At Royale Hotel…

"I'm Marco, Vincent sent me here to meet you. He can't see you personally. He is being watched by Nathan's men." Marco introduced himself to Veronica.

Veronica narrowed her eyes, pressing her lips together tightly. She looked displeased. Vincent just stood her up today.

"I don't believe him. My sister is dead! Why is he telling me she is still alive?" Veronica questioned Marco.

Marco handed a folder over to her. "See for yourself. This is the proof that your real sister is still alive."

Veronica accepted the folder and flipped on the pages of the document. Her eyes went round when she saw a familiar face.

"Wait! I know this woman! She's my patient!" Veronica exclaimed as she recalled Helena Carlsen.

"She's Monica. Your sister. She underwent plastic surgery, altering her face. Helena and Monica exchanged their faces." Marco disclosed the truth to Veronica.

Veronica gasped, covering her mouth in shock.

'My sister underwent plastic surgery. Does it mean… the one who died on her behalf was this woman called Helena? And the patient in our medical facility is… Monica, my sister.'

"How could this happen? Does Nathan know about this?" Veronica was more concerned about Nathan. He was the one who brought her to the medical facility. Was he aware of her identity as Monica?

Marco nodded. "Yes. Nathan is aware that the real Monica is still alive. He is the reason why she became crazy."

Veronica's eyes widened in shock and her jaw dropped upon hearing that.

"What is the meaning of this? I thought he was in love with my sister. How could he do that to her?" Veronica still couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"You are wrong. Nathan is in love with someone else. It's Jane. She is the reason why Nathan hurt your sister. You should direct your anger toward them," Marco simply said.

This was his goal, stirring Veronica's emotions. He needed to make her hate Nathan and Jane with her jealousy. "Vincent wants you to decide whether to help your sister or not. The choice is yours. Monica's fate is in your hands now. He won't intervene." "Oh, one more thing… Do you know that Nathan and Jane went on a trip together with Ethan? It looks like he is going to propose to Jane already."

After saying those words, Marco turned around to leave. But Veronica grabbed his elbow, thus stopping him.

"Don't leave. Please bring me to Vincent. I need to talk to him personally." Veronica's eyes were seething with rage. She won't allow Nathan and Jane to marry each other.

'Nathan is mine! He is mine! No other woman can have him!' Veronica thought to herself, clenching her teeth.

"Alright. I'll bring you to him. But we need to be careful. Nathan's men should not see you." Marco grabbed her hand as he pulled her out of the hotel room.

Veronica just followed him obediently.

Meanwhile, back at the beach, the ladies started to dip in the water. Some of them played beach volleyball.

Jane just sat on the side, watching them. She was working on her laptop. With her free time, she continued writing her diary, making sure not to miss any important details.

As she typed on her laptop, a small figure suddenly approached her, taking a peek at her laptop screen. It was Ethan.

"Mommy, what are you doing?" He asked her innocently. "Why aren't you playing with them?"

Jane turned to look at him, ruffling his hair. "I'm writing a novel," she lied.

"Novel?" Ethan repeated, eyeing her with amusement. "What is the title of your novel, Mommy? Can I read it?"

Jane let out a soft chuckle. "Sure. You can read it. It's called One Hundred Days to Seduce the Devil."

"Whoa, the title sounds amazing. I can't wait to read it." He exclaimed excitedly.

Jane giggled once more. "Sure. But let me finish it yet. Go and play with your Dad. By the way, have you seen him?"

Jane darted her gaze around, but she didn't see Nathan.

"I saw him talking with Uncle Stephen and Uncle Aiden. I think they are having a secret meeting!" Ethan covered his mouth instantly as he realized he had a slip of the tongue.

"Secret meeting? About what?" Jane probed, frowning with intrigue.

Before Ethan could answer her, Hanabi immediately called him. "Ethan! Come here!" Hanabi eyed Ethan meaningfully as if she was telling him to keep his father's secret. He shouldn't reveal the surprise to her mother. "Mommy. I have to go. I won't disturb you. Just continue writing your novel." Ethan smiled sheepishly before he ran away to flee. He joined Hanabi and Tatsumi.

Jane could only shake her head helplessly. "Is Ethan hiding something from me?"

On the other hand, Nathan and his two best friends stayed in the restaurant talking about their plans tonight.

"Is everything set?" Nathan asked them expectantly.

Aiden nodded frantically. "Of course! The delivery will come in an hour. We bought everything you need. The ladies will keep Jane busy. She won't notice anything."

Meanwhile, Stephen tapped Nathan's shoulder. "Nate, relax. Everything will be fine. Why are you nervous?"

He could tell that Nathan was troubled by something. He even looked anxious.

"Hahaha! I didn't expect you to get nervous, Nate! Is this for real?" Aiden laughed so hard, amazed by Nathan's reaction.

Aiden just stopped laughing when he met Nathan's deathly glare.

"Alright. Tell us your concern." Stephen urged him. Nathan took a deep sigh. "I don't know. I can't explain it. But I feel like Jane is acting strangely. I'm just worried that she might reject my proposal."

Aiden and Stephen exchanged glances with one another. They weren't used to seeing Nathan worrying about this.

"C'mon, Nate. Jane is obviously in love with you. Why are you so worried? She might even be the one to propose to you first!" Aiden tried to cheer him up.

Stephen also nodded in agreement. "Yes. Jane talked to me about you. She told me how much she loved you. That's the moment she indirectly rejected me." Stephen smiled sheepishly, scratching his face. He even shared that moment just to make Nathan feel better.

"She didn't give me a chance to confess. She told me you were the only man in her heart."

"Ouch! That's a savage rejection. I pity my best friend." Aiden tried to hug Stephen but he avoided him.

Nathan was at a loss for words. Deep inside, his heart was rejoicing. However, he needed to conceal it to respect Stephen's feelings.

"Anyway, have you brought the ring?" Stephen changed the topic right away. "Do you think it will fit her?"

Nathan nodded. "Hanabi and Black Rose helped me in finding out her finger size."

Aiden's eyes lit up at the mention of Black Rose's name.

"Hmm. We need to thank those ladies! I'll talk to them on your behalf!" Aiden volunteered, just making an excuse to see Black Rose.

Stephen and Nathan looked at each other, shaking their heads in unison.

"Someone is in love here as well," Stephen said, teasing Aiden.

But Aiden just cocked his eyebrow. "Hey, Bro! Why don't you mind your own love life?! Go and get a girl!"
