Chapter 81: Bronze Armored Woman
Prometheus waved his right hand and a scroll of parchment appeared before him.
He then walked towards Ouroboros and knelt down, handing the scroll to his boss respectfully.
"I have conveyed the council's message to the new forest deity this morning. He has rejected the offer to become an apostle for Olympus." Prometheus reported while his head remained low.
Ouroboros heard his subordinate's report and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
"Oh? Did you not recite the benefits of becoming an apostle for us?"
"I did (That's a lie). But he remained persistent with his rejection. Thus I had no choice but to return empty handed (Also a lie)." Prometheus reported with a determined look.
Ouroboros then cupped his chin and thought for a moment.
'An anomaly that broke the world barrier turned out to be a forest deity, huh? Usually, I would say to leave it be. But if I do, the other elder gods won't take it lightly and demand an explanation from me…What do I do?'
The God of Eternity, Ouroboros was a neutral god.
Unlike Prometheus who loved meddling with mortal affairs, he was a lazy god who only cared about sleeping and eating within Olympus.
A forest deity capable of breaking the world barrier wasn't his concern but rather the Goddess of Balance's job.
Even now, Ouroboros was stumped as to why the other elder gods asked him to investigate this random forest deity.
A cup of tea's time later…
"Alright, let's do this. Prometheus, I order you to bring that forest deity to Olympus to attend an interview. I will not be the one interviewing him, Minerva will do it."
"But…But Minerva wouldn't interview anyone below the rank of Titan, much less a forest deity from a no name forest." Prometheus tried to protest since he got his ass beaten by that specific forest deity just recently.
But much to his dismay, Ouroboros shook his head then said, "If I say Minerva will do it, Minerva WILL do it. I will make her listen to me, some way or the other."
'But you are the laziest bastard here, you self eating snake!' Prometheus cursed in his heart.
Ouroboros looked at his subordinate and said, "Cursing me in your heart will do you no good. Now go and inform Minerva that she needs to prepare for an interview soon."
"Yes, Sir." Prometheus nodded his way, stood up then walked away.
10 mins later…
"OUROBOROS, GET YOUR ASS OUT OF HERE!!!" The hall greatly shook as a woman clad in bronze armor stormed in.
Prometheus could be seen walking with his head down behind the bronze armored woman.
"Minerva, could you quiet down when you enter my Black Sky Pantheon?"
"Don't Minerva me, Ouroboros. I have come to have a word with you! Little Prometheus told me to prepare to interview a forest deity from a no name forest! So I beat him up then dragged him here to hear an explanation from you." The bronze armored woman named Minerva clenched her fist and gestured at the God of Eternity menacingly.
Ouroboros on the other hand, gave her a lazy glance before he turned his attention towards the timid titan behind her.
"Prometheus, go fetch us a drink each so that me and Minerva won't get thirsty during our talk." Ouroboros waved his hand to make sure the titan understood what he was talking about.
Prometheus saw Ouroboros' kind gesture and bowed. He then scurried off, wanting to flee far away, far away from the bronze tigress.
"Now that he's gone, let's discuss how we're going to recruit a forest deity into the ranks of our Olympus." [Ouroboros]
Minerva heard this and couldn't help but stomped her foot. "You can't be serious, Brother Ou. Olympus is a high class faction with high class people. Why would you try to recruit some no name forest deity into our prestigious force?"
"You wouldn't get it, Minerva. This wasn't my idea. I'm just following the orders of Bachus and Dichatus."
"Huh? It was the orders of the elder gods? How can that be?"
Ouroboros shrugged his shoulders in response. "Beats me."
Minerva became stumped. "Well, if it's the elder gods who want to recruit the forest deity, I'll just shut up and do my work."
"Indeed. We're just lackeys of the elder gods after all." Ouroboros nodded his head in agreement.

Chaos Clan, Morning
Blake stepped out of his residence to do some light exercise when he spotted Ryuda sweeping the courtyard outside.
When Ryuda noticed Blake, he stopped sweeping and bowed towards the young man. "Good morning, Master. Did you have a good night's sleep?"
"Mm, it was okay. How about you? Did you sleep well? The floor wasn't too hard, right?"
"It was actually my first time in a long time that I had a good night's worth of sleep. The nobles kept pestering me day in and day out back when I was in the Boln Kingdom, so I feel refreshed when I woke up just now." Ryuda scratched his nose shyly and replied.
Blake heard this and shook his head in dismay.
Corrupt people were indeed everywhere.
Like cockroaches, if you try to get rid of the old, new ones will just appear to replace them.
Try burning them to the ground? The new ones will just make a law that it's illegal to burn people.
Try throwing them into the ocean to drown them? The new ones will make it illegal to swim in rivers and lakes, much less the vast ocean.
Even Blake had a hard time dealing with corrupt government bodies that controlled the world 500 years ago.
Just thinking about them made his head hurt again…
