother who is lifting him.
"Alright, we will be going now; take good care of that charming boy." The Baroness and the baron bowed In Front of the king and queen before they left the place.
…
Baron came near and held her hand as they walked forward.
"Alright, sleeping time already; let me put my baby to sleep," She says as she hugs her child tightly.
"That sounds bad for some reason," Father says, filled with concern.
"Why would it?" She asks with narrowed eyebrows before she lifts her eyebrows. "Ohh, the queen was staring a lot at my baby, where is that amulet that the priest gave me?" She said as she picked out amulets from below her bed.
"Well, he is charming so.." Cedric responds with a bright smile.
Mom looks at his husband with sharp eyes. "I have to ask for another one"
".....But he is my son, too" His smile faded away as he looked at Seina with concern.
"No, I mean he is my son first"
'....' Thomas stares at them fighting over him with each other.
The poor author sat on his desk eating cannon food. Eyes are not revealed as always. "Okay, dude, I'm done with today's writing; see ya in another chapter," he says before closing the laptop.
'wait, what does that mean? What will happen to the world until then? What is going to happen to all these characters until then? Thomas tried communicating, but no one responded; he couldn't even feel the presence of the outer.
With concern, he turns his head. What happens to a person's thoughts when they do not think about them? Could Thomas be trapped in nothingness like before? With this body? He turns his worried gaze to two of the story's key characters. They were…. Smiling, while looking at their only children. 'Are really they just characters
