A Journey That Changed The World.

Chapter 1207: Get The Legions Ready

Archer went to kiss Teuila, but sudden explosions rang out as an enemy attack peppered the fleet. He jumped out of bed and made his way over to the window, only to notice the shield lighting up thanks to blocking the ambush.

An alarm rang out, causing the sailors to get into the battle stations as the 1st Fleet returned fire. He spotted a horde of Alliance and Swarm ships heading straight for them, causing him to smile.

''What's going on Arch?'' Teuila asked as she appeared beside him with a sheet wrapped around her body. Enjoy exclusive chapters from empire

''The Alliance is attacking,'' he explained before making his way to the bridge to see Olivia.

Following that, when Archer entered, he noticed the crew rushing around as the ship's cannons erupted. He watched as a wave of mana shells flew across the air before slamming into the enemy vessels.

The sea was lit up as the explosion took out dozens of ships, which amazed him. While standing there, Olivia appeared with a knowing smile, ''Like what you see, darling? Wait until the 2nd and 3rd Fleets fire.''

Just as the older woman spoke, the rest of the vessels fire every cannon they had, causing the Alliance ships to be decimated. Archer watched the remaining enemy retreated into the distance.

''How long until we reach Avidia Liv?'' he asked.

''We should be in range of their shore cannons, which the Battle Barges will take out before we move closer,'' the white-haired woman said .

Archer nodded, then returned to his quarters to unwind. Twenty-four hours later, the ship finally came to a halt. His curiosity got the better of him, and he made his way to the bridge, only to grin when seeing what was happening.

There, he watched in awe as the Battle Barges soared overhead, unleashing multiple waves of missiles toward the shore defenses. Explosions erupted as the projectiles slammed into the Duskfire Defenses.

'Looks like the Airforce has been training well,' he thought with an excited smile.

Just after that happened, a wave of mana shells appeared from the surviving defences, but the fleets shields blocked it. When Olivia saw this, she quickly ordered, ''Return fire! Make sure we can get close to the shore.''

Archer stood back and admired the way the older woman commanded the three fleets as they started firing upon the remaining enemies. The resulting explosion shook the ground but wiped out everything alive.

Olivia approached the window and took out a glass before looking out over the smokey shoreline. He observed as she started muttering to himself while turning to a man dressed in an officer's uniform.

''Get the legions ready for landing,'' she informed in a stern voice. ''Talila said she wanted to lead the charge alongside Elara's 1st.''

The man saluted her and bowed toward Archer before leaving the bridge as the older woman turned to him. ''Now we watch our forces create a bridgehead on Avidia.''

He agreed with a nod. ''I'm going to watch them from the balcony. How long until they disembark?''

''Ten minutes, and I believe Teuila will be covering the landing forces,'' Olivia remarked, just as the blue-haired woman leapt from a nearby balcony, her figure disappearing into the distance.

Archer stepped outside just as the transport ship's doors opened, and the Landing Craft poured out. He watched as they tore through the wave while heading for the beach, causing him to sense Elara and Talila leading the charge.

His gaze locked onto the dark sands stretched ahead, lined with rows of soldiers in iron armor, their weapons raised and poised. Behind them, massive cannons sat like dormant beasts, waiting for the signal.

Without warning, the shore erupted in a roar as the cannons fired, their blasts ripping through the air toward the craft. His breath caught in his throat as he watched the shells streak toward them, but the craft's crew was ready.

Archer watched as the Landing Craft's own cannons fired back within seconds, their blasts shaking the very air. The shells collided with the oncoming fire, sending explosions of smoke and fire into the sky.

The craft surged forward, the relentless fire from both sides lighting up the ocean. He watched the two forces clash in a symphony of violence. The beach of Emberport was the destination, but it was now a battlefield as the 1st Legion hit the sand.

He unfurled his wings and soared into the fray, the battlefield below a chaotic clash of Legionnaires and Sun Elves clad in heavy armor. Explosions tore through the air as more craft smashed into the shoreline, unleashing waves of soldiers who joined the battle.

Archer hovered above as he surveyed the battlefield below. His Legionnaires and Dragon Marines surged forward with unrelenting force, cutting through the ranks of the Duskfire Soldiers.

Shields clashed, and blades sang. The legions strict training helped his forces overwhelming the defenders. Victory seemed within reach when Archer's sharp eyes caught a movement in the distance.

''Reinforcements,'' he muttered.

Waves of Duskfire Soldiers emerged, their ranks swelling and advancing with renewed determination. Hundreds of thousands charged against a few hundred with Talila and Elara on the beach.

Archer ignored the burning poison coursing through his veins, focusing only on the battle ahead. In a flash of light, he used Blink to appear amidst the advancing enemies, cutting off their charge.

He stood firm, his chest heaving as he drew in a deep breath. Then, with an earth-shaking roar, a torrent of violet dragon fire erupted from his mouth, engulfing the Fire Elves and Alliance in a blazing inferno.

The flames surged across the battlefield, reducing most of the attackers to ash. The searing heat forced the remaining enemies to retreat momentarily, buying precious time for his legions to regroup and form their lines.

As the fire subsided, Archer staggered, coughing up blood from the strain. Despite the searing pain shooting through his body, he straightened himself and began walking back toward his soldiers, his resolve unbroken.

That's when the 1st and 2nd Legions created a deadly shieldwall with sharp spears ready to being thrust toward the enemies. They let Archer through, who was greeted by Elara, Talia, and Teuila.

The silver-haired elf hugged him tightly before whispering, ''Don't get involved husband, we can fight until you're fully healed.''

Archer smiled while tightening his cuddle while responding, ''I won't Talila, thank you for caring.''

She beamed before nuzzling her head into his shoulder after jumping on him. Following that, the battle for Emberport erupted as the Draconian Legions smashed against the Alliance defenders.

Talila, Teuila and Elara lead him to the back of the army as they fought up the beach as they worked in tandem. Archer watched as their spears shot forward and pierced through the enemy soldiers' armor.

When they pulled back, the dead bodies dropped to the ground as the legion marched forward. As this happened, the redheaded dragonkin spoke in a fascinated voice, ''The Fire Elves have retreated, leaving behind the other Alliance troops who are being butchered by our Legionnaires.''

''They have been trained well,'' he said with a proud expression, his gaze fixed on the battlefield.

He turned to his commander and continued, ''Give the order to breach Emberport's walls. But make it clear, any soldier who harms innocent civilians will face punishment.''

Elara agreed with a nod before rushing off as Teuila and Talila sat down after giving out their orders. Hours later, the legions were outside Emberport with the remaining Alliance soldiers lining the walls.

Archer watched with exhilaration as the Dragonfire Company unleashed a relentless bombardment on the fortifications. The city's cannons, which had struck his legions during their approach, lay in ruins.

His excitement surged as the walls trembled under the force of the assault before finally collapsing in a thunderous roar. They immediately exploited the breach. The 1st Legion's Dragonblood Knights charged through the rubble.

Their crimson blades gleaming as they cut down the surviving enemy soldiers with ruthless efficiency. Archer's chest swelled with pride as waves of his Legionnaires poured into the city.

From above, he spotted Talila and Teuila joining the fray, their weapons a blur of motion as they carved through the chaos. In the distance, his legions landed on a beach several miles away, their banners flying high as they marched to reinforce the assault.

When the sun set, Emberport was theirs, and Archer sat in the lord's hall with the cowering city leaders' families before him. He stood up with a smirk as he looked at the man while speaking, ''Because of your resistance, I lost five hundred of my soldiers and will need to pay for their families.''

''I can give you my wealth if you let us go,'' the city lord responded in a panicked voice.

Archer's eyes sparkled with greed as he spoke, ''Show me your wealth, human, but if you try to trick me, I'll feed your family to my monsters.''
